The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ star – who plays single mother and prostitute Fantine – is said to be surviving on just two apples a day and a protein shake.

A source said: “Anne is playing a destitute factory worker-come-lady of the night. Unfortunately, she only has 15 to 20 days to lose as much weight as possible – up to a stone-and-a-half (21lbs) – because she’s been filming the scenes showing her fit and healthy, almost slightly chubby.

“It’s not ideal but, as with any high-budget movie, there are strict time constraints.”

However, the insider insists producers of the movie – which also stars Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe – will be keeping a close eye on the 29-year-old actress' health. I don't have a Facebook or Twitter and I won't ever. There's plenty of impostors out there. There's enough Dakota Fannings on Twitter for all of us."

Despite becoming an actress at such a young age, Dakota doesn't consider herself to have been a "child star."

In an interview with Wonderland magazine, she explained: "I've never really felt like a child star. That name always felt really odd to me. "I've just felt like I was an actor at six and seven and, you know, a child who happened to act. But when you turn 18 you're seen as able to do more things and more roles."

And it was during filming for 'I Am Sam' that she first realized she could make a career out of acting.

She said: "For someone who's that young to feel completely at home being filmed playing someone else, that really means that that's where you belong. "So that's how I view that film as a whole - as a moment when I just realized, 'I could do this. I could do this forever.'"

Lindsay Lohan has realized her personal problems were making her career "fall apart"

The troubled actress - who has endured a string of legal problems and stints in rehab in recent years - had her probation for a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction come to an end last week and she admits it has taken her some time to figure out that she needed to correctly address her difficulties in order to move forward.

She said: "It's a tremendous weight I feel has been lifted off my shoulders and I feel really grateful and just happy and ready to move forward. It's been several years and I did what I had to do, it's taken time to realize that but it's a good day."

Asked what made her change her attitude to the sentence, she said: "I think growing up and sitting back and seeing I had worked so hard to be something I wanted to be, which is in this industry, and sitting back and seeing I had let it fall apart, so looking at that and saying, 'OK this is not what I signed up for, wake up.' "

Lindsay also praised Judge Stephanie Sautner for the way she presided over her case - arranging regular hearings with deadlines of how much of her community service she had to complete each time - because the "structure" she was given finally made her adhere to her sentence.

She told website TMZ: "I think also Judge Sautner understood I'm good with the structure, being on set and that sort of thing, it made sense and worked right. It really did make a difference and I thank Judge Sautner for that actually."

Now her sentence is complete, the 'Mean Girls' star is hopeful she can put her career first and stop the spotlight being on her personal life.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that Megan - who is stepmother to Brian's son Kassius, 10 - has just found out she's pregnant.

A source told Star Magazine: "They are incredibly excited. It's still early, so they are only telling close friends and family members.

She was then asked if  will be the last time she ever appears in front of a judge, she replied: "Yes."

Lindsay was then asked if she would miss her lawyer, Shawn Holley, who - as long as she stays out of trouble - she will see for the last time at today's hearing.

She replied: "She's still a good person in my life, She's been there for me."

While Lindsay's probation may be coming to a close, she still stands accused of a hit-and-run by club manager Thaer Kamal, who says she knocked into him with her Porsche and left the scene the scene earlier this month.

Mr. Kamal is said to be demanding at least $100,000 in compensation from the 'Machete' star, but so far the incident is under investigation by police, and no charges have been filed against Lindsay, nor has she been  arrested.

Charlie joked it was a "team effort" that led to him ultimately overcome his drug and alcohol issues, but admitted he didn't have many friends through his troubled time.

When asked if he had bad feelings towards 'Two and a Half Men' and Ashton, he added to the 'Today' show: "A little bit. I gotta work through that. I could probably do it in group on my show. Just not out loud.

"I couldn't have the 'Two and a Half Men' thing be my television legacy. I couldn't have that end on that note. If this is going to be a swansong, then it's got to be a beautiful experience, and, so far, eight days there was more fun than eight years."

