Megan Fox shows no love for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Megan Fox says that the Olsen twins are "socially awkward".

"The Transformers" star, now Mrs Brian Austin Greene worked with the millionaire twins on the 2001 movie "Holiday in the Sun".

She said that she was very surprised by the twins. "They’re nice girls…The first time I had ever been around someone really famous was them. We were kids, I was about 15 and so were they.

“I saw how awkward socially they were with large groups of people because they had been famous their whole lives and looked at their whole lives and I didn’t understand why anyone would be like that.

“I had no understanding about why you would shut down and be afraid and have phobias, but as it happens to you you sort of develop them and become crazy.”

Kristen Stewart and her 16-year-old co-star Dakota Fanning lock lips in their new movie "The Runaways". The pair play rockers, Cherie Currie and Joan Jett respectively.

Fanning said that she found the kiss very "comfortable" and said that there was nothing awkward about the kissing scene. However, she admitted that this was her first female kiss.

This year Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won the Best Kiss award from MTV. Perhaps Fanning and Stewart could pick up the gong next year.

"Was it awkward? When you feel comfortable around someone and you have no defenses up, that's when you're going to be the best. I feel very comfortable with Kristen," Fanning said.

Fanning also said that despite the adult content in the movie she would feel comfortable that her Christian parents could watch the movie.

"My mom was there on set the whole time. My dad saw it at the Sundance festival and I wasn't really nervous because I've been doing this since I was six, so he's used to seeing me in different situations."

Having been in the film industry for so long and since she was such a small child Fanning has been finding it difficult to get into roles which illustrate that she's growing up.

"I wanted to do a different kind of movie because I am getting older and my parents had no doubts about the project whatsoever…I think everyone was comfortable because it's a true story."

Alec Baldwin graciously accepts Emmy defeat on behalf of '30 Rock'

Alec Baldwin got all philosophical about "30 Rock's" incredible three-year run as best comedy on the Primetime Annual Emmy Awards.

On Sunday the show lost out to "Modern Family" for the top slot. Baldwin also lost out to Jim Parson's from "The Big Bang Theory" for best actor in a comedy series.

Baldwin said "Nothing can last forever. We knew that eventually we'd have to watch someone else pick up the Emmy; this is the year it happened.

"We've been very lucky, and I can't complain. I'm a big Jim Parsons fan."

"I've never watched `Modern Family" he said. Oddly he blames this on the fact that he watches most of his sitcoms on airplanes.

"I used to see `Everybody Loves Raymond' on the plane; I've watched every damn episode."

Mickey Rourke head over heels about model girlfriend

Hard-man Mickey Rourke, 57, has never hidden his affection for model girlfriend Anastassija Makaranko and this past week has been no exception.

In New York after a lunch in the Meatpacking District with his 24-year-old Russian gal pal, Rourke was photographed kissing and affectionately embracing her in public.

Since their first day the couple have been inseparable.

The Oscar winner, sporting a new sexy tight hair-cut, seems to be settling down by all accounts.

Lindsay Lohan pulled over by cops in her brand new Maserati

It has been reported that Lindsay Lohan has already gotten in trouble with the cops.

The Irish American actress was released from rehab only last Tuesday and she has already be stopped by the cops. She served 13 days of a 90 sentence in jail and just over three weeks of a 90 day period in rehab for DUIs.

X17Online.com has reported that Lohan was stopped by the cops on Sunday morning. Apparently the 24-year-old actress was trying to get to the Chateau Marmont Hotel, a favorite late night hang out of hers.

X17Online.com did not release what the police had spoken to her about but did say that she was let off with a warning.

It seems that Robert Pattinson has gotten over his paparazzi scare of last week and braved the streets of L.A. last night to attend Jimmy Fallon's post Primetime Emmy Awards party.

The paparazzi caught up with Pattinson, some friends and his pregnant agent, Stephanie Ritz, as they left Soho House before heading to Fallon's party at Trousdale.

Pattinson was looking relaxed and a little scruffier that he did while filming "Water for Elephants". He sported a casual jacket and baseball cap and quite a lot of facial stubble. Although who's to blame him as he's on vacation in L.A. resting up before they film the final two pieces of "The Twilight Saga".

Heading out to Fallon's party just shows what a good sport Pattinson is. Jimmy Fallow constantly makes fun of Pattinson in his "Robert is Bothered" skits.

'Girl with Dragon Tattoo', Rooney Mara is dating 'Clockwork Orange'

Rooney Mara, who will play the coveted role of Lisbeth Salander, in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", is dating the son of "A Clockwork Orange" star, Malcolm McDowell. His son, Charles McDowell is making a name for himself already as a fledgling director.

Although Rooney Mara has been rocketed into the role of Hollywood glitterati with her new role as the heroine in the movie adaptations of Stieg Larsson's novels Charles family connections has meant that he is an old hand on the Hollywood scene.

Charles is the son of actors Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenbergen. Steenbergen is now married to Ted Danson, who just happens to be Charles' godfather.

This shot was snapped as the pair said their farewells before Mara heads off to Sweden to begin filming "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" alongside Daniel Craig.

Ricky Gervais was on stage for less than five minutes but seemed to out shine the show's host, Jimmy Fallon.

It seems that Ricky Gervais, literally cannot help himself. He caused controversy as the host of the Golden Globe Awards, commenting on the audience's impeccable plastic surgery and Angelina Jolie's adoption history and on Sunday he brought his slightly toned down comedy to the Emmy's stage.

