Colin Farrell thinks there’s a double standard for women when it comes to bad behavior

Jeremy Piven (left) and Colin Farrell.
Jeremy Piven (left) and Colin Farrell.
Colin Farrell thinks Lindsay Lohan and other unhinged female celebs have been unfairly picked on because they’re women.

The formerly wild Farrell has his priorities straight these days – his two young sons are first and foremost – but he has sympathy for the likes of Lohan, whose troubles have been well documented.

“There’s an unbelievable hypocrisy going on here,” Farrell told The Irish Times last week.

“No matter how bad I was in years gone by, there was always someone who was prepared to cheer me on: ‘That Colin Farrell is a real lad, sure he’s hilarious.’ Nobody cheers for women going a bit mad.

Even if they’re doing something that 200 other people are doing in a nightclub down the road. It’s a total double standard.”

Farrell, who has a supporting role in the Tom Hanks film Saving Mr. Banks which debuts just before Christmas, says he has no time for a relationship in his life given that he focuses most of his energy on sons James, 10, and Henry, four.  But that doesn’t mean he’s completely celibate, as he, um, delicately explained.

“It’s intense making time for the boys,” he says. “I mean I still get the odd random roll or leg-over. But I don’t even know where I’d go to meet somebody.”

And he’s not interested in dating a fellow star.

“An actor and an actress together? Ah here. It works for some people. But Jaysus. You end up with four people in the relationship: two actors and two mirrors. You know what I mean?”
Indeed!

Jamie Dornan will be great in “Fifty Shades of Gray” says Charlie Hunnam

Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan will do just fine in one of the most high-profile roles out there, that of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the wildly successful “mommy porn” novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Who says so? None other than Charlie Hunnam, the actor originally set to play the sexed-up Grey until he dropped out of the project in October.

“I’m sure he’ll do a great job,” Hunnam, best known as the star of the popular FX series Sons of Anarchy, told TMZ.

“I don’t really know his work. But I know [director Sam Taylor-Johnson] is amazing. She has fantastic taste so I’m sure he’ll do a great job.”

Dornan posed for a recent Entertainment Weekly photo shoot with his Grey co-star Dakota Johnson, and said he’s not one bit phased with all the increased attention he’s received since signing on for the part.

“It’s happening, but not in an unmanageable way at the moment,” Dornan told the magazine of the paparazzi intrusion. “I’ve been around it before and it’s ugly, but I’m glad I’m 31 and not 21, and married. I feel very settled. I’m not running in and out of clubs at 5 a.m. anymore.”

Dornan’s wife, British actress Amelia Warner, is due to give birth any time now to the couple’s first child. She’ll do so in Vancouver, where Grey filming will begin next month.

Due to casting changes and what not, the film’s release date was pushed back from next summer to February 13, 2015.

Amy Adams takes credit for her kiss with "cute" Jennifer Lawrence in 'American Hustle'

The cast "American Hustle"
The cast "American Hustle"

The talented actresses play feuding wives in the new 70s crime drama - which also stars Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper - and Amy has revealed it was her idea to plant a forceful kiss on her Oscar-winning co-star following a violent argument in one particular scene.

Speaking at a Q&A following a screening of the film, she said: "I don't take credit for a lot of things, but that was my idea. I don't know why ... maybe I just wanted to kiss Jennifer? She's just so cute."

The disco era film sees Amy and her co-stars clad in colorful '70s garb such as flared pants and shiny shirts, but the 39-year-old star admits her character's plunging necklines didn't go down well with her three-year-old daughter Aviana, whom she shares with fiancé Darren Le Gallo.

She laughed: "My daughter is three and a half. She looked at the poster and said, 'Why do you show your boobs?' "

The 'Man of Steel' star will hopefully earn better reviews for her smooching skills than Bradley, 38, did in the last movie he made with stunning Jennifer.

The 23-year-old actress, who reunites with Bradley and 'Silver Linings Playbook' director David O'Russell on 'American Hustle,' previously branded her hunky co-star a "wet kisser."

Bradley decried: "After the second take she said, 'You're a wet kisser'. You don't want to hear that. It was not a compliment!"

Megan Fox's second pregnancy has been "a lot easier"

Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green

The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' star is set to have her second baby with husband Brian Austin Green soon and says she's still so busy with their 14-month-old son, Noah, she's not thinking too much about the pains of expecting.

She told E! news: "For the most part, I would say it's been a lot easier. I think that could have a lot to do with the fact that I already have a baby, so I'm so distracted taking care of him, that I don't really have time to sit and lament on the fact that I'm pregnant or indulge my pregnancy."

Former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star Brian recently admitted he has "no idea" how he and Megan will manage with two babies, as well as his 11-year-old son Kassius from a previous relationship.