Irish actor Liam Cunningham is set to make his debut in the upcoming and much anticipated second season of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones.’ Taking on the role of The Onion Knight Ser Davos Seaworth, Cunningham undergoes portrayals of violence and sexuality in the new season.

On finding out that he was cast for the new season, Cunningham said in an interview with Digital Spy that he felt “Extraordinary!” He noted how he’s “a big fan” and that he watched the debut season on DVD over just two days.

Clearly, ‘Game of Thrones’ is able to effectively lure in the audience. For that, Cunningham has great respect for the writers of the show, who met in Dublin while studying Irish Literature at Trinity. “They don't patronise, they're not shovelling out lowest common denominator, keep-your-retina busy stuff. It's an incredible show for an intelligent audience and it rewards that.”

“But HBO, as I've said, make some of the best television that has ever been made and this is something that people have never seen before and I think it makes good television. It's challenging, it's wonderful, it's complicated,” said Cunningham.

No sex on United States tour rule for Niall Horan and One Direction

One Direction are becoming a massive hit in the United States but I’m afraid you ladies are out of luck. The Irish / UK band have pledged off sex for the duration of their US tour according to reports.

According to reports in the British tabloid, The Sun, the four single lads (Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson) are living like monks – no girlfriends, no sex.

Apparently the boys are none too happy.

Harry, who recently split with “The Xtra Factor” host Caroline Flack is a really annoyed by the restrictions.
A source told the Sun “He's come out of a relationship and wants to enjoy his freedom. But he's having to behave himself and keep the women at arm's length. They are all young lads and they have urges like anyone else their age. And the worst thing is the American girls are literally throwing themselves at them so there is so much temptation in their way."

Niall’s also having a really tough time with thousands of US fans falling big time for his Irish accent.

The source said “He's raging about it - all the lads are. Four of them are single and they've been told to stay that way as it appeals to their American teen fans. Niall is fighting off the women with his Irish accent and good looks so he's having to live like a monk."

The source added: "Niall and the boys are being kept on a really tight leash and it is tough for them. But they are so determined to make it work in the States they'll do whatever they are told.

"Quite simply a sex scandal over there would be the end of the band."

It seems that despite temptations Niall’s sticking to the rules. He told Heat magazine “We've had a few flashers - but we're not encouraging it, or deterring it!”

The 25-year-old actress is said to be expecting her first child with husband Brian Austin Green and the couple are thrilled with the happy news.

A source told America's Star magazine: "They just found out and are incredibly excited."

Megan and Brian had kept the news to just close family and friends something they have found difficult because they are so excited about the baby.

The source added: "It's still early, so they are only telling close friends and family members."

The 'Friends with Kids' star has already had lots of parenting practise as she is stepmother to Brian's nine-year-old son Kassius, his child with actress Vanessa Marcil.

The source said: "Megan has become a great stepmom, and Brian knows she'll be wonderful with the baby. She has really grown in the past couple of years ... her family comes first."

CNN's Piers Morgan welcomes Madonna to twitter by banning her from his show

The CNN host used the ‘Hung Up’ hit maker’s debut on the micro-blogging site on Tuesday to inform her she will never be welcome as a guest on his programme.

He wrote: "Welcome to twitter. You're still banned from my show. Love Piers X."

But the 53-year-old’s manager Guy Oseary, tweeted back, "Really?" along with a letter from Pier’s UK show asking Madonna to appear.

Defending himself, Piers explained: "Madonna has only been banned from my CNN show, not my UK show, which sent that invite. But I'm now banning her from that too.

“Oh, and I'm afraid you're banned from all my shows too @guyoseary- guilt by association, sorry.”
According to TMZ.com, Madonna – who joined twitter for one day only to promote her new album ‘MDNA’ - doesn’t know what sparked the feud. A source said: "She doesn't even know who he is."

Piers has previously revealed the bad feelings stem back to his days as an editor for the Daily Mirror newspaper.