Gervais, "The Office" creator, was presenting the award for Director and Series in the Variety, Music or Comedy Series category but before he did he added a little bit of his world famous humor.

It was quite hilarious how many stars he got to comment on in just a few seconds. He then went on to have a go at Mel Gibson. He said "I’m not gonna have a go at him. He’s been through a lot. [Pause] Not as much as the Jews.”

He also commented on the fact that he could say what he liked at the Golden Globe as the audience were all drunk and criticized the no alcohol policy of the Emmys. He then offered the entire audience a beer with waiters handing beers out to the stars.

Katy Perry is smitten -- and not by Russell Brand.

She fell for Irish lifeguard Stepehn Concannon and demanded he take his shirt off and show his buff body during his turn on 'The X Factor.'

Perry was a guest judge when the show went to Ireland to scope out talent there.

When Concannon came onstage Perry and fellow host Cheryl Cole seemed smitten.

When he told the panel he was a lifeguard. Katy replied: 'Honey, I'm drowning! Save me please!' Cheryl was serenaded by the lifeguard and then Perry ordered him to take his shirt off.


After he sang Perry told him she would only put him through to the next round if he took his shirt off.

He quickly obliged, leaving Cheryl, Katy and the female members of the audience happy.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: Life after "The Twilight Saga"

After such a tumultuous couple of years playing Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in "The Twilight Saga" franchise, it will be interesting to see how this pair fair after the dust has settled.

This fall they will begin their last spell of filming of the movies, with "Breaking Dawn" part one and two being filmed simultaneously. When that's finished the pair will be free agents, already international film stars, and, no doubt, the film offers will come flooding in.

Before, the beast that is "The Twilight Saga" took over their lives, Robert Pattinson had already become a teen heartthrob playing Cedric Diggory in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" in 2007. Since then he's starred in other films such as "Little Ashes," when he played Salvador Dali, and "How to Be."

But now a little older and more experienced in the world of Hollywood, Pattinson is making a real mark on the scene, and he's become a respected star. Although his movie "Remember Me," where he starred with Pierce Brosnan didn't do very well in the box office, it was a new side of Pattinson and he was trying something different. Again, with the movie "Bel Ami" he's earning kudos as he goes.

His latest film "Water for Elephants," which he recently finished shooting in Louisiana, if it's anything like the novel it's based on, should be great success. Pattinson stars alongside Reese Witherspoon, and all the reports from the set were that Pattinson was a consummate professional throughout. When "Twilight" is finished he will go on to star in the western "Unbound Captives".

It seems to me that Kristen Stewart's future could be more of a risk. Her "Twilight" character, Bella Swan, has become an obsession with her fans. She herself has said that she feels a great amount of pressure from her adoring fans who know her character from the Stephanie Meyers' books inside out. She could very well run the risk of being typecast, unable to break the shackles of the character Bella Swan.

However Stewart has also spread her wings over the last couple of years. She too has been involved in independent productions such as "The Runaways" and "Welcome to the Rileys" but neither did well at the box office. She has just finished filming "On the Road", based on Jack Kerouac's novel, in Montreal. This movie should do well, with a Kerouac cult following if nothing else. After "Twilight" she has two projects already in the pipeline, "An American Girl" and "Blackwoods."

However, like the young cast of "Harry Potter", it will be interesting to see where they will all be in three or four years. Will they have been able to break away from their beloved characters to create proper movie careers or will they forever be known as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan?

Time to really lock up Paris Hilton after latest cocaine arrest

Just when you thought Paris Hilton could not do anything more stupid comes news of her arrest for cocaine possession.

Hilton was booked into Clark County Detention Centre in Las Vegas after she was stopped while in a car driven by a friend.

The car was stopped when officers noticed what they suspected to be marijuana smoke coming from it, he said.

"Officers noticed a vehicle leaving smoke trail of a controlled substance (and) made a stop based on that," a spokesman said.

Hilton was found to be in possession of cocaine when they searched her.

This is breathtakingly stupid even by Paris Hilton standards.

She and Lindsay Lohan are quickly becoming the standard for bad girl behavior in America and a terrible example to kids who adore them.

It will not stop either until one or both of them are forced to do real time, not slap on the wrist time.

Time to lock up Paris and throw the key away for a while if she is found guilty.

Paris Hilton's boyfriend pulled a gun on her home intruder

The man who tried to break in to Paris Hilton's home this week has been charged with attempted residential burglary with a person present.

Earlier this week the man attempted to break into Paris Hilton's L.A. home but was greeted by Hilton's boyfriend who pulled a gun on the intruder.

TMZ reports that law enforcement sources confirmed that Hilton's boyfriend, Los Vegas nightclub owner, Cy Waits, grabbed a gun and checked out the situation. He had been alerted to the intruder by Hilton who heard noises coming from downstairs at about 6.30am on Tuesday.

Waits said that he spotted Nathan Parada, who has been charged, through the window. He was carrying two knives, a kitchen knife and a buck hunting knife.

Hilton Tweeted at 7.18am "So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting him." She also posted a picture of the arrest (see above).

Later Parada told the cops that he had planned to find Hilton's house. He purchased a Star Map on Hollywood Boulevard and followed it to her house. He is currently on a 5150 psychiatric hold in custody.

Hilton has now installed infrared technology to spot intruders. She has also hired two fulltime body guards to protect her.

'Twilight's' Robert Pattinson loses out to 'Vampire Diaries'' Ian Somerhalder in Sex Beast Poll

Yes. It's true the unthinkable has happened. Robert Pattinson has only come second in the Entertainment Weekly summer poll for the top Sexy Beast.

