The 'Beauty and a Beat' singer has amassed over four thousand more followers than the 'Edge of Glory' hit maker, bringing his total to 33,331,355 and counting compared to Gaga's 33,327,342 on the social networking site.

Gaga had held the title for almost three years since overtaking Britney Spears in 2010.

The 'Born This Way' star was also the first Twitter user to cross the 10 million followers threshold, and broke her own record by becoming the first user to cross 20 million followers and then 30 million.

Gaga previously tweeted about Justin's growing Twitter following, saying: "So proud of @justinbieber and all the Beliebers! I'm only happy to see your fans growing in size, you all deserve it! Monsters support you!"

Both singers have prominent fan bases on the website, with Justin's fans nicknamed 'Beliebers', and Gaga's branded 'Little Monsters'.

Fellow pop stars Katy Perry and Rihanna, as well as American President Barack Obama, make up the top five most followed people on Twitter.

The teenage heartthrobs want to jet off to Las Vegas or Mexico for the full Spring Break experience and are hoping a week of fun in the sun will help them get over their break-ups with Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.

A friend of the 'Baby' singer and the One Direction lothario told The Sun newspaper: "The lads talked about a boys' trip when they were going out with the girls, but it was never on the cards. Now they're footloose and fancy-free, they want to make it happen. They might not be old enough to legally drink but that won't stop them."

Justin and Selena ended their on/off relationship after an explosive bust-up on New Year's Eve, with the Disney starlet flying home early from their holiday in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

Taylor and Harry also called it quits on vacation, while the pair was celebrating going public with their short-lived romance with a mini-break in the Caribbean. Country star Taylor was spotted looking glum as she headed to the airport early, and is thought to have confided in her close pal Selena over their mutual heartbreak.

The 18-year-old boys - who both share a penchant for tattoos - now appear to be planning the ultimate guys' vacation to get over their unlucky start to 2013, and are thinking of inviting Harry's One Direction bandmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne along for the ride.

The insider added: "They can afford to rent an entire floor of one of the big hotels like the Wynn. There's talk of making it a proper boys' holiday, with the rest of 1D and their mates."

And how convenient if she had! One of Gomez’s best gal pals, Taylor Swift, is dating Horan’s bandmate Harry Styles. That’s too much star power for one double date if you ask me!

Sources are saying that there is no romance between Gomez and Horan, though. Even further, Horan wouldn’t want to hurt his relationship with Justin Bieber by dating Selena Gomez, and he still apparently only has eyes for Gomez’s other gal pal, ‘X-Factor’ mentor Demi Lovato!

"Niall and Selena are friendly with each other but they don't want to date each other," the source said, according to the Examiner.

"They're not attracted to each other. And if they were attracted to each other (but they're not), Niall wouldn't want to hurt his friendship with Justin [Bieber] by dating Selena. Niall still has a crush on Demi Lovato, who's been Selena's friend for a long time. He wouldn't ruin his chances with Demi by dating Selena."

Another insider said "Justin and Selena don't have full closure on their relationship.”

"They've broken up and gotten back together so many times that it's silly for anyone to think that Niall would want to move in on Selena when there are still some unresolved issues between her and Justin."

The 'Liz & Dick' actress got a warm welcome from fans of the 'As Long As You Love Me' singer and support act The Wanted and took to twitter to thank everyone.

Lindsay's night out at the concert comes after it was revealed she is planning to ignore all of the negative criticism  she recently received for her portrayal of Dame Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime TV biopic 'Liz & Dick'.

A source said: "She thought it was great and she had a good time filming and working on the project. Everybody is a critic and she really doesn't care what anybody says about the movie, at least the negative comments.

"Nobody can replace Liz, she's an iconic woman who was so graceful and elegant and there will be only one Elizabeth Taylor!

"Lindsay did her best and she's pleased with how everything turned out."

The British boy band - Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes - think the Canadian pop heartthrob would fit in perfectly with them and would be a dream extra bandmate.

When asked who they'd pick if they could have one more member in the group, Nathan said: "Bieber would be absolutely mint."

The 'Glad You Came' hitmakers are also convinced Justin would gain them even more female fans.

The boys get sent thousands of letters and packages from their admirers but they admit not all the fan mail they receive is appreciated.

Tom revealed: "One of us got sent a voodoo doll before."

The band were quizzed by fans for a special show to be broadcast on music TV channel VIVA, and they had some fun with some of the questions.