He told Access Hollywood: “Madonna and I, we’ve never really seen eye-to-eye. There was a bread roll throwing incident in London in the mid 90s; there was an incident at a hotel in the south of France [at] the

Cannes Film Festival involving a photographer and a bodyguard; there’s been an incident involving a pub owned by her recently departed husband, Guy Ritchie, where my brother was the manager.

“You know the worst thing Madonna did to me? Madonna’s publicist once said to me, ‘Listen to me, Madonna is not pregnant’, when I was running a newspaper. And I said, ‘Are you sure?’ She said, ‘Listen to me, Piers. Madonna is not pregnant’.

“The next day, they announced [the news] on a rival newspaper’s website. There’s a series of crimes.”

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' hit makers have been on the receiving end of a few overzealous female supporters during their recent trip to the States, but they are quite happy with all the attention.

Niall Horan said: "We've had a few flashers - but we're not encouraging it, or deterring it!

"The craziest thing was supporting US boyband Big Time Rush - all the fans were wearing our T-shirts and holding One Direction banners, too."

Niall also revealed he frightened a cab driver in New York with his celebrations when he found out over the phone that the boy band - which also includes Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - had topped the US charts with their debut album 'Up All Night'.

He added to heat magazine: "We had a few days off, so we weren't in the same place at the same time.

"I was in the back of a cab on my way to buy me and Liam tickets for a New York Knicks basketball game, and my manager called me  up and said, 'It's close, we've got the numbers...' and was holding it back, a bit like a Simon Cowell moment.

"Then he said, 'But you've got Number One,' and I was just screaming down the phone and frightened the life out of the cab driver!

"I had to explain the situation, because he looked at me like, 'Get out of my cab!' But I was shocked and shaking."

Lindsay Lohan is set to guest star in 'Glee'

The troubled actress - who has previously complained about the musical TV series for mocking her stints in rehab - is reportedly in final negotiations to appear on the programme to play herself as one of the celebrity judges in the annual nationals competition, website TVLine reports.

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg has signed on for a stint in the show that is expected to last for three episodes.

The 'Sister Act' star will play Carmen Tibideaux, a professor at New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts (NYADA), the school which graduating students Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) have applied to.

Whoopi's character - who will first appear on US screens on May 1 - is expected to oversee the pair through their auditions.

Although Whoopi is only slated to appear this season, it is possible she may return in the future as Lea and Chris' characters will remain with the show next year, despite graduating from William McKinley High.

Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly said recently: "People are going to graduate, and their story lines will carry on through graduation into Season 4, also keeping the William McKinley High School paradigm intact and building in elements of characters who have graduated.

"It's a very cool way they've figured out how to do that."

'Dark Knight Rises' actress Anne Hathaway's engagement party was "so fun"

The 'Dark Knight Rises' actress and fiance Adam Shulman threw a party in a New York book store to celebrate their impending nuptials - which are expected to take place in October 2013 - last month and delighted guests with the quirky celebration.

Among the personal touches was a banquet of vegan food and decorations including bird-shaped vases filled with Anne's favorite flowers, ranunculus and anemones.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Everything so was fun, just like Annie."

Although pals revealed Anne and Adam have already selected a New York venue for their wedding, they are not planning to reveal where until the last minute.

A source said: "But they're keeping it a secret until right before!"

Anne and Adam - who started dating in 2008 following the actress' split from Raffaello Follieri after he pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud - announced their engagement in November and Anne explained he "ruined" her plans to stay single.

She said: "We hit if off immediately but it took us a pretty long time to get together. He thought that I had a boyfriend and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I'd better keep my distance because I didn't want to be that girl.

Man accused of hacking more than 50 celebritie's emails including Christina Aguilera pleads guilty

A Florida man accused of hacking into the email accounts of more than 50 celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Mila Kunis, has pleaded guilty.

Christopher Chaney, 35, now faces up to 60 years in jail and £1.5million in fines and restitution after entering guilty pleas to unauthorized computer access, wiretapping and other felony charges.

He explained how he clicked on the ‘forgot password’ feature and then correctly answered the stars’ security questions to gain access to their email accounts. He then uploaded a bug which forwarded all incoming mail to him.

