The 'Lego House' singer - who is currently touring the US promoting his debut album '+' - has admitted he is looking for love but is struggling in his efforts because he is too shy and "awkward" to approach women.
He said: "I am the worst with women, I'm just awkward - I can't start up conversations."

The ginger-haired musician added his success in the music business hasn't increased his confidence with the opposite sex.

Ed - who won two BRIT Awards this year - added to The Sun newspaper: "I should be rock and roll and should be doing everything that moves - but it's all good."

The 21-year-old songwriter has been performing non-stop during his tour of America, which has included concerts in New York, Boston and Philadelphia, but still took time out to thank his fans for their support on his twitter account.

He tweeted: "Can't sign tonight guys, really need to get my head down, been working like a madman. Hope you all enjoyed the gig. Lots of love x (sic)"

Fans can also see Ed tour the UK from October.

Anne Hathaway is to show off her vocal skills by singing songs from "Cabaret"

The 'Love and Other Drugs' actress is to perform for one night only at New York's The Public Theater to celebrate the revitalization of the iconic venue.

A spokesperson from The Public have announced that the brunette beauty will sing several of the musical's songs, including 'Willkommen', 'Maybe This Time', 'Perfectly Marvelous' and the classic 'Cabaret'.
This won't be the first time that Anne, 29, has put her voice to the test as she can be seen singing in the upcoming film adaptation of 'Les Miserables' playing Fantine.

Her co-star in the film Eddie Redmayne - who plays young rebel-in-love as Marius Pontmercy - praised Anne's performance during shooting, recently saying: "When I saw the trailer with Anne singing with this extraordinary fragility, that song I thought I knew pretty well ... suddenly, I listened to the lyrics for the first time, afresh."

Anne's one-night only performance of 'Cabaret' songs takes place on October 24.

Niall Horan and One Direction still see themselves as newcomers in the music industry

The global chart-toppers - who earned £100 million in the two years since they competed on 'The X Factor' - have reportedly declined an offer by boss Simon Cowell to mentor contestants on the show because they are too inexperienced.

Newly single Louis Tomlinson told The Sun newspaper: "We don't feel like we are in a position to be giving strong advice."

The group's mentor Simon is said to have been hoping the boy band would guest star in an episode of the UK reality TV series and conduct a master class with the current group of wannabe stars to help boost the show's ratings.

The 'One Thing' singers - who are nominated for two 'MTV Europe Music Awards' - recently appeared on both the Australian and US versions of the hit series, where they were a huge hit.

Harry Styles said the group really enjoyed being guest judges on the Australian 'X Factor', saying the experience was "really cool and fun".

But 'One Direction', who are set to release their second album 'Take Me Home' on November 12, are said to have ruled out a similar appearance during the current series of the British show on ITV1.

Amanda Bynes pleads not guilty to two counts of hit-and-run

The ‘Easy A’ actress was charged with both counts relating to two separate incidents – where she allegedly ran into a  car and fled in the scene - in April and August, earlier this month.

While the Los Angeles City Attorney was initially reluctant to press charges relating to the first incident, they changed their mind after the second.

If she is convicted on both counts, she could face up to 12 months in jail

According to TMZ.com, she is due back in court on October 19, and she is also facing one driving under the influence (DUI) charge and two other charges of driving on a suspended license.

Amanda – who claims to have retired from acting - has displayed erratic behaviour in recent months, and has been dropped by her agent, publicist and entertainment lawyer after they found they had been unable to get in touch with her for four weeks.

She also worried shop staff when she locked herself in a changing room for close to two hours and repeatedly made banging noises every 10 minutes.

The 'Expendables 2' star accepts he caused great pain to his now estranged wife Maria Shriver and their four children with his illicit romance, which led to Mildred Beana giving birth to his son Joseph 14 years ago.

He said in an episode of '60 Minutes' airing on Sunday: "I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids."
The former Governor of California is currently promoting his autobiography, 'Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story' and though he says Maria hasn't read the tell-all tome, she wishes him the best.