Speaking of the pregnancy, he  said: "I do whatever she asks and say 'yes' no matter what it may be! She's doing great. She did great the first time around, but I wouldn't wish the experience on anybody! I couldn't do it!

"I have to say, we honestly have no idea [how we'll cope] and we discuss it daily and think, 'How are we going to do this?' I think we'll just see when it happens. People do it all the time."

The 54-year-old actor was one of the big winners at the annual TV awards ceremony - which celebrates shows created outside of the United States - as he accepted a prize for his starring role in BBC crime drama 'Accused.'

Sean played cross-dressing teacher Simon in the second series of the drama, which was created by acclaimed TV writer Jimmy McGovern.

Elsewhere, blond beauty Sheridan Smith was less successful at the ceremony, losing out on a Best Actress prize for her role in ITV period drama 'Mrs. Biggs.'

The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' helmer is behind hit shows such as smash hit drama 'Lost ,' 'Alias' and 'Fringe.'

J.J. was presented his award by 'Star Trek' actor Zachary Quinto and joked that his TV executive father, Gerald W. Abrams, must have pressured International Emmy president Bruce Paisner - a long time pal of his dad - into giving him the nod.

Paris Hilton claims she never made money from her sex tape

Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton

The 32-year-old hotel heiress was just 21 when her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon filmed them getting intimate and then leaked the footage after they split.

The X-rated footage was later released as an adult DVD entitled '1 Night in Paris' by Red Light District, which the star signed off in 2004.

However, Paris is adamant her bank account didn't receive a boost from the tape.

When approached by TMZ at LAX Airport, she said: "I never made a dollar, not one.

"I make enough money in nice ways, my fragrance makes enough, I don't need to worry about that."
The revelation comes as the star continues to battle Slovenian website ParisHiltonPornVideos.com which is profiting from the movie - which is now owned by Vivid.

She added: "I don't like people using my name to make money, especially in such a gross way, I had no idea [about the site] until I read about it on TMZ."

Although Paris says she never cashed in on the film, her 'co-star' and 'producer' Rick reported $10 million he made off the X-rated home movie to the IRS after its first year of release.

In 2011, Paris told talk show host Piers Morgan that her notorious tape was one of her biggest regrets.

She said the footage was "the most embarrassing, humiliating thing that has ever happened to me in my life."

Paris, who has been dating boyfriend River Viiperi since September 2012, added that it was something she could "never erase."

The boy band - which includes Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan - joined the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker at Beacher's Madhouse in Los Angeles after appearing at the American Music Awards.

Miley - who reached the milestone age on November 23 - hired dwarfs to recreate her iconic twerking performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, she had a mini-Miley for the guests to have fun with and a naked marzipan model of herself on her birthday cake with cannabis leaves covering her modesty.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Miley rented out the entire club and hired out a team of party planners.

"She asked One Direction along and they arrived after the AMAs. It was full-on madness, with mini-Miley, dancing pandas, twerking ladies doing the splits and Miley inspired cocktails.

"Miley is friends with club owner Jeff Beach and basically anything she wanted on the right, she got."

Guests also included Calvin Harris, Kelly Osbourne, Amber Rose and her husband Wiz Khalifa, Tyler and The Creator.

After the bash Calvin publicly thanked 1D's Liam from saving hit from being hit by a "flying" dwarf.
The DJ tweeted: "Big thank you to @Real_Liam_Payne for saving me from getting KO'd by a flying 'person of unusually short stature' tonight (sic)"

One Direction are planing a wild stag night for Zayn Malik

The 'Story Of My Life' hitmakers are hoping to give the 20-year-old star - who is engaged to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards - a night to remember which begins with a planned kidnap and involves guns, strippers and monkey costumes.

Liam Payne told the Metro newspaper: "We should just spring it on him one night. All of us pick him up. We could kidnap him, put a bag on his head and make it really real.

"And then he'll get there and then it will just be strippers and stuff. We can all dress up in monkey and clown masks. Real guns and real strippers."

Louis Tomlinson added: "Maybe like gangstas. And we'll get real guns for it."

Harry Styles is hoping there will be multiple parties before the big day.

The curly-haired hunk explained: "We might just throw multiple stag dos."

Zayn admits he has no idea what is being planned but is sure it will be a good laugh whatever the boys - also including Niall Horan - come up with.

He added: "We were talking about my stag do the other day actually. I haven't got any plans made yet but I'm sure it's going to be a fun one."

Liam Payne thinks Niall Horan is a bigger flirt than Harry Styles

One Direction flirty boys

The One Direction heart throb thinks his two fellow stars are the smoothest talkers with the ladies, and suggested the Irish singer is the "dark horse" of the group.

Asked by E! News who the biggest flirt is, he responded: "Harry Styles. Or actually maybe Niall Horan, sometimes.