When asked what their biggest fear is, Nathan cheekily said: "Waking up after a nightmare, turning over and Max is there!"

While Tom joked he is scared of his bandmates, saying: "My biggest fear is these four, I hate you all."

One Direction lined-up for annual Jingle Ball concert in New York

One Direction, Taylor Swift, Jason Mraz, and Justin Bieber will lead New York radio station Z100's annual Jingle Ball concert in New York's Madison Square Garden on December 7.

According to MTV.com, The Wanted, who will also perform at the stellar event, announced the lineup at the official kickoff party at the Aeropostale store in Times Square.

"[We're] really excited and just really looking forward to getting there," Siva Kaneswaran told Z100. "It's our first time in the Garden."

Tickets for the concert will go on sale Monday for VIP members and on Tuesday for the general public.

 What amazing look for two newly emigrated Irish girls arriving in Canda. Aoife (14) and Louise (11) Staines, won free passes to Justin Bieber's upcoming tour at a local raffle, in White Fox, Saskatchewan.

The sisters only arrived in Canada with their family last month and won the tickets through their local Credit Union, according to the report in their new local paper the Nipawin Journal.

Their Mom Bridget Staines said "My eldest son Stephen joined the bank recently and they put his name in the Justin Bieber raffle they were running. I must point out that my 18-year-old son is not a fan of Justin Bieber at all, so he never thought anymore about it!

“And then the bank telephoned our home to speak to him about winning the raffle. I told them he won’t be interested in going but his sisters will! My daughters are such big fans it’s untrue. Aoife was telling friends before she left Ireland that if she didn’t like the move to Canada, at least she would be closer to Justin Bieber - and now she really will be! The house was hysterical when I told them, they really are so very pleased.”

Aoife who just started ninth grace at her new local school said "We are so excited, we can’t believe it. I have already picked my outfit to wear - my Justin Bieber bunnyhug and I will be writing his name on my hand too!”

Louise added “All our new friends at school are so excited and happy for us! I don’t think anyone else is going from the school so we will tell them all about it when we get back.”

Although the 'Boyfriend' hitmaker knows he couldn't beat the boy band if they all attacked him as a group, he is confident he could hold his own individually against Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.

He is quoted as saying: "I'd get my ass kicked (against all of them). But one-on-one I'd take them. I'd try a spin-kick. To the face."

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' group should be wary of going one-on-one against the teen heartthrob because he was recently taught to box by former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

The 18-year-old pop star put his pugilistic skills to the test while visiting the 45-year-old retired sportsman - who famously once bit part of opponent Evander Holyfield's ear off during a bout - in Las Vegas.

Mike posted a YouTube video of Justin - who is known to be a big fan of champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. - pounding his fists into a punch bag that the boxing legend is holding, and afterwards the pair high-fived each other.

In a description of the clip on his YouTube page, Mike wrote: "Justin swung by my place during the weekend of the Billboard Music Awards to say hi to the family. We took him straight to garage and had him hit the bag. JB's got the moves! (sic)"

Justin was also recently accused of assaulting a photographer.

The 'Never Say Never' hitmaker was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a paparazzo, who was trying to take pictures of him and his girlfriend Selena Gomez in Calabasas, California.

Justin Bieber was left fuming and hung up on an interview after comments made by radio host Thomas Carballot took a jab at both Bieber’s mother and One Direction pal Harry Styles.
Digital Spy reports that Bieber hung up the phone and refused to rejoin an interview with Detroit's ‘Mojo In The Morning’ on Thursday when host Carballot asked Bieber, "Do you worry about Harry [Styles] around your mom, since he likes older women?"

Bieber asked the DJ to repeat the question, and after he did, Bieber responded by saying  "I think you should worry about your mom, though,.”

Carballot revealed that his mother was dead, to which Bieber responded by hanging up on the call.

Bieber’s management responded to the incident by saying  the Canadian superstar was "a little upset" by the question. After attempts by Bieber to reconnect to the call were failed, they added that he would “probably not” call the station back. 

Carballot has since defended himself by saying he only asked the question after Bieber’s girlfriend, popstar Selena Gomez, made cracks of the same nature on a talkshow.

The radio show’s producer Rachel Giordano said "She [Selena Gomez] made a comment that they'd been becoming friends with One Direction. She jokingly said: 'Ha ha, Justin said we need to keep our moms away because they're hot and young for Harry.’”

"So Justin made a joke, Selena was recounting that story and that's where [we] got it from."