He said: "I think that Maria is, you know, wishing me well in everything I do."

Mildred - who worked for Arnold's family for 20 years - had listed her ex-husband's name on Joseph's birth certificate and has previously said she only knew for certain who the boy's father was when he began to look increasingly like the actor.

The affair was only revealed in May last year, days after Arnold and Maria announced they were separating after 25 years of marriage.

Suri Cruise is learning Mandarin at private Avenues school in NYC

The six-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has reportedly been signed up to the Chinese language course at her new school Avenues in New York City and could even travel to one of the institute’s planned overseas branches when she gets older.

A source told RadarOnline: “Suri is going to be learning Mandarin. She is in the programme for the Lower School which focuses on Chinese, and this is a great foundation for her.”

Suri recently started attending the $40,000-a-year private school which has a rooftop playground, along with a main gym that includes full-size basketball and volleyball court.

It is part of a series of "world schools" and will also have branches in China, India, Africa and Europe, along with other US cities.

Katie and Suri made a fresh start New York following the actress’ split from Tom and the school is just a few blocks from their apartment in Chelsea.

Tom's attorney Bert Fields recently revealed the 'Rock of Ages' star was calling Suri twice a day as he wants to play a big part in her life even though he is busy shooting a movie in England while she is in New York with her mother.

He said: "Tom has been in England shooting a film. He calls Suri every day, sometimes twice a day.

"He loves Suri and is a constant presence in her life.  As in the past, when he's shooting in a foreign country, he has to rely on daily phone calls."

'Liz & Dick' star Lindsay Lohan says she relates to screen icon Elizabeth Taylor

The 26-year-old actress plays the late screen icon in upcoming TV movie 'Liz & Dick' and she claims she found it easy to play the character because she can identify with the high-profile lifestyle Elizabeth led because she is used to dealing with the "stress" of being constantly scrutinized.

"You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life the way you feel you need to live it."

Grant Bowler - who plays Richard Burton, who was married to Elizabeth twice, in the film - can also see the similarities between his co-star and the late Hollywood legend, who died in March 2011.

The pop heartthrobs did not know where to look when a group of excited girls ran after their car, lifted up their tops and pressed their naked flesh up against the windows.

Explaining the incident on Alan Carr’s ‘Chatty Man’ TV show, Louis Tomlinson said: “The Swedish fans were pressing their breasts up against the car window.”

Niall Horan added: “It was quite embarrassing.”

“Kristen was absolutely steadfast that she only engaged in several make-out sessions with Rupert but never slept with him. Rob didn’t believe her in the beginning but as time wore on he accepted her explanation. Kristen has given Rob passwords to her voicemail and e-mail account to prove she has nothing to hide and will do anything to get his trust back.”

The pair – who met on the set of ‘The Twilight Saga’ movies – are now believed to have reconciled.
A source said earlier this week: “They are living together and have reconciled.”

"It has four bedrooms and as many bathrooms, as well as a few huge, open-plan living areas. It’s the perfect party pad.”

A friend of the ‘That’s What Makes You Beautiful’ singer has revealed his new home is extremely private and the party is expected to be a wild affair.

She said: “The band are really going to let their hair down, Harry-style(s).

“The house has a gorgeous garden and high walls, so Harry won’t have fans watching his every move.
"He’s already been spending lots of time in the area and becoming a regular in the local pubs.”

Amanda’s recent troubles – which included having her car impounded and being charged with driving on a suspended licence – have been compared to the fall from grace of Dina’s daughter Lindsay and she says Amanda's parents need to be there to help the 26-year-old former child star through her ongoing drama.

Speaking on ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said: "You know, I'm a mother, and I feel that that's for her mother to speak about, and not me, because people have spoken for my child and myself, so I really feel that's for her parents to discuss and Amanda herself.

“[But] just be around. … It's hard when your daughter's not, you know, over 18, and you want to let them go … and they want to, you know, feel like they're in control of themselves. So it's a very strategic place for a parent to be, but she'll be OK."