"He's a bit of a dark horse. You don't expect it but then you see it and you're like, 'oh, OK.' "
The 'Story of My Life' hitmaker also dished the dirt on Louis Tomlinson, claiming struggles to make it anywhere on time.

He said: "Zayn [Malik] and Louis, lately, but Zayn has always never been a good timekeeper.

"But it's one of those things when you go into something and you're open that you're late all the time...it's expected. But when I'm late, it's a big deal. I get told off for it and stuff."

Not only is Louis always late, he's also "100 per cent" the messiest of the group, letting their tour bus get cluttered when they're on the road.

Liam added: "Louis, 100 percent. If we're on the tour bus, we usually have a back lounge, and the back lounge is just full of his clothes and shoes, just random stuff everywhere.

"He's so messy, I can't live like that. I have to know where everything is."

The 20-year-old heartthrob has confirmed he is still single, but admitted he finds it difficult to find love while being a member of One Direction as he wants his future girlfriend to be an ordinary girl who isn't fazed by his success.

He told E! News: "You have to find the one who ...  just sees you as a normal person, which is exactly what I am, and just like you for who you are and not because I'm in One Direction."

The 'Story Of My Life' hitmakers caused a stir when they were greeted by a mob of paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport during which Niall was knocked to the ground by photographers while a fan was accidentally hit in the face by Zayn Malik as a result of the chaos.

Speaking of the incident Niall acknowledged that the paparazzi can be "quite aggressive" when the band visit the US.

He explained: "I wasn't expecting it ... there was loads of paps -50, 60 paps - and the fans were behind them. They start pushing each other, which meant we got pushed. Then someone pushed me and dragged me to the floor, and then it was all a bit crazy and Zayn was being dragged around."

Niall's fellow band mates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne managed to escape unscathed, and the group were quickly whisked away in black SUVs before the incident could escalate.

The 'Lego House' singer and the 'Friends' star have been drinking together and the 22-year-old says they've become such good friends she lets him stay at her luxury beach house.

Ed posted a photograph on his Instagram with Courteney - famous for her role as Monica - to encourage his fans to vote for her to win Favorite Cable TV actress at the People's Choice Awards.

And in the supportive message, the 'Small Bump' hit maker added: "She lets me live in her beach house."

The post read: "My friend Courteney is nominated for a People Choice Award for favorite cable tv actress.

"She's never won one before and she lets me live in her beach house, so how's about we all vote for her and win her the damn thang eh? Safe."

Fans were shocked to see the two together and one commented: "You've gotta love Ed Sheeran that little bit more now. Awwh :)"

The 49-year-old actress, who divorced David Arquette in May this year after more than 10 years of marriage, has been nominated for the 2014 award for her role as Jules Cobb in the American sitcom 'Cougar Town', which has also been given a nod in the Favorite Cable TV Comedy category.

Emma Thompson is over her marriage breakup with Kenneth Branagh

Double Oscar winner Emma Thompson has no hard feelings towards actress Helena Bonham Carter, who allegedly was the reason why Thompson’s marriage to Kenneth Branagh went kaput back in the 1990s.

Thompson told the Sunday Times of London that she’s well over the heartbreak at this stage, and even called HBC a “wonderful woman.”

“All blood under the bridge. You can’t hold on to anything like that. I just think… pfft,” Thompson said.

“It’s pointless. I haven’t got the energy for it. Helena and I made our peace years and years ago.”

Thompson wed the Belfast-born actor/director Branagh in 1989, but the marriage ended in 1995 amid claims that Branagh hooked up with Bonham Carter a year earlier.

That relationship fizzled in 1999.  Branagh went on to marry art director Lindsey Brunnock in 2003, while Bonham Carter has been in a long-term relationship with director Tim Burton.

Thompson survived the heartache just fine too. She remarried and has a teenage daughter.

Harry Styles is banned from "Keeping up with the Kardashians"

The One Direction hunk reportedly struck up a romance with Kendall Jenner earlier this week, but there won't be any reference to the new couple on the reality TV show as Harry's management have forbidden E! network from mentioning him in future episodes.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Whatever happens, if the relationship develops or not, E! have been told that Harry is not to be mentioned on the programme."

The singer - who split with Taylor Swift in January before being linked to model Cara Delevingne - took Kendall, the half-sister of Kim Kardashian, to Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, (20.11.13) before driving her home in his swanky Range Rover.

However, the pair are keen to keep their blossoming romance under wraps as they don't want to go the same way as Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, who split two months after filming their wedding for the popular series.

The source added: "Harry wants to keep things as private as possible and isn't going to become part of the reality series like others in the past who have been linked to the Kardashian-Jenner clan."

The couple reportedly struck up a close friendship when they met at 'The X Factor' USA studio while One Direction recorded their performance for the show.

Hugh Jackman has been treated for skin cancer

'The Wolverine' star posted a photograph of his bandaged nose on Instagram, explaining to fans that he recently had skin cancer removed from his face.