It was expected that Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen in "The Twilight Saga" would win out over all the other ghastly and ghoulish characters from the silver screen but it seems that it was not to be.

The Entertainment Weekly poll was done over Twitter and Facebook, as well as on their own website. Over 30 days they received an amazing 1.5 million votes.

The site announced the poll as "Take 64 of the hottest vampires, werewolves, aliens, mutants, monsters, and machines ever to grace the pop-culture landscape; pit them against one another in a good old-fashioned, single-elimination bracket tourney; see who prevailed (while indulging in a little eye-candy perusal in the process).”

They joked that along the way there were upsets, such as "Battlestar Galactica" being ousted in the second round. Then came surprises with "Charmed's" Cole Turner, who plays Belthazor, making it to round 16. Also the poll brought heartbreak to those at Entertainment Weekly offices as Ms. Pac-man had a humiliatingly early exit from the poll.

In the end it was a close competition between Somerhalder and Pattinson with just 200 votes in the difference on the final day of voting.

When asked how he felt about winning the top spot Somerhalder said it was all about Justin Bieber. He said "I think [co-star Matt Davis] text-messaged Justin Bieber and said ‘Hey, would you please vote for my friend?’ I’m not even kidding.”

So there you have it! If it weren't for Justin Bieber and his insane international mega stardom Robert Pattinson would have won out on this poll.

Olive Wilde was spotted on a beach in Los Angeles, taking a well earned break from filming "Cowboys and Aliens", alongside Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.

The Irish American star of the Hugh Laurie medical drama, "House", got in awesome shape while filming the upcoming "Tron: Legacy" movie. Before and during the film she had to train in combat.

Also in "Cowboys and Aliens" she has a sex scene that she was quite paranoid about. The actress said she wanted to be in tip top condition during filming.

"Tron: Legacy" will be released in December 2010.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston official announce their pregnancy

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have officially announced that their going to have a baby boy. The couples representatives have sent word to People Magazine that the pair are ecstatic about the news. The bouncing baby boy will join the family in November.

Travolta and Preston already have a ten-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. Their 16-year-old son, Jett, died at the beginning of 2009 while the family were holidaying in the Bahamas.

According to E! Online the couple had a celebration, with about 40 guests at the Los Angeles home. The party was co-hosted by Forest Whitaker's wife, Keshia.

Lindsay Lohan - a no show at 'Machete' screening, ordered to enter counseling and another $1 million offer - SEE VIDEO

Although Lindsay Lohan did not attend a screening of her newest movie "Machete" she will be able to return to work while abiding by her new court sanctioned schedule.

Judge Elden S Fox, of the Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered Lindsay Lohan to partake in psychotherapy and addiction counseling sessions several times a week until November. She will also undergo random drug tests for drug and alcohol screening.

The troubled starlet was released early from rehab on Tuesday. If she does not comply these orders she could spent up to 30 days in prison.

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan's lawyer, said "She has changed…She's healthy. She's clear-headed. She is positive at looking forward." Lohan will return to court on November 1.

Lohan also got more good news as a New York radio station has offered her and her mother a $1 million deal presenting New York's Party 105's morning show. The Mom daughter duo would chat about all sorts of topics from fashion to entertainment, according to RadarOnline. She could even give listeners advice on how to live their lives!

Bill O’Reilly doesn’t bother Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has said that she doesn’t care if Bill O’Reilly’s wasn’t a fan of her latest Elle photo shoot with Justin Bieber.

The shoot which appears in the latest edition of Elle magazine show Kim and 16 year old Justin frolicking on the beach and having a good time together. Speaking about the photos O’Reilly said they are “gross ... It's a 16 year-old having an affair with a celebutante!"

Kardashian told Loqez Tonight on Tuesday, "I thought the shoot was all in fun, we had a good time, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion on it. But we were just having a good time. The amazing creative team at Elle magazine obviously thought it was a great shoot and so did everyone. Everyone's loved it. It was all in fun."

New Rose of Tralee Clare Kambamettu to quit her London job, move back to Ireland

The new Rose of Tralee Clare Kambamettu , the London Rose, will move back to Ireland after winning the title she has revealed. The half Indian/half Irish winner also hopes to represent ethnic minorities

"I thought Daithi (Daithi O'Shea the presenter) was messing when he called out my name. I thought 'he's got to be joking' -- but obviously he wasn't.

"Any of the 31 girls who I've spent the past ten days could equally have been in my shoes. It's just been a fantastic experience and I can't wait for the year ahead."

The 25-year-old London based psychologist from Kildare, who was born in Leeds in England, told the Evening Herald she never thought she'd win.

"I think it's fantastic that Ireland has become so multi-cultural and more and more diverse over the last ten years or so. I just can't believe I'm getting this opportunity," she said.

"I hope that I'll be able to represent not only the Indian community but different ethnic minorities throughout the world as well as I can.

"My dad's particularly delighted. He didn't grow up with it so it means so much to him." Her father is a doctor who moved to Ireland 20 years ago.

"He's in complete shock, he and my mum Breda both are. They're so excited that I'm going to be moving home, although I still need to hand in my notice," she laughed.

She said her predecessor, Charmaine Kenny also a London Rose was a great support.

"Charmaine has told me all about the fantastic things she has done and the things I can get involved in and I can't wait to sit down and have a proper chat with her," she added.

Meanwhile it has been revealed that over 1 million viewers saw the London Rose crowned the 52nd Rose of Tralee at 11:15pm on Tuesday essentially one in four people in the Irish Republic.