Dina is no stranger to controversy and was recently accused of being drunk during an interview on TV show ‘Dr Phil’, something which she strongly disputes.

She said: "I was absolutely not under, intoxicated, or on any kind of medication. I was extremely upset."

Look at your muscles popping out!' It was the perfect storm. Bodybuilding got me into the movies, then movies got me into political office - because politics is all about name recognition. So it all goes back to bodybuilding. Without that I wouldn't have achieved any of the things that happened after."

The 'Terminator' star also revealed he always knew he wanted to leave Austria for Hollywood so had to work hard on his body to achieve his dream.

He added to Empire magazine: "I'd felt from the time I was 10 years old that I was destined for something bigger than staying in Austria, even though at the time I didn't quite know what I was going to be. I remember buying this magazine and reading about a young kid in a factory town who trained hard, became Mr. Universe and went to America. Then all of a sudden he was offered 'Hercules' movies!

"I thought, 'Well, this is exactly what I would like to do.' He trained five hours a day, so I started training five hours a day. Whatever he did, I did. I basically had the blueprint for what I had always dreamed about."

The 'Enchanted' star has a two-year-old daughter, Aviana, with her fiance, actor-and-artist Darren Le Gallo, and although it can be stressful she loves both roles.

Amy - who met Darren in acting class in 2001 - told the USA Today newspaper: "I love that balance. I had a talk show blitz the other day.

"I had three hours down, so I raced home, changed out of my nice clothes and we walked to Central Park (in New York City) and did the merry-go-round because I promised her we'd do it before we went back - and she remembers. And then we walked back."
The 38-year-old redhead also revealed Aviana is a very strong-willed child and she doesn't even like to be comforted by her mother when she is upset.

Recalling a flight when Aviana wouldn't stop sobbing, she said: "It's funny. She doesn't like to be held when she's upset. She's very independent. This one woman kept going, 'Why doesn't she just pick her up?' It's like, 'Do you know what would happen if I tried to pick my child up right now?' She would lose her mind. I probably shouldn't worry about it. I love my child."

With a busy year ahead promoting three very different films - 'The Master', 'In Trouble with the Curve' and new Superman movie 'Man of Steel' - Amy sees each project as an exciting adventure and enjoys seeing the final product on the big screen.

She explained: "It's like having a 'this is your life' moment. This is what I spent the last two and a half years doing.

‘Happy Days’ star Erin Moran destitute after being kicked out of her trailer park home

Erin Moran, famous for her role as younger sister Joanie Cunningham on the 70s sitcom ‘Happy Days,’ has found her life far from glamorous after her acting career has all but disappeared.

The Daily Mail reports that the former actress has been kicked out of a trailer she was sharing with her husband and his mother for her “hard partying” ways. Moran has since been seen parking lot and motel hopping.

A source said, “Erin was going out to bars and coming home at all hours of the night, sometimes with her rowdy bar friends, and Steve's mom just couldn't take it anymore.”

Since the wrap of ‘Happy Days’ in the early 80s, Moran went on to film a spin off show with Scott Baio in ‘Joanie Loves Chachi,’ which was cancelled early on.

With her career never bouncing back after ‘Happy Days,’ Moran has only appeared on VH1’s ‘Celebrity Fit Club,’ the 2008 film ‘Not Another B Movie,’ and a few other small guest spots. Otherwise, her acting career has ended.

The haggard and slightly confused looking Moran was spotted wandering around a parking lot in Indiana as recent as two weeks ago. She and her husband Steve Fleischmann are understood to be surviving off of a small payout that she and her other co stars received after suing CBS for a contract breach.

Don Most, Anson Williams, and Marion Ross, plus the estate of Tom Bosley, who died in 2010, filed a $10 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against CBS, which owns the show. Having won, each person received about $65,000.

On Tuesday, rumors were flying on Twitter that Mullingar native Horan had “secretly” tied the knot while in Germany after he reportedly signed a German fan’s marriage license.