As a result, the clerical worker managed to get hold of nude photographs Scarlett took for then-husband Ryan Reynolds, as well as risqué snaps taken by Mila and Christina – all of which were leaked online.

He was finally caught after an 11-month FBI investigation dubbed “Operation Hackerazzi”, but pleaded not guilty in November 2011.

He was remanded in custody at yesterday’s (26.03.12) hearing in Los Angeles and will be sentenced on July 23.

In a statement to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, prosecuting attorney Andre Birotte Jr said the guilty pleas, "shine a bright light on the dark underworld of computer hacking."

He said: "This case demonstrates that everyone, even public figures, should take precautions to shield their personal information from the hackers that inhabit that dark underworld.”

Lindsay Lohan's probation will not be affected by a hit-and-run allegation

The troubled actress is due to make her final court appearance on Thursday and though she has been accused of hitting club manager Thaer Kamal with her Porsche and leaving the scene, the claim will not count against her.

According to gossip website TMZ, a report submitted by the probation service mentions the incident and the fact that it is under investigation by police, but discounts the claim and gives it no weight as charges have not been filed against Lindsay, nor has she been arrested.

The report reads in part: "The probationer [Lindsay] is in compliance with the terms and conditions of probation."

The document also notes that the actress will complete court-ordered counseling sessions and her final stint of community service on Wednesday (28.03.12).

Judge Stephanie Sautner has said that she will terminate the probation - which stems from a 2007 driving under the influence conviction - if Lindsay is still in compliance.

Mr. Kamal is said to be demanding at least $100,000 in compensation from the 'Machete' star.

Lawyer Mark Geragos - working for his club manager - has reportedly contacted Lindsay's legal representative Shawn Holley claiming to have video evidence of the actress striking Thaer before getting out of the driver's side of the car, wobbling and getting into the passenger seat, where the passenger then takes over the wheel.

However, sources who were at the scene at the time have insisted it did not happen.

Thaer also reportedly told people at the scene he was not injured but changed his mind when he heard the troubled star was the one behind the wheel.

Lindsay hit out at the accusation she had "scraped" someone with her car earlier this month on twitter.

She said: "Scrape? This is all a complete lie. I've been at community service. Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn't even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd."

The former 'Beverly Hills 90210' actor and his wife Megan Fox were photographed by paparazzo Delbert Shaw while holidaying at the Four Seasons Resort in Hawaii last December and, according to gossip website TMZ, he alleges they were so incensed that Brian punched him after Megan egged him on.

The lawsuit Mr. Shaw is set to file at Los Angeles County Superior Court today, says that after seeing him taking pictures Megan yelled, "Are you going to let him get away with that?"

He claims Brian then began pummeling him, causing severe injuries before throwing his iPhone into the sea.
Mr. Shaw is suing for unspecified damages.

Megan and Brian tied the knot at the Four Seasons Resort in Hawaii and often holiday there with his nine-year-old son Kassius, from his relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil even though Megan previously revealed Brian is terrified of being attacked by sharks in the water.

She said: "My husband is terrified of sharks but we're going to go diving with dolphins anyway. Sharks don't usually go where there are tons of dolphins so we can do it. I didn't used to be [scared of sharks], but I am now because of him. His fear is so intense, it's smothered me and now I'm afraid."

The 24-year-old ‘We Found Love’ singer – who is believed to have been having a fling with Ashton for the past eight weeks – has apparently asked him to join her in the UK for her shows at Wireless festival in Hyde Park and at Radio 1's Hackney weekend in June and July.

She is said to be so serious about the 34-year-old ‘Two and a Half Men’ star – who separated from wife Demi Moore last November – that she has taken him to meet her brother Rorrey in New York.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Rihanna and Rorrey, who releases music under the name GQ, are close so him meeting Ashton is a big deal.

"Rihanna clearly thinks things between them are serious."