Robert Pattinson's life was in danger while filming 'Water for Elephants'

While filming, alongside Reese Witherspoon, in "Water for Elephants", Robert Pattinson almost gave his life to his art by being squashed by a 9,000-pound elephant, called Rosie.

That would not have been a terrible rock and roll obituary!

According to the National Enquirer Pattinson was riding on Rosie's back when she tossed him off and nearly rolled on top of him as he lay on the ground.

In the movie, filmed in Louisiana, Pattinson climbs on top of the elephant to give it a shower while talking to Reese Witherspoon below. Pattinson plays the character of a young man who has run off to join the circus in the 1930s.

A source said "The script called for the elephant to step forward while swinging her trunk from side to side, but Rosie got her signals mixed up.

“Instead, she sat down on her big butt, lifted her front legs — then rolled over. Before anyone could react, Robert slid right down the elephant’s back. It could have been a disaster if she’d rolled over on him — but he got lucky, landing face first in a pile of dirt and mud. He was filthy, but unharmed.

“Everyone on the set cracked up — especially Reese, who was laughing so hard she couldn’t catch her breath.”

Thankfully Pattinson took the accident in good humor and said "I'm just glad she didn't roll on top of me."

Lindsay Lohan released from rehab after just 23 days

Lindsay Lohan must be breaking some kind of records for the quickest served sentence! Having being given 90 days in prison she was released after just 13 and now she gets out of rehab after just 23. Houdini would be impressed!

Lohan left the UCLA Medical Centre on Tuesday through the back door.

Hollywood TV owner, Sheeraz Hasan, who provided her with a getaway car, said "She is out. She is definitely out. I can't give you any other information right now, but she is out."

The troubled star was to complete two 45-day back-to-back program at UCLA. Programs such as these only admit patients who suffer from a mental disorder and a substance abuse problem. However it has come to light that Lohan was misdiagnosed with a mental disorder and she is now free to be treated for her addiction as an outpatient.

Her mother, Dina, is no doubt thrilled that she is being released. She has said that Lohan will travel to New York as soon as possible to avoid the media and justice systems eagle eyes in L.A. Lohan's father, on the other hand, has said that Lohan belongs in rehab and that Dina should join her there.

Sean Penn goes Goth shooting with Bono’s daughter in Dublin

Sean Penn was spotted rocking the Goth look while filming in Dublin this week. Penn is currently filming "This Must be the Place" alongside Bono's daughter, Eve Hewson and Frances McDormand.

Wearing leathers, lipstick and eyeliner with a wild black wig he looked almost unrecognizable.

Filming took place in Georgian Dublin, on Mount Street, on Monday. The filming involved a simulated fire in one of the Georgian houses. Dublin locals and the fire brigade looked on open-mouthed.

The film is being made by an Irish company, Element Pictures. Filming will take place in Dublin, New York, Detroit and New Mexico.

Susan Boyle tormented on train, driven to tears

Singing sensation Susan Boyle was driven to tears on a train in Scotland after a group of hateful thugs tormented her with a barrage of cruel taunts.

The homespun superstar was sitting alone on the service from Edinburgh on her way home in Blackburn when the loudmouthed louts began mocking her.

Boyle, 49, at first ignored them but she was eventually left sobbing as the rants got worse.

According to the Scottish press she told her mockers: 'I'm normally patient but I am about to greet, greet, greet. I don't normally get angry with people.' The Britain's Got Talent runner-up continued: 'I'm ashamed of you all - shut up. I'm warning you, it's not funny. You wouldn't like it.'

One eyewitness told The Scottish Sun they were disgusted at how Susan was targeted because of her sensitivity and her fame.

They said: 'Susan was minding her own business on the train. Some people were taking pictures. There were people laughing at her - it was not nice. People noticed she was sobbing - something was upsetting her. She then turned to the people sitting opposite her and told them off. Susan certainly put them in their place - and good for her. It can't be easy dealing with the fame she has but she handled it well."

The incident happened as Boyle took a 30-minute train journey on her way home to Blackburn on Sunday afternoon. A spokeswoman for the 20 million singer refused to comment last night.

Rose of Tralee 2010 is London Rose Clare Kambamettu - SEE VIDEO

Clare Kambamettu (26), a psychologist, is the daughter of Dr Ravi Kambamettu, an Indian-born doctor in Kildare. Amazingly she is the second successive winner from the small town of Athy who moved to London in two years.

Last year's winner Charmaine Kenny also moved to London from Athy.

Born in Leeds, England, she returned to Ireland at age eight. Educated at Scoil Mhuire, Athy and University College Galway, Clare went on to do a Master’s Degree in Psychology at King’s College, London. Now working for the National Health Service, she plans to embark on further studies, having applied for a Phd in Clinical Psychology.

"It's been an absolutely amazing week," she said after she was announced the winner, "and what I've learned about the Rose of Tralee is that everything you think is going to happen, you just double it, and triple it, and add a million on to it and you get somewhere near what actually happens."

According to her mum, Breda, Clare decided to enter the competition when she saw an advertisement on her way home from work one evening.

“She had been attending a lot of very serious interviews and just decided that this would be a bit of fun,” said Breda,

The Rose of Tralee festival annually brings 100,000 visitors to the Kerry town for a week-long festival.

The show is shown live on Irish television over two nights with up to 1.5 million people viewing it. It is also broadcast via internet world-wide.