The 45-year-old revealed it was his wife Deborra-Lee Furness who encouraged him to get the "mark" on his nose checked.

He wrote: "Boy, was she right! I had basil cell carcinoma.

"Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

Fans were quite to wish the star a quick recovery, with one posting: "I have had two melanomas removed and had to get lymph nodes checked to make sure it didn't spread. Scary stuff!! Healing thoughts for you!"

Another supportive fan wrote: "Thank God you caught it early."

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, an estimated 2.8 million cases of basil cell carcinoma are diagnosed in the US each year, and it is the most frequently occurring form of all cancers.

Treatment options include removing the tumor, radiation and topical medicine, among others.

Hugh and director James Mangold - who helmed 'The Wolverine' this year - have entered negotiations with Twentieth Century Fox about returning for another installment of the superhero franchise.

Mullingar plans to open a museum to honor One Direction star Niall Horan

The 'Story Of My Life Singer' – who hails from Mullingar in Ireland – is reportedly in "support" of the local tourist attraction which is a bid by councilors to acknowledge the positive light shed on the town since his success with the boy band.

Local councilor Aiden Davitt told The Sun newspaper: "Of course we want to honor one of our leading lights. Niall is always promoting Mullingar around the world and has said it's something he would support, as did his mother Maura."

"Fans come here every day looking for Niall's house – they also go to Tesco looking for his dad Bobby – so it would be great to have somewhere for them to go."

A building for the museum has already been selected within the town, and while it's set to honor all musicians from the area it's likely that Niall will be the main attraction, with his image even being scattered around the town to promote the exhibition.

Mr. Davitt said: "Niall would be the star of the show as our most famous son. We would love to get some of his items to display there for fans, as well as interactive footage of his performances around the town."

The motion for the museum was passed at a recent council meeting and it is set to be open to the public from next summer.

Charlie Sheen has agreed to "co-operate" with Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services

Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen
The 'Anger Management' star - who slammed the organization as "incompetent" after custody of his four-year-old twin sons Bob and Max was awarded to Scott Mueller, the brother of his ex-wife Brooke - feels "frozen out" of the boys' lives now they are no longer in the care of their temporary guardian, his former spouse Denise Richards, and knows he needs to "step up" to change that himself.

A source said: "He has finally recognized that if he wants to spend time with the boys, he'll need to cooperate with child protective services.

"Charlie stood on the sidelines as Denise became the temporary guardian of the boys. That meant that he had visitation almost everyday. Now that Bob and Max are with Brooke's brother Scott, he's been frozen out. He hasn't been able to see them.

"For that to change, Charlie needed to step up and participate."

The outspoken star believes it is important to do what DCFS ask in order to get the level of access to the children that he wants.

The source continued to RadarOnline.com: "He doesn't necessarily want full custody of the boys, but he does wants to spend more time with them.

"Charlie will be a big part of the boys' lives. They are his sons and he wants to do whatever is necessary to make that happen. This is one of the first steps."

Denise renounced her temporary custody of the twins because she felt they were exhibiting "violent behavior" towards her daughters.

The 27-year-old actor is said to be dating Dylan Penn - who is actor Sean Penn's daughter - having moved on from his four-year on/off romance with his 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart - and the 22-year-old blonde beauty was reportedly a huge fan of the vampire films.

An unnamed friend of Dylan's told Radar Online: "She was a massive fan of 'Twilight,' so she will be the envy of all of her friends after landing Edward Cullen."

Looking out for the star, they added: "We are all hoping he is the one for her and does not break her heart, because she is such a lovely and sweet person.

"She is a real beauty, so I would definitely say she is in his league if not even higher."

Despite the rumored relationship, Rob was spotted meeting up with former lover Kristen, 23, but they are not believed to be reuniting.

He dumped the actress in the summer after discovering she had been back in contact with her 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders, with whom she had a brief affair in 2012.

Robert and Dylan were first seen in public together in September at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood and sources say the pair are planning a romantic get-away to Hawaii.

One Direction were involved in a scuffle at Los Angeles International Airport

The British / Irish boyband One Direction
The British / Irish boyband One Direction

The British/Irish boy band were mobbed by a hoard of paparazzi as they touched down at LA X on Tuesday night, resulting in a stampede during which a female fan claims she was accidentally hit in the face by Zayn Malik.

Gabrielle Meredith, who was waiting for a photo opportunity with the 'Story Of My Life' hitmakers, got caught in the crossfire as the newly-engaged singer attempted to forge a way out of the crowd, and was painfully "high fived" in the face by Zayn as he tried to protect her from a cameraman.