Meanwhile Demi – who recently left rehab after reportedly being treated for addiction and an eating disorder – is now said to want him out of her life for good.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Ashton’s been spotted with numerous women in the past few weeks and it’s really hit Demi hard.

“She feels like he’s rubbing her face in it with all these women and having a female like Rihanna visit his bachelor pad late at night is the final straw for her.

“Now she doesn’t want anything to do with him any more. She’s gutted he’s treated her like this after all they’ve been through.

The 'Dark Knight Rises' actor has four-year-old son Louis with ex-partner Rachel Speed, and he admits he is concerned he is not with his child often enough, but knows he has to be away to secure his financial future.

He said: "I am very much aware of being a Skype father, which is really sad sometimes. But one reason I'm away so often is to secure enough finances, so that in the future I can choose to go away for shorter periods and command enough money to bring my family with me.

"At the moment I'm just doing what I have to do. And my little boy does have consistency because when I'm away he lives with his mother and her husband."

Now, the British actor is away from his homeland so much he considers the US his home.

He added to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "The more regularly I travel to America, the more like home it becomes. New York is a home and Los Angeles is definitely a home.

"The only thing is that every three years I have to get my visa renewed in order to work here. And because I was such a very naughty boy, I have to go back to the American Embassy every time and I apologize for things I did when I was 12."

She said: "I struggled with my own image as a sexual person. That ended with a film, 'The Fabulous Baker Boys' in 1989, by which time I was 31.

"Even two years before that, I would not have been able to play the part of the sexually appealing Susie Diamond. She was dynamic and unapologetic and I was able to put on those clothes and play the part. I think, because of the way I looked, I had stayed away from buying anything sexy or overtly sexual.

"It was a turning point for me, because I could understand why men would find her sexy. I wish I'd been more like her. Before that, I would walk around looking like a bag lady!"

However, the 'Dark Shadows' star explained becoming a mother to daughter Claudia Rose, 18, and son John Henry, 17, was the biggest "turning point" of her life because it has been the most rewarding thing she has done with her life.

Michelle added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "The biggest turning point in my life was becoming a mother. If you had told me when I was 18 that I could survive on three hours' sleep a night, I'd have never believed it. You just cope.

"I would not choose a show-business career for my children. I would say, 'Be a doctor, or something else.' The value of a good education has never left me."

Although the One Direction singer is enjoying huge success in America - with the group's album 'Up All Night' recently reaching the number one spot in the US billboard charts - he has been texting his mother up to five times a day because he is so homesick.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Harry has been badly missing home. Not a day goes by without him texting his mum up to five times.

"It's been a struggle adapting to the enormous success the boys are having over the pond, as well as getting used to living in hotel rooms constantly. He misses home."

In particular, keen amateur chef Harry, 18, has missed meal times with his family.
The source added: "He especially misses cooking for his family. Mexican food is his specialty. Being in the kitchen is his main way of relaxing and escaping stress and he's started getting withdrawals on the road."

Harry famously dated 32-year-old TV presenter Caroline Flack earlier this year and pals say older women love him because he's a big kid at heart.

Giggs was in Dublin this week for the VIP Style Awards and a Late Late Show appearance on Friday. On visiting Ireland’s capital city, Giggs said “I haven't had much time on this visit but hopefully I'll be back.”

Giggs’ personal life came under public scrutiny after her 8 year affair with her brother-in-law Ryan Giggs came to light last May.

Fans of Robert Pattinson will get to see a little more of the 25-year-old actor in 'Cosmopolis.'

The 'Twilight' star, known for his good guy roles, goes nude as bad boy Eric Parker in the upcoming film.

In the newly-released trailer, Pattinson can be seen lying on his back as a  naked woman points a gun onto his chest, reports the Daily Mail. The character, who also relieves himself in his limo, is a huge departure from the nice-guy roles Pattinson has taken on before.

The film is based on Don DeLillo's novel of the same name.

‘Twilight’ mega-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have made it to the three-year mark in their relationship, and to celebrate it, Stewart bought her man a sentimental, though pricey, gift. Stewart gave her love Pattinson an $80,000 piano for their anniversary!