Conan O'Brien's writers will suffer big pay cuts on move to TBS

Even though Conan O'Brien negotiated that his writers would stay with him when "The Tonight Show" moves over to TBS, Perez Hilton has reported that the long suffering writers will have to endure a serious pay cut.

An "insider" told Perez "This is no surprise. One show was broadcast network; the other is basic cable. It's a different pay scale. It's not just writers; it's everybody. None of this is resolved."

It's hard to know what a pay cut is by their terms though. Conan O'Brien felt hard done by when he walked away from NBC and Jay Leno with $32 million last year. So much so, that he felt entitled to have the entire world feel sorry him. With $32 million in my back pocket I don't think I'd be able to contain my delight!

Maybe the poor writers with TBS will be cut to only $500,000 a year. Poor dears!

Lindsay Lohan could be released from rehab as soon as today

Judge Elden Fox is set to issue an order of release for Lindsay Lohan today. Yesterday, Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, made a surprise visit to the courthouse to file for the release.

It is thought that Lohan will be released at some stage this week and it could even be as soon as today. She will continue her treatment with the rehab center as an outpatient.

Lohan only served 13 days of her 90-day jail sentence and now she being let off early from her rehab stint. Whether she was prescribed with the wrong drugs for ADHD or not I would think that such erratic and self destructive behavior, like that which we've witnessed for the last couple of months, would need more than just a couple of days treatment.

Let's hope Lohan knows what she's doing.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart continue to be tormented in L.A. hideout

It seems that over the weekend a line was crossed by the paparazzi when the lives of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were put in danger.

The paparazzi, having seen reports showing the address and photographs of their house, like the Hollywood Live exclusive, chased the couple from the airport, on Saturday, forcing them to seek refuge with the police.

There is admiration and obsession and then there is putting people's lives at risk just to snap an opportune shot of two, obviously, secretive people on their way to their home to have a rest.

I would have thought the case of Princess Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed being run off the road by paparazzi and killed in Paris, in 1997, might have taught those snap happy photographers something.

The Hollywood Life report also showed shots of inside the pair's house in Bel Air. Gossip Cop recently made a good point. If the couple wanted their house to be in the public domain there would be a gorgeous color feature in this month's InStyle or People but there's not.

E! Online and other magazines and webzines reported "It’s literally miles away from civilization – you can’t even see it from the entrance way. It’s officially in the middle of nowhere…One entrance is protected by a huge gate, barbed wire and about 5 security cameras! If they want privacy, they’ll get it – minus helicopters, of course.” Why didn't they just print the address?!
They should have the right to keep the inside of their own house a secret unless they decide otherwise.

I hope that Robert Pattinson's recent experience with the mad paparazzi in L.A. isn't going to turn him off settling in the east coast. A source, apparently a close friend to Pattinson, told Look magazine that he was very much looking forward to it.

They said "I think when Robert really thought about it, he realized that as much as he’d like to live in New York, he doesn’t want to be anywhere without Kristen.”

I hope he can manage to feel safe in his own home after his experience over the weekend.

Daithi O’Se, Ireland’s most eligible bachelor, confesses love for New Jersey Rose of Tralee

Ireland’s most eligible bachelor has been snagged by love -- with a New Jersey girl who was the New Jersey 2008 Rose of Tralee.

TV presenter Daithi O’Se has confirmed the "special person" in his life is 2008 New Jersey Rose Rita Talty.

O’Se from Dingle in Kerry has become Ireland’s most eligible man after a career as a butcher, cook, circus ringmaster and now TV host.

Daithi is presenting this year’s Rose of Tralee event amid fevered speculation as to who his secret beau was.

Yesterday he went on radio to come clean.

"I started going out with a girl over the summer -- she started hounding me and I hounded her right back," he said.

"I have known her for a long time through the Rose of Tralee -- she was the New Jersey Rose back in 2008. That's when we became friends in the beginning and we have stayed in contact since then.

"She is living in (Dumont) New Jersey and we stayed in contact for the first year or so and after Christmas we met up once or twice in the States. I was working on a show (in the US) and we decided we would give it a go."

Talty works in her family bar business in Dumont, New Jersey.

"It's great to have someone so supportive at this time. It's great to have someone like Rita in my life at the moment -- very important and great for me because she understands what goes along with the gig of being a Rose. She has been through the whole thing and been through it from the other side.

"But she will be the first person throwing rotten tomatoes at me tonight," he laughed.

"No, seriously, it is great to have someone that supportive with you. To have someone like that with you, someone you don't have to explain that (pressure) to -- it is great."

He said long-distance romances had problems , but said he was in "a really happy place at the moment".

“She is someone very special and we're getting along together really well.”

Mariah Carey expecting a new arrival?

The bump watch continues for Irish American Mariah Carey who looks --well pregnant. She is married to actor, rapper Nick Cannon.

Carey has not been around much lately. Her twitter account makes it seem like there might have been another reason for her absence from the spotlight as of late.

After her performance on Saturday at The Festa do Peão de Boiadeiro in Barretos, Sao Paulo Carey tweeted “Seriously,I really do love it here,beautiful people inside and out! Tonite was tuff 4 me 4 personal reasons,but U got me thru!L4L”

Lindsay Lohan seeks compensation from court system

Yet again Lohan has come out of this situation as a victim.

It seems that series of misdiagnosis have led to her behavior, imprisonment and rehab.

Doctors have reported that Lohan was misdiagnosed. The doctor's at UCLA's Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Westwood have stated that Lohan does not have an addiction to methamphethamine and also does not suffer from bipolar disorder.