No doubt that One Direction’s die-hard fans - nicknamed ‘Directioners’ - were sent into a craze after the rumor spread that the band’s only single member was hitched.

Horan was forced to respond to the wild rumor on his Twitter, @NiallOfficial, on Tuesday: “Hahhaha I was gettin mentions and dm's last night askin me if I was married! Hahahahah heard it all now! People actually believe this stuff” [sic]

Still, admirers of Horan shouldn’t get too excited that the blonde cutie is still very much available. Horan recently told a magazine, “I’d rather go to sleep than find a girl.”

Soccer star Wayne Rooney wants One Direction to play at his son’s third birthday

The Manchester United footballer often sings the group’s song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ to Kai – his child with wife Coleen – and has begged One Direction to show up at the bash, which will be held at his Cheshire home on November 2, to perform it in person for the youngster .

The Overlook Bar is known for their drawings on the wall done by famous comic artists."

Another tourist who spotted them at the bar added: "Mila had her arms around Ashton's shoulders. They looked like a cute couple."

Mila and Ashton first met 14 years ago when they co-starred in hit sitcom 'That 70s Show', and the pair rekindled their spark after she split from long term love Macaulay Culkin and Ashton and wife Demi Moore ended their marriage.

Things are getting so serious between them that they are said to be considering adopting a dog together.
An insider recently said: "Mila and Ashton have been touring shelters looking for an abandoned dog that needs a loving home.

Lady Gaga recently revealed the reason behind her weight increase was down to her father’s restaurant in New York.

Rory McIlroy is selling his luxury $10 million mansion to move back in with his parents

Irish (British?) golf star Rory McIlroy didn’t win a $10 million FedEx bonus on Sunday in Atlanta, but he’ll eventually be saving a whole lotta cash when he unloads his multi-million dollar estate at home in Moneyreagh, Co. Down.

McIlroy, 23, has listed his 6,000 square foot five bedroom home on the outskirts of Belfast for £2 million, reason being that with his worldwide golf schedule he hardly spends any time there.  When he is home, he added, he’d just as soon stay with his parents.

“I have really enjoyed living here,” McIlroy says on the website advertising the house for sale. “The house has always been busy with friends and family and has suited us on all occasions.”

The house boasts all kinds of amenities, including a gym, tennis court, limestone floors and, last but certainly not least, four golfing greens.

"When I go back home to Northern Ireland, I'll just spend time with my mum and dad. Hopefully they'll have a room for me there," McIlroy said.

The 31-year-old socialite and the 21-year-old Spanish model have taken part in a number of "fun" activities during their jaunt on the island of Maui including ziplining on Monday, and the blonde beauty has fallen in love with the island and its "beautiful" scenery.

In a series of posts on twitter, she wrote: "Another beautiful day in Paradise. I love Maui!

"Having a fun & adventurous day in Maui! I love ziplining, the scenery is is beyond beautiful here!
"So much fun zip lining with @RiverViiperi today. I love having adventures in Maui! (sic)"

River also took to twitter to reveal he is having the "most amazing time" with Paris, but it hasn't all been fun for the Calvin Klein model as he broke his phone after it got soaked in the sea.

He tweeted: "Please note that if you are trying to contact me my phone and i went for a little swim today, and he clearly doesn't know how to swim (sic)"

The couple flew to the sun-drenched island last Saturday  shortly after a recording of Paris telling a friend in the back of a taxi that she thought a lot of gay men "probably have AIDS", and branded them "disgusting" for being promiscuous, was released online last week.

She apologised for insulting gay people in the recording - which took place on September 7 - saying she is sorry "from the bottom" of her heart for her comments.

Onlookers at the afterparty for Natalie Portman's choreographer husband Benjamin Millepied's ballet ‘Moving Parts’ last Saturday, revealed the star looked happy and relaxed as enjoyed a few drinks.