Harry Styles, one of the five members are immensely popular boyband One Direction, has garnered a reputation for dating older women.

Prior to the incident, Bieber had referred to One Direction as “good kids.” Bieber has been rumored to be working on a collaboration with the band.

The couple have befriended the 18-year-old One Direction singer and are surprised that, despite the number of girls his own age who throw themselves at him, he prefers to date older women.

Selena told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Justin has become really good buddies with the guys in One Direction and we know some beautiful young women in the industry who have major crushes on Harry.

"He could probably take his pick from the hottest young girls in Hollywood but from what Justin has been telling me, it's not the young girls he's looking at.

"I guess you just can't blame him when you see how hot women such as Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria and Sofia Vergara look.

"Both me and Justin still have really hot mums and Justin was like, 'Harry might have become one of my best buddies, but with his record, we need to keep him away from our mums.' "

Meanwhile, a young fan managed to evade One Direction's security team at a show in Houston, Texas, by dressing as Louis Tomlinson's girlfriend Eleanor Calder - and even convinced some of the 'One Thing' hitmaker's bandmates that she was the student.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Fans outside the gig believed this girl was Eleanor and started hounding her about Louis and asking for her autograph.

"Security saw the commotion and took her inside the venue to present to Louis, who obviously told them it wasn't her."

The 'Boyfriend' hitmaker - who is dating singer-and-actress Selena Gomez - admits snogging the deceased aquatic animal for a bet was the "worst dare" he's ever done in his life.

He said: "The worst dare I ever did was kissing a fish. It was dead. It was pretty gross."
When he is not busy kissing deceased animals, the 18-year-old singer has found time to tone his muscles in an attempt to improve his physical and mental strength.

He explained: "I've started working out more and getting a bit heavier. I'm just staying fit and active, and want to be strong physically and mentally. It's good for touring. You've got to have agility."

While he has been doing pull-ups and chin-ups, Justin admits he is not yet in peak physical condition and gets "tired easily" when he is working out, but he hopes to rectify that by going out for runs "a lot more" often.

He added to We Love Pop magazine: "I also do pull-ups and chin-ups. I can do about 25 in a row. I do need to run more, I get tired easily.

"My cardio isn't what it should be."

The 18-year-old pop star revealed that he is to record a track alongside Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne on the band's eagerly awaited second album.

Justin told BBC Radio 2: "The One Direction guys are great. We have a lot of fun whenever we hang out. They came over my house and we were just chilling out around the pool and listening to music.

"We were talking about me collaborating with them on a song on their next album. It's gonna be great."
Justin also revealed that 'The X Factor' 2010 rejects are keen to work with come other big names in the music industry.

He said: "And I asked them who else they would like to work with. They were, like, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez.

"Now don't get me wrong those are all very talented artists but there seems to be a pattern emerging and, looking at the smile on the guys' faces, I don't think it was all about the music..."

He continued: "They sure have an eye for the ladies but, even better for the guys, the ladies have a bit of an eye for them, too.

"From what I hear they shouldn't have much trouble trying to persuade Rihanna, Katy or Taylor to work with them... if you know what I'm saying."

Christmas has come early for Justin Bieber and One Direction fans with the news that a collaboration between the pop artists may be on the cards.

Speaking about Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne, Bieber told Radio 2: “They’re my boys.”

"They came to my house, we hung out. I have a pool so we all went in and chilled out." Bieber revealed.

He added: "If they want me on their album, they just have to ask. They’re talented."

In April, Irish native Niall Horan hinted that the hitmakers had worked together.

The Mullingar native tweeted: “in the studio with our boy @justinbieber last night , its gona sound great! [sic]”

An avid fan, Bieber took to the social networking site recently to congratulate the boy band on their success.

“congrats to my dudes @onedirection for the #1 album on itunes and @thewantedmusic for the #2 on singles. [sic]”

Excuse us? Yep. You read that right. Not only that but he punched him twice, where it hurts!


According to reports in the UK’s tabloid newspaper, The Mirror, Justin Bieber punched Siva Kaneswaran, the Irish member of top band The Wanted, where it hurts, twice.

Apparently the rest of the boys from The Wanted just looked “on in horror”, and shouted a couple of curse words at The Biebs as the unlikely scene unfolded backstage at “The US Voice” in LA.

Oh but don’t worry, the unprovoked attack was a joke…erm? Ha? Ha?

The Wanted had just performed their new single, “Chasing the Sun,” which is featured on the “Ice Age 4” soundtrack.