She wrote on Twitter: "So I was walking next to Zayn and a pap hit me in the head with a camera and I said ow and Zayn was like "day stawp" and flung his hand out "and [Zayn] hit me and then the pap in the face and other paps said "we got that on camera / I'm okay my hat cushioned the blow of the camera but Zayn hit my actual face (sic)"

The 18-year-old superfan's followers were quick to express their concern, but Gabrielle insisted she was fine and explained there had allegedly also been physical blows between the 20-year-old singer and the paparazzo.

She added: "Someone tried to hold Zayn back when he hit the pap but idk who :/ there were just so many people (sic)".

Meanwhile, Zayn's bandmate Niall Horan was furious after being trampled to the ground in the mob.

The angry Irish star wrote on Twitter: "Just got dragged to the floor by some idiot with a camera! Could have seen the fans as well, but they messed it all up!"

Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne appear to have escaped unscathed, and the band were quickly whisked away in black SUVs before the incident could escalate.

Jon Hamm doesn't "get" Miley Cyrus or One Direction

Jon Hamm as Don Draper in AMC's "Mad Men"

The 'Mad Men' actor, who was the subject of backlash last year when he questioned the popularity of reality TV star Kim Kardashian, admits he isn't up to speed with pop culture phenomenons such as the 'Wrecking Ball' hit maker and concedes he often sounds like a grumpy old man.

He said: "I got s**t on for saying I don't agree with the fact that the Kim Kardashians and Paris Hilton of the world are worthy of attention and people were saying, 'How dare you!' I thought, 'Wow, really? That's a terrible thing to say?' It's ridiculous.

"I'm getting older, I'm slowly morphing into that guy who stands on his lawn and shakes his fist and shouts, 'Get off my lawn!'

"All I can is that I don't get Miley Cyrus, I don't get Katy Perry, I don't get One Direction ... I don't get why that's a thing."

While he isn't interested in the latest youth trends, the 42-year-old former high school teacher feels it is his responsibility to share his wisdom with young people.

He told ShortList magazine: "I was a teacher for a big portion of my life and even though I'm not a father, I have nieces and nephews and friends have kids. A lot of my friends' kids are getting into double digits and turning into little people and it's fascinating. You have a duty as an adult to impart to the next generation. I'm happy to do that."

'Made in Chelsea' star Andy Jordan has branded One Direction hunk Niall Horan a "snake"

Niall Horan

The 24-year-old, who recently split from co-star Louise Thompson, said the 20-year-old pop star knew they were an item when she spent the night at his house.

Andy told Now Magazine: "I'm pretty annoyed with Niall. He sends a car to take my girlfriend back to his place? What am I supposed to do?

"I wonder how many girls he sends that car to. I'd love to ask Niall exactly what happened and why he did it.

"I feel that he's snaked his way into my girlfriend's life."

Andy continued: "I believe he knew we were together. When we won the BAFTA we were photographed together and afterwards he messaged her and said, 'I see you have a boyfriend'.

"I don't know what she said back. And I guess I never will."

But Andy believes 23-year-old Louise may have told the 'Story of my Life' singer that she was single, and she has since admitted she slept with him but claims it wasn't when she was dating Andy.

He said: "I wouldn't be surprised if Louise said we weren't together because everyone I've met who knows Niall says he's a really nice guy."

The couple's eight month romance ended when Andy found out she'd stayed the night at another man's house and the star has never been named on the show.

Andy said: "I pushed her on it and said, 'Why are you lying to me? I heard you've been sleeping with Niall'. She just denied it.

"She admitted she'd gone to his for a house party, but swore nothing had happened.

"Then after about an hour she broke down and confessed she'd slept with him."

Niall previously brushed off the "meeting" and said it caused him to look at who he can trust.

He said: "One meeting turned into a big story, which is ridiculous, so that's the end of that.

"It does make me wary. You struggle with who to trust and who not to trust."

Ronan Keating used therapy and self-help books after he split from Yvonne Connolly

The Boyzone star admits he was in a bad place when he ended his marriage in 2011, following his affair with dancer Francine Cornell, and was haunted by how much he had hurt his family.

He told Closer magazine: "I'm back in a good head space, which is great because it gets scary when you lose it. I don't want to make mistakes like I've made again, so I'm very cautious. But therapy, reading books like 'The Power of Now' and work have really helped me live in the present.

"I'm very comfortable in my skin and that's a nice place to be. When you've made big mistakes [and] then realise, 'What the f**k was I doing?', there is a lot of self-loathing for the hurt you've caused."

The 36-year-old singer is father to 14-year-old Jack, 12-year-old Missy and Ali, eight, who he had with his former spouse and insists the children are their priority.

Ronan added: "The most important thing is that the kids are happy.

That's what we both work at."The singer is currently based in Sydney, Australia, where he is on the judging panel of the Australian version of 'X Factor' and he finds it difficult being away from the kids, who are based in the UK.