She also does not have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She had been prescribed Adderall to help with the symptoms of ADHD. This drug could have been the cause of her manic behavior of the last couple of months.

Lohan is now looking for restitution for having been sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating probation on a 2007 drink driving charge. She was released from jail after serving only 13 days.

FOX 411 Pop Tarts were told "Lindsay is fuming – she is really upset that the courts put her through all this."

However a Santa Monica-based Criminal Defense Attorney, Steve Cron, said "No judge or prosecutor could be sued under these circumstances, they have absolute immunity…Judge Revel formulated her opinion of Lindsay based on the information she had at the time from another program. The judge could still be dissatisfied with the report from UCLA and seek independent opinions or insist Lindsay be enrolled in other programs."

The Los Angeles district attorney's office has said that the "Mean Girls" star may avoid the full 90-day sentence in rehab.

Bill Clinton celebrates 64th birthday with A-list bash

Former President Bill Clinton celebrated his 64th birthday surrounded by his family and friend in the Hampton's, on Long Island. Of course his guest list was filled with A-list names.

Among the famous names on the guest list were Vera Wang, Katie Couric, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Buffet, Christie Brinkley, Matt Lauer and Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein, according to the New York Post.

Bill and Hillary Clinton held the party at the Water Mill home of Bill's longtime aide, Doug Bank and his wife, Lily. The party was catered by Jason Weiner of Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton.

The cherry on the top of this amazing evening was that Paul McCartney serenaded the former president with the 1967 Beatle's hit "When I'm Sixty-four". Who could ask for more!

Rooney Mara the new IT girl as Vanity Fair cover beckons for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

It's official Rooney Mara is the new IT girl, having nabbed the hottest role in Hollywood as the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Since the announcement Mara has become a household name in Hollywood and Vanity Fair are said to be planning a cover.

Amazingly folks seem to actually like her--rare for Hollywood.

"She was a sweetheart. She's still new in the Industry, but I can tell she's going to be in this a long time. She kind of reminded me of a Natalie Portman...her energy and everything."

Rooney’s Irish resume is pretty substantial. Her grandfather is Timothy Rooney, the proprietor of Yonkers Raceway in New York and the 2005 grand marshal of the New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Timothy’s daughter, Kathleen, is Rooney’s mom.

Patricia Rooney Mara, her real name, is also the grand-niece of Daniel Rooney, currently the U.S. ambassador to Ireland and founder of the global Ireland Funds which have raised millions and millions for Irish charitable causes. Bill O'Reilly right to slam Justin Bieber,Kim Kardashian photo shoot

Bill O'Reilly has slammed the 'Mrs Robinson' photo shoot between Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian which was in Elle magazine recently.

Bill sees a double standard here. If a 16-year-old girl was pictured provocatively with a 29-year-old man there would be hell to play.

He's right you know. Enough of this double standard!

O’Reilly condemned the pictures saying, “I will tell you this, if a 16 year-old girl was pictured with a 29-year-old man in any of that, he’d be in big trouble.”

Rebecca Diamond a panelist disagreed: "It's every sixteen-year-old male's dream to have pictures with Kim Kardashian."

Not so, said O'Reilly: "I wanted to be a baseball player, I didn't want to hang out with Kim Kardashian. So not everyone."

"You weren't into women at sixteen years old?" asked Diamond.

"No I wasn't. I had a baseball glove, a bat and ice skates," O'Reilly shot back. "That's what I was doing." Yup, ice skates.
He said, “I wanted to be a baseball player [at 16]. I didn’t want to hang around with Kim Kardashian.”

Was the kiss between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart staged?

During the week some photographs of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kissing were circulating the gossip sites.

But I,for one, don't believe that the photos were real.

One site posted a quote from the ecstatic paparazzo himself. He said "I’ve been chasing them for almost 1.5 years. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time." Somehow I don't think that's a real quote at all.

There are two options. One is that the photograph was staged, just like their awkward lip locking at this year's MTV Awards or two, they were just hugging and the photographer managed to snap them at the right time. Either way I'm still not convinced they're a couple.

However other sites immediately posted "it's on!" articles. The couple still haven't, to my knowledge, admitted that they're more than just friends, who are supporting each other as they go from zero to international mega super stars in just three years.

One site said that "Twilight" movie producer, Wyck Godfrey, let it slip some time ago. He is quoted as saying "I hope they will stay together. Because of course would be very strange if they broke up in the next movie. I really hope they keep going out.” For all we know he was talking about Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, and the reporter just took it out of context.

The pair were also spotted arriving to LAX airport together before they went to their Bel Air retreat luxury house to relax before they begin filming again for "Twilight: Breaking Dawn".

I suppose it's up to the public to decide until Pattinson and Stewart announce it officially.

Brittany Murphy’s husband’s coroner's report raises questions over deaths

Some people still won't let it go. Brittany Murphy and her husband died months apart from essentially different causes but there are some questions that are still making the public ask questions.

The British website, Holy Moly, questioned the fact that both Murphy and Simon Monjack were suffering from anemia and pneumonia when they died, although they died months apart. It's hard to know whether the site is inferring that the pair died from poisoning.

It could have been, simply, that they ate the same food and lived the same lifestyle leaving them susceptible to anemia and that they were simply too slow in realizing that they had pneumonia. However, it is strange that this would have happened twice in the same household, all within a few months.

Holy Moly's other theories are even more strange. The site states the coroner's report, Sharon Murphy, Brittany's Mother showed the coroner around the family house during the investigation. She pointed to the marital bed and pointed to one side referring as it to her side. Does that mean she was sharing a bed with her daughter's widower after her daughter's death? I'm sure they have it wrong.