The movie star couple’s anniversary is later this month, and clearly Stewart wanted to get Pattinson a big surprise. What better choice than a piano, nevermind a staggeringly expensive one?

"She blew $80,000," muses an insider about Stewart’s motives, "knowing that he'd love it."

“Robert's been playing the piano his whole life," explains an inside source, "and [he] admits it's the perfect escape for him when the showbiz world, paparazzi and fans get too much. Playing the piano is Rob's therapy when he needs to be alone, to think, to get emotional and creative. He's really musical and loves to sing as well."

Knowing that Pattinson had always wanted a Steinway piano, Stewart opted for that classy model for her man.

Keeping with the theme, Stewart reportedly gave her beau three vintage classical guitars for Christmas knowing that her man used to play as a child.

No word yet on what Pattinson got Stewart for the big three-year mark, but we’d imagine it’s something good!

Hope Carson blogging for Gather speculates that with a gift like this, rumors about Pattinson and Stewart being a purely manufactured couple to help boost popularity should be squashed.

The conservative reporter Jason Mattera has been forced to pull an online video of an interview with a Bono impersonator.

Mattera is seen on the video conducting an ambush interview with the man who appears to be a Bono impersonator.

The clip was posted at conservative sites such as Breitbart.com and Glenn Beck’s The Blaze but was pulled after it became obvious that Mattera was not actually talking to the U2 frontman.

Rolling Stone reports that self-proclaimed bad boy reporter Mattera is currently promoting his new book ‘Hollywood Hypocrites’.

The Oscar-winning actress was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2003 but didn't make the news public and says one of the reason was because she had signed up to star in a movie alongside the late Brittany Murphy.

She told interviewer Anderson Cooper: "I was advised to [do so]. I was contracted to go into a movie at that time, 'Little Black Book' with Brittany Murphy, who I miss very much. My doctors at the time, they had to get insurance approval and all of that so I was very quiet about it and had to go back to work right away."

Kathy, 63, says she also wanted to go through the experience on her own despite having a supportive network of family and friends.

She said: "Nobody else really knows what you're going through except another cancer patient. Even though your family's supportive and surrounds you, I just got to the point where I would go to chemo by myself and just really go through it on my own."

However, the 'Misery' star - who successful beat the disease - says she would do things differently if it were to happen again.

She added: "I admire people who have been open, like Melissa Etheridge and women I see walking around facing it without wigs and all of that stuff. I think I'd be more courageous next time."

Oprah Winfrey hires Maria Shriver on OWN the very week Rosie O’Donnell’s show is canned

On the very week that Oprah Winfrey dropped Rosie O’Donnell’s chat show from her network OWN there are reports that she may recruit the former First Lady of California and Kennedy woman, Maria Shriver.

According to RadarOnline.com Winfrey is hoping her good friend Shriver will come on board with OWN for autumn. Winfrey is also hoping that Shriver’s presence will boost the ratings on her failing network.

When “The Rosie Show” was conceived O’Donnell said it should be filmed in New York but Oprah insisted it stay in Chicago. As the ratings continued to be poor Winfrey decided to axe the show, as well as laying off 30 staffers.

The source said “Oprah knows she needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat, literally.

“She has been in discussions with Maria for a very long time about doing a news/special interest driven show for OWN. However, Oprah has ramped up the pressure in the past several weeks.”

However there are also reports that Shriver’s not entirely convinced yet. The insider said “Maria definitely wants to get back to work, but she has to make sure that it's the right project. With her son Patrick about to graduate from high school in the next few months, she will have only one other child, Christopher, living at home with her.

Oprah is quite the actress, and Maria was just silent, and Oprah eventually burst out laughing, and said, 'ha, I had you, didn't I? I would never ask you to do a reality show, but if that shouldn't stop you from volunteering to do it.”

They added “Maria has been assured that any project she would do for OWN would be filmed in Los Angeles, or a location that was convenient to her. Oprah is cognizant of the fact that Maria needs to be close to Los Angeles for her son.”