Ronan said: "The hardest part is being away from the kids. But they come over during the school holidays and I get back when I can, too. That's kind of how we make it work - plus we Skype chat and text all the time."

Madonna has topped Forbes' list of highest-paid musicians

Madonna is top of the $$$ chart!
Madonna is top of the $$$ chart!

The 55-year-old singer is still the queen of pop according to the magazine, earning $125 million from June 2012 to May 2013 thanks to her sell-out 'MDMA Tour', miles ahead of her nearest rival Lady Gaga, who raked in $80 million.

Rockers Bon Jovi and country singer Toby Keith were next, with Coldplay coming in fifth place.

Despite lackluster sales of her latest album, Madonna made her fortune from fans paying $100 a ticket to see her tour - which grossed $305 million - as well as from merchandise sales, a clothing line, fragrance and investments in companies like Vita Coco.

This comes as little surprise, since Madonna had already been crowned the world's highest-earning celebrity by Forbes in August, with filmmaker Steven Spielberg , author E.L. James, radio personality Howard Stern and 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell rounding out the top five.

However, the magazine estimates Lady Gaga could easily top the highest-paid musicians list next year because her current earnings were affected by her hip injury, which forced her to cut her 'Born This Way Ball' tour short. Had she completed the tour, she could potentially have made $200 million.

Bon Jovi placed a comfortable third with $79 million thanks to their 'Because We Can' tour and sales from concert and online merchandise. Toby Keith and his constant touring earned him $65 million, with Coldplay just behind at $64 million.

The top ten was rounded out by Justin Bieber ($58 million), Taylor Swift ($55 million) and Sir Elton John (54 million), followed by Beyonce and Kenny Chesney, both of whom brought home $53 million.

The 18-year-old has spoken out after claims the former '30 Rock' actor made a homophobic slur against a photographer, which resulted in his talk night American show 'Up Late' being pulled off air for two weeks.

Ireland took to Twitter to support her father and wrote: "It takes a lot of strength for someone to release their anger.

"It takes a lot of strength and SUPPORT for someone to grow and become a better person.
"We all say things we don't mean. We all say things we can't take back."

She added: "For someone who has battled with anger management issues, my dad has grown tremendously. My dad is not a homophobe or a racist."

In a statement, the 55-year-old star apologized for his choice of words, after reportedly calling the paparazzi photographer a "f**" hours after winning a court case against his stalker.

Ireland said although she doesn't support what her father said she respects the fact he was trying to protect his family.

She added: "My point being, what my dad said was WRONG. What my dad felt WASN'T."

In 2007, a voice mail from Alec to his daughter, in which he called her a "rude, thoughtless, little pig", was released to the public and she has since forgiven him for the comment.

Brittany Murphy's new toxicology results suggest she may have been poisoned

Found dead at home in 2009 "8 Mile" actress Brittany Murphy
Found dead at home in 2009 "8 Mile" actress Brittany Murphy

The '8 Mile' actress was found dead at home in 2009 and the Los Angeles Coroner ruled her death was accidental, caused by  pneumonia and "iron deficiency anemia."

Five months later, the 32-year-old star's husband Simon Monjack, 40, also died of pneumonia and anemia.

Brittany's father Angelo Bertolotti wasn't convinced by the coroner's findings and The Huffington Post claims he ordered a new toxicology report after sending samples of his daughter's hair for independent analysis.

Results supposedly showed the presence of 10 heavy metals above the "high" level set by the World Health Organisation.

The types of metals are commonly found in rat poison, pesticides and insecticides.

Angelo reportedly tried to sue the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Coroner's Office, accusing them of "failure to conduct toxicology tests" on specimens of hair and his daughter's death was "incorrectly determined to have been allegedly caused by pneumonia and anemia."

It has been reported the lawsuit was dismissed, but Angelo secured the release of Brittany's hair, blood and tissues for testing and he sent samples of to the Carlson Company in Colorado for independent analysis.

Julia Davis, a screenwriter who worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, began working on a biography of Brittany and is said to have sent an email to The Huffington Post saying she has sent formal requests to authorities "demanding" the deaths be "properly" investigated based on the new findings.

Angelo and the Los Angeles Country Coroner are yet to comment.

The 'Party Girl' band – Harry Judd, 27, Dougie Poynter, 25, Tom Fletcher, 28 and Danny Jones, 27 – have turned to the world conquering boy band for career and style advice.

The boys opened up about their friendship with the One Direction boys – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik – whom they have written songs for in the past and whom they admire for their "genuine" nature.

Dougie told New! magazine: "It's all very natural and they're very genuine. I think that's why they've exploded."

Danny added: "We asked them for advice! How do you do it? How do you look so good?"

The 'All About You' singers find the pressures of pop stardom a difficult way of life, but say they experienced new levels of attention when spending time with the One Direction boys.