They also report on Brittany pulling a Michael Jackson and releasing new material posthumously. In a scene in a new film called "Abandoned" she is shown being carried on a stretcher.

Erykah Badu fined for stripping at the site of JFK's assasination

Erykah Badu has been fined $500 for her recreation of the JFK assassination in Dallas Texas. Her controversial music video shows her stripping naked and then falling to the ground as if she were shot at the site of John F. Kennedy’s 1963 assassination.

Speaking about the music video Badu told The Dallas Morning News that the video was "a protest" and about "liberating yourself."

Whatever about her artistic display, getting your gear off in a public place is illegal after all! Police pointed out that Badu had broken the law and was charged with disorderly conduct.

Staying on the right side of the law the singer paid her fine on Friday. A city spokesperson said that she will be on probation for six months. So my advice is keep your clothes on woman!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's keep a love nest in L.A.

It has been revealed the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are keeping their heads down in a luxury house near Stone Canyon Resevoir, in an exclusive gated neighborhood in Bel Air, Los Angeles.

The secret pair were said to be spellbound by the waterside house as they vacation there before beginning shooting of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn", part one and two.

According to reports in the Daily Mail the pair flew into L.A. on Tuesday and drove directly to the house in Pattinson's classic Chevy Nova. The house boasts of a master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling window and panoramic views of the city.

The secretive duo are looking forward to a rest as their schedules have been so busy. Stewart has just finished filming the movie based on Jack Kerouac's novel, "On the Road". While Pattinson is finished up filming "Water for Elephants" in Louisiana before travelling to Montreal for a week to visit Stewart.

They will begin filming the last chapters in the series of film adaptations of the Vampire books. "Breaking Dawn" part one and two will be filmed side by side. The first film will be released on November 18 2011 while the second part will not be released until the same time 2012.

David Bowie collaborating with Lady Gaga rumors a hoax

David Bowie's official website has confirmed the rumors, that the rock legend would be collaborating with Lady Gaga, are a "hoax".

In the past Lady Gaga has spoken about her admiration for the iconic rock star, David Bowie, but last week a Gaga fansite reported that she would be working with him in the near future on her upcoming album.

Bowie's website statement read "When this tall story first surfaced a few days ago it was denied as a hoax in an update to the same article, and we thought that would be the end of it. I guess some folk see what they want to see though.

"The rumor that David Bowie has been working with Lady Gaga seems to have taken off…The hoax was started by some bright spark or other with the above forgery ... However, in a nutshell, the suggestion that David Bowie is producing and participating in the production of Lady Gaga's next album is untrue and a hoax."

Gaga has managed to keep a tight lid on news about her upcoming album. However in an interview with i-D magazine she said "The new album is my absolute greatest work I've ever done, and I'm so excited about it ... The message, the melodies, the direction, the meaning, what it will mean to my fans and what it will mean to me in my own life — it's utter liberation. I'm on the quest to create the anthem for my generation for the next decade, so that's what I've done."

Lindsay Lohan makes a $1 million deal on post-jail interview

Lindsay Lohan has made a deal with OK! Magazine for her first post-jail interview. The magazine is set to give the troubled starlet $1 million for spilling all on her 13-day prison stay and whatever time she spends in rehab.

It seems that Lohan's physical and psychological health are taking a backseat as Lohan is set to heal her financial problems with this interview and other appearances around the country. According to the Hollywood Reporter Lohan can still quote a high price for personal appearances.

They said that appearances in New York and Los Angeles could fetch $25,000 to $100,000, while Las Vegas could earn her up to $500,000. Last week her mother said that the star plans to travel to New York when she is released from rehab.

Lohan has not has not stared in film, that has been in movie theatres, since 2007.

In 2007 Paris Hilton was also offered $1 million by NBC for her first post-jail interview but the deal fell through. She appeared on the Larry King show supposedly for free.

Teen idols Jonas brothers say Bono is their hero

The Jonas brothers want to be just like Bono and last as long in the pop world.

The teen idols are playing Jones Beach, Long Island this weekend and Joe Jonas made clear to local paper Newsday who the band's hero is.

"I think the one we look up to the most is probably Bono, And since he's pretty much been doing this for a very long time and been very successful we listen to what he has to say,

Joe Jonas stated he had recently met with the Irish superstar.

"He just told me 'continue to do what you are doing.' And you know,.we're seeing that it is working.

"And I just think that when you are just true to who you are and your music and you're honest with your lyrics, your age group will grow up with you but also a new set of ears will listen."

Dr. Frank Ryan, surgeon to Heidi Montag, has died

The celebrity plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan has died in a car crash near Malibu, California.
The 50-year-old surgeon's 1995 Jeep Wrangler when off the side of the Pacific Coast Highway and landed on its roof according to the California Highway Patrol.

Apart from Heidi Montag, star of "The Hills", Ryan's other celebrity patients included musician Vince Neil, actor Lorenzo Lamas, reality stars Lisa Gastineau and Adrianne Curry and several models and beauty queens.

Montag once underwent ten procedures in one day with Ryan. She tweeted in response to his death. She said "I am devastated…He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."

Modeling agent, Janice Dickson, was a close friend of Ryan's. Her publicist said she was "deeply, deeply anguished" having heard about the accident. "She is stunned and wants the world to know what a genius Dr. Ryan was…Her love goes out to his mother and the rest of the family."