One source told E! News: "He was there the whole night. He came at 5:30pm and didn't leave until the end of the after party. He just seemed really relaxed and happy. He was drinking beer and puffing on an electronic cigarette."

Robert also attended Emmys’ host Jimmy Kimmel’s bash at Soho House on Sunday (23.09.12) with a male friend.

A partygoer said: “He arrived at about 11pm. Rob was with a male friend and they were both dressed down, Rob in a hat and leather jacket. They hung outside for most of the night…Rob chatted with a few different people throughout the night but was mellow and hung in a smaller group."

It was recently claimed that Robert, 26, has decided to forgive 22-year-old Kristen but they are keeping their relationship under wraps because he is worried about how his fans will react.

The 26-year-old star was formally charged on Friday  with two counts of driving on a suspended licence after two incidents at Burbank Airport in California and while her attorney defended her, Amanda chose to remain in New York where she is launching a fashion range after quitting acting.

A source told E! News: "She has moved to New York indefinitely to start her fashion line.”

The troubled former ‘All That’ star has another hearing scheduled for this Thursday  for two hit-and-run charges but insiders say she has no plans to return for that court appearance either.

Amanda has faced a string of recent troubles including having her car impounded and facing charges of DUI (driving under the influence).

She was also involved in two bizarre episodes last week, locking herself in a store changing room for nearly two hours and refusing to come out and stripping off during a gym class.

The 'Liz & Dick' actress sought medical assistance last Sunday from the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City after complaining she had been suffering from pneumonia for some time, but says she is now on the mend after being treated with antibiotics.

She told the New York Post newspaper on Monday: "I got sick again, but I am all right."
Despite her illness, Lindsay has been working on 'Scary Movie 5' and enjoyed the experience as she got a lot of great advice from her co-star Charlie Sheen.

Speaking at the Size Matters party in Central Park on Saturday evening she said: "I have been really sick with pneumonia but I have been working. I have been shooting 'Scary Movie' with Charlie Sheen. He was really great to work with and gave me some good advice about surviving in this business."

It had previously been reported that Lindsay - who was hospitalised with exhaustion and dehydration in June when filming 'Liz & Dick' - had used her complaint of suffering from "walking pneumonia" to get out of filming 'Scary Movie 5'.

A source said: "Lindsay missed every meeting she had for the film, including script reads and wardrobe meetings.

"Then she missed her flight to Atlanta to shoot the movie. The producers had been getting signs Friday that she was a mess, and would not be fit to work.

"She is under contract - so to get out of it, she had to prove that she was sick. She tried to prove she has walking pneumonia."

Lindsay eventually filmed the role.

Is Liam Neeson entertaining two girlfriends on either side of the Atlantic? Sources point to yes, that he has been seeing 28 year old Katy Schell in New York, while still dating London-based girlfriend, Freya St. Johnston.

The New York Post writes that Neeson first met Schell in March of this year at the premiere of his film ‘Wrath of the Titans.’

“He’d seen her on the red carpet and thought she was beautiful,” says a source, “and he asked to meet her.”

“She met his family,” a source says. “She would stay at his apartment and met Vanessa Redgrave [the mother of Neeson’s late wife, Natasha Richardson] when she came over.”

Reportedly, Neeson introduced Schell to his son on two occasions in New York as well.

However, the same month that Neeson met Schell and reportedly asked her out, he was seen back in London with St. Johnson, and then on vacation with her in St. Tropez.

Now, reps for Neeson are saying that the ‘Schindler’s List’ actor has “never heard of Schell.”

He and Schell reportedly broke it off, with Neeson saying to Schell that he was “‘back with an old friend from London,’ who was staying with him all summer at his house in Millbrook,” a source told Page Six.

“The funny part is that he invited Katy [to his country home] numerous times over the summer, but she never made the trip.”

A source close to Schell said, “Liam was really sweet and respectful about the breakup. Overall, Katy has nothing but nice things to say about him.”

However, an actor close to Neeson said, “They never dated. Maybe they hung out once or twice, but that’s it.”