Tom said: "It's as difficult as every other job. But I'm sure there's a guy cleaning up a toilet that has a much harder life than we do."

Harry agreed: "We can't complain. But when we've been with One Direction, it's another level for them."

While One Direction has just finished their worldwide "Take Me Home" tour, Mcfly – who recently united with former Busted members Matt Willis and James Bourne to form supergroup McBusted – will embark on a sell-out UK tour next year.

Colin Farrell "freaked out" when an obsessed fan called at his house

The intruder was arrested after trespassing on the 'Total Recall' star, Colin Farrell's property while he was at home in Los Angeles.

The unidentified man walked up to Colin's front door, which led to him calling his assistant, who then called police. The trespasser was taken into custody after officers talked to him, and placed under a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold.

Under Californian law an officer can place a person under this hold if they have "probable cause to believe that the person is, as a result of mental disorder, a danger to others, or to himself or herself, or gravely disabled."

The man is not thought to be a US citizen, and is believed to have traveled to Los Angeles specifically to see the Irish star.

Colin has two sons, James, 10, and Henry, 3, by different women and he is particularly protective of his eldest son, as he suffers from Angelman Syndrome, a rare neuro-genetic disorder that can impair speech, movement and balance.

He has previously said: "Things like walking and talking and eating and feeding himself, all those things that so many of us naturally take for granted because they come so easily, to James, they come somewhat harder. Everything he's achieved in his life has come through the presence and the kind of will that is hard work. He's someone to be inspired by."

It is unclear whether either of Colin's sons were with him at the time he was approached by the intruder.

The One Direction heartthrob, who has dated pop star Taylor Swift and 'X Factor' presenter Caroline Flack, says he will know when he's found 'the one'.

Speaking to UK chat show host Jonathan Ross, he said: "I think you know when you find someone, I guess. I think, just someone who is nice."

Jonathan asked the 19-year-old hunk if it felt awkward seeing ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift and rumored fling Cara Delevingne on the same catwalk at the Victoria's Secret show in New York this week.

But Harry shrugged it off and replied: "I'm friends with them."

During the interview, to be aired tonight (16.11.13), band mates Zayn Malik and Louis Thompson revealed they sometimes cook for their girlfriends, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and Eleanor Calder.

Asked if he does anything romantic for Perrie, 20-year-old Zayn said: "I try to. Just nice things, like cook dinner" and said he doesn't know what will happen in the next three years, when questioned about whether he'd like to become a father soon.

While Louis, 21, admitted he's not very good in the kitchen, saying: "I've only ever cooked one meal, that was pretty nice.

"Chicken wrapped in Parma ham, stuffed with mozzarella. With a big scoop of homemade mash. Winner."

Alec Baldwin says there are "doors you have to slam in people's faces" to succeed

Alec Baldwin

The '30 Rock' star insists a large percentage of his income was being siphoned off to members of his family and this forced him to take on unsuccessful projects however, had he had the strength to prioritize his own needs and wants he would not have been in this position.

He told the guardian newspaper's weekend magazine: "People don't understand this; if you want to have a really good shot at succeeding there are doors you have to slam in people's faces, and say, 'This is my priority and you can't depend on me to help you.' I was never good at that."

Alec acknowledges that it seems "nauseatingly self-serving" that he puts his failed films down to being the "good guy" but insists he needed to make money so took on parts he may not have otherwise considered.

He added: "By the way, I know this sounds nauseatingly self-serving, like what a good guy I am, trying to imply that I tanked my film career so I could be of service to others."

Quoting lines from 'Lawrence Of Arabia', he added: "'The Turks pay me a golden treasure, yet I am poor, because I am a river to my people.' What I realise is, I am a river to my people. And being a river to my people is not all that convenient to your career. The shit I did because I had to go get some short-end money."

The hunky actor enjoys stripping off to make music but makes an effort to be more discreet since his October 1999 arrest at his home in Austin, Texas. He was subsequently fined for disturbing the peace when police discovered him dancing in the nude whilst banging his drums.

Speaking to the new US issue of GQ magazine, Matthew - who has been married to Brazilian model Camila Alves since 2006 and has three children, son Levi and Livingston and daughter Vida with her - said: "Of course I still play the congas naked, I just close the windows."

The 44-year-old actor also spoke about how he didn't understand the public's perception of him - until now.
He mused: "Now I get it: outdoors, shirtless on the beach, does a lot of rom-coms, girlfriend loves him, good looking. It's like he rolls out of bed and shows up and makes it look easy."

Matthew hopes his more recent roles in movies such as 'Magic Mike,' 'Mud' and 'The Paperboy' will change people's perception of him and prove his versatility as an actor.

He explained: "As you get older, you're supposed to get better, there should be ascension."