Neil Patrick Harris expecting twins through surrogate mother

Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka have joined a long list of celebrities in using surrogate mothers to produce their off-springs.

Harris and Burtka announced over the weekend that they are expecting twins later this year.

Harris broke the news over Twitter saying, "So get this David and I are expecting twins this fall. We're super excited/nervous/thrilled."

The star of 'How I Met Your Mother' is not alone.

U2’s Bono took up smoking while recuperating

While recovering from an emergency back operation Bono spent the two months kicking back, writing songs, eating ice cream and taking up smoking again.

Two weeks ago Bono played his first gig since he was rushed into the hospital in a near paralyzed state. He’s now back on form and playing with the rest of U2 on the European leg of the ‘360 Tour’.

In an interview he said “One of the things you can do when you're lying down like that is to write, so I wrote. Lying motionless I also had time to think about the future, because I never think about the past.

"The other thing I did was to eat ice cream and I also started smoking again."

At a recent concert in Italy he spoke about his operation and said “That's in the past now and I'm very much fit for the future.

"This band is like a family. I am the prodigal son. I would like to thank my brothers for their patience."

Bono was told to give up smoking in the 1990s when a doctor warned him that it was the cause of a serious sinus infection. He started again in 2003 and gave up shortly afterwards.

Mel Gibson crashes his 2008 Maserati

Ouch! Bad things are meant to come in threes right? So far Mel is up to about six by my count.

As if his summer couldn’t get any worse, the loud mouth actor crashed his 2008 Maserati Quattroporte on Sunday evening while driving along the particularly rocky hillside of Malibu Canyon Road. Luckily he was not hurt but the car had to be towed from the scene.

The California Highway Patrol said that they did not suspect Mel of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. However, according to some sources, Mel was asked if he was talking on the phone while driving.

Mel’s Masserati, with a value of $125,000 is a large, fast four-door and not the usual stereotypical loud, flashy sports car you might expect. The Wall Street Journal said that the front fender and front wheel had been damaged. They estimated that to repair damages such as these to a car of this caliber could cost Mel the equivalent of a brand new Ford Fiesta or Kia Soul.

Lindsay Lohan's dad says Lindsay should leave Hollywood

Lindsay Lohan's estranged father Michael now thinks that the only way his troubled daughter will get her life back on track is by quitting Hollywood, hopefully for good.

He is adamant the young actress will quickly slip back into her destructive old habits if she goes back to work in Hollywood, insisting she has to step out of the spotlight in order to find the inner peace she needs to rebuild her life.

'Dina says that Lindsay is coming back to New York after rehab. The funny part is, every time Lindsay comes back to New York, she doesn't stay at the house like she should. She stays in hotels in the city, and that gets her in trouble. She needs a clean house to get away from all the people. She can't go to the same places she used to go to. She can't do the same things and go out and party at night. She's gotta change her life completely,' Lohan told Access Hollywood.

'Lindsay might come back to New York for a little while, but she'll get back out there Los Angeles again. She needs to get away from everything. I'd like to see Lindsay step out of Hollywood. I'd like to see her get her life back, then decide what she wants to do,' he added.

Did the fact that his wedding day anniversary Megan McAllister was set for August 10 prove the final straw for Craigslist killer Philip Markoff?

Megan McAllister finally broke off with Markoff after visiting him in prison on April 29th.

It was around that time that Markoff first went on suicide watch after marks were discovered on his neck, believed to be caused by trying to hang himself with bootlaces.

When he was first accused Irish American Megan had resolutely defended him, saying he was innocent and blaming the tabloid press for their coverage of the case.

However, friends say she gradually began to see the truth as more details came out about his double life.

For a very smart woman like McAllister, a medical student, to discover she was being so totally duped must have been a devastating shock.

When she visited Markoff in prison in Boston she was not wearing the engagement ring he had given her--a clear sign she had come there to break up with him finally.

Their wedding date was set for August 10 2009 and Markoff finally took his own life around the time of the first anniversary .

For his distraught former fiancee it will surely be seen as a blessing in the future.

She has received closure on what has been an utter nightmare passage in her life, one she certainly never deserved.

Dina Lohan believes that Lindsay does not need rehab

According to Dina Lohan, her daughter, Lindsay is fine. Being interviewed over the weekend she said that there is absolutely nothing wrong with her daughter.

Lindsay is currently serving a sentence in rehab. This is the fourth time she has visited rehab and has been sent to prison over various drug and alcohol charges.

While being interviewed by Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” show she seemed to be confused about the facts. Dina insisted that her daughter had only been in rehab twice when in fact she has been to rehab four times.

Lauer said “Clearly, rehab doesn't work”. Dina responded saying “When you say "works" or "not works", I don't know where you're getting this from.”

As the interview went on she became more defensive. See seemed to want to blame everyone but herself for her daughter’s situation. Dina has been spotted out partying with Lindsay on a number of occasions.

Dina said that Lindsay’s troubles are the fault of paparazzi, the ‘hardball’ judge, the tabloids, the city of L.A, the Internet and her ex-husbands but not Lindsay’s or hers.

Her ex-husband does not feel the same way. He has said “Dina and I caused this and we need to fix it…Professionals have recommended that Linds needs family therapy with us, but Dina won't do it.'

She says that Lindsay will be out of rehab soon. She also seemed to say that letting Lindsay get into trouble was part of her grand plan.

“As a parent you have to let them go a little bit. To live and fail and survive. Without failure, there's no success. Lauer also asked Dina is she thought her daughter would survive. She said “I'm not going down that road. I don't foresee ‘her dying young.'”