Jay McGuinness, one of The Wanted boys, explained, “Justin Bieber is a prankster.

“He pranks people all day. Although I’m not actually sure that what he did to Siva was a prank…We’d done the show and Justin basically just came up and punched Siva hard in the b****. And then did it again. Siva wanted to hit him back, but you can’t go around smacking kids… he’s only little.”

The Mirror commented that Bieber wasn’t fully grown yet, remarking that they’re “not even convinced he’s been through puberty.”

These punches don’t really seem like they were part of a joking romp though. It seems The Beibs really hurt the over six-foot Blanchardstown boy.

Tom Parker said, “Siva limped into the dressing room and asked, ‘Why’s he picking on me?’ It was funny.”

Not my idea of a joke anyway.

I don’t blame Kaneswaran for plotting his revenge. The Biebs better watch his back next month when he’s set to share the stage with The Wanted boys at Wembley stadium, in London.

Kaneswaran said, “Who’d win in a fight, me or Bieber? Exactly. But you cannot go around hitting children. And anyway, he’s got million dollar sperm… I couldn’t possibly go there.

“But I’ll get him back...”

Singer Tom Parker said: "He was really nice. A really, really nice guy."

Bandmate Jay McGuiness added: "We talked about collaborating, and we have a song that we think he'd sound great on."

The boy band - whose song 'Glad You Came' has just gone double platinum by selling over two million copies - area also hoping to work with singer Chris Brown at some point.

Siva Kaneswara said: "We've talked to Chris Brown as well, which would be really good. We talked to Chris actually when we were on 'The Voice,' and he said he was down as well."

Tom added: "It's all up for discussion," while Max George said the group also have a song they would Chris would sound "great" on.

The band - completed by Nathan Sykes - have previously said they are confident of their continued success, as their songs keep getting better.

Jay said: "You always want to do better than your last song, and we've always set a really high standard with 'Glad You Came' already. But I think we know now from the singles we've got in our pocket, there's no way we're going anywhere. We're here to stay, and our songs are going to get better and better. I'm just bragging so hard right now."

The 'Never Say Never' hitmaker - who is dating Selena Gomez - believes girls will go "crazy" for the 'What Makes You Beautiful' singers because they are "genuine good guys" and he's tipped them to be the biggest boy band in the world.

He said: "The single guys from One Direction are going to have a lot of fun.

"They look great, they sound great and, when you add their British accents into the mix, the American girls are going crazy for them.

"Sure you need the talent, but you need to win over the American public, that's what it is all about. One Direction are genuine good guys.

"The industry needs a fresh boy band, and by the end of this year they will be the biggest boy band in the world."

Justin, 18, revealed he knows a big-name star who has the hots for One Direction's Harry Styles - who is in the group alongside Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik - but he has been "sworn to secrecy".

He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I already know one of the biggest artists in the world thinks Harry is so hot, but I have been sworn to secrecy."

One Direction scored a number one with their debut album 'Up all Night' last month while touring in the country in support of Big Time Rush.

The boy band will return to the country in December for their biggest headlining concert to date at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The ‘Contraband’ star is planning to make a movie with teen heartthrob Justin about his favourite sport, and says it was an immediate and natural choice for them to work together.

Asked why he picked the ‘Baby’ singer, Mark told MTV: “Intuition. I'm pretty intuitive.

“I see the guy and spent time with him and you see what he does and how he does it, and then you actually have a conversation with him and it's there.”

Although 17-year-old Justin has had little previous big screen experience - aside from his documentary film ‘Never Say Never’ - Mark is confident he can make the project work, adding: "It's there - and if not, I will extract it."

Mark has previously likened the project to ‘The Colour of Money’, a 1986 film about an old pool player and his young protege, starring Paul Newman and a young Tom Cruise.

He added: "Wait till you see me and Bieber in the flick. Think of, like, 'The Colour of Money.”

Mark is hoping the film can go into production in 2012.

But Robert isn't the only star to have adopted a puppy. After Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez – who has five rescue dogs - visited Winnipeg animal rescue center D'Arcy's ARC last month, they fell in love with a 10-week-old husky, which they named Baylor.

D'Arcy Johnston, chief executive officer of the rescue center, said: "They spent a lot of time with the puppies. I was told that Selena was missing the dogs that she has at home.

"I wasn't expecting her to adopt a dog while she was on tour and has a busy schedule. Baylor probably would have had a bad life or a very short life. But he got rescued and brought to our shelter and is now going to live a very good life."