Matthew has been creating an Oscar buzz with his role as real life AIDS victim Ron Woodroof in his latest movie 'Dallas Buyers Club.'

Speaking of his film the actor claims he didn't take on the role in hope of receiving an Academy Award, but to broaden his career.

He recently said: "There's nothing out there that I am chasing. I want my work to translate. I'm looking for great experiences."

'The Fall' actor - who is replacing Charlie Hunnam for the role of sadomasochistic billionaire Christian Grey - wasn't "shocked" by the raunchy scenes which he will have to tackle with co-star Dakota Johnson - who has been cast as love his love interest, Anastasia Steele - in the adaptation of E.L. James' bestselling trilogy.

He told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "I'm a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I'm not saying we had a playroom, but I'm not shocked [by the sex in the book]. It's essential to tell the story. I can't believe films that don't invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me."

Quizzed on how he felt when he was told he landed the part, he added: "There was a slight fear. But beyond anything else, I was really f**king excited."

Meanwhile Dakota is concerned about her appearance when she strips down for the sex scenes and wants to make sure the camera captures her best angles.

She added: "Obviously, I want to look good naked. I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of f**king feels awesome."

Mariah Carey ‘hated’ being a judge on 'American Idol'

Mariah Carey ‘hated’ being a judge on 'American Idol'
Mariah Carey
The 'Art of Letting Go' hitmaker, who served on the show's judging panel for one season that ended six months ago, alongside Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban, has confessed it was like "going to work every day in hell with Satan."

The 43-year-old star told Angie Martinez during an interview on New York City radio station Hot 97 on Tuesday: "Honestly, I hated it. Here's what it was. I was the first person who signed on...I thought it was going to be a three-person panel. They gave me a nice...monetary moment, and I was just like, 'Okay, Randy Jackson will be there; I've known him forever. He used to play bass for me. Like, this isn't a big deal. This will be nothing.'"

The singer, who frequently spoke about her issues with rapper Nicki in the past, added: "But it wasn't that. It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan."

Mariah, who previously revealed her husband, Nick Cannon, convinced her to join the show, also accused producers of the Fox series of not putting contestants through for "political reasons."

She said: "You know what I loved? I loved the contestants. And some of them that were so good -- and also really good people, you could tell -- it was disappointing when [the judges] would, for political reasons, not put people through."

Mariah is gearing up to release her new album early next year.

She said: "I'm thinking February ... because I like the Valentine's Day things, especially the love songs."

Kings of Leon advise One Direction to confiscate cell phones before partying with girls

One Direction
The rock band have urged the 'Best Song Ever' hitmakers to be extra vigilant when entertaining the opposite sex by taking away their devices so they can't take incriminating photographs.

Drummer Nathan Followill said: "If you're going to have a party in a hotel room, have a box at the door and take the girls' phones - that's what gets kids into trouble these days. Every phone is a camera."

Frontman Caleb Followill has encouraged the boy band - consisting of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - to stick at what they do best, instead of trying to change into a rock band, because they have achieved all their success as a pop group.

He explained: "Don't try to turn into a rock band or anything. You are already there and have your music and your fans, so don't try change what you are."

Nathan was over the moon when he realised heartthrob Harry had started following him on Twitter and admits he gets teenage fans messaging him asking him to set them up with the hunk.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I honestly think I got an extra 20,000 followers when that kid followed me - teenage girls asking me to set them up with him."

Genevieve Sabourin, who is on trial for stalking and harassing the former '30 Rock' star, was charged with being in contempt of court in Manhattan, New York on Wednesday morning, after she repeatedly heckled a doorman from Alec's building and her own lawyer.

The judge ordered that the French-Canadian actress, 41, be jailed for constantly shouting at witnesses during their testimonies after issuing her a warning Tuesday, after she shouted at Alec and accused him of having a "lying disease" when he denied her claims that they had sex after a dinner date in 2010 and also met in 2002, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

Sabourin argued she had a right to speak out in court because she sometimes has trouble understanding English.

During today's proceeding, Sabourin was also accused of threatening to wage a "massive destructive war" against Alec, worse than his bitter custody battle with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, if he didn't pay for her to move to New York to live with him.

The actor's lawyer submitted a series of emails that she allegedly sent him from 2011 to 2012.

One email stated: "You when (sic) on and on, on a massive destructive war with Kim .. and it will never end between you 2. Do you wishes (sic) to establish the same type of relationship with me?"

Alec's wife Hilaria Thomas is expected to testify later this week.

The 'Heart Attack' hitmaker, who sought treatment in rehab for "physical and emotional issues" in October 2010, admits she used to shun the responsibility but now realises it's important to set a good example for her younger fans.

The 21-year-old 'The X Factor' USA judge told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "That was my excuse to do whatever the f**k I wanted and not give a s**t about what other people thought. Then I ended up going through some stuff. I realised I'm never going to escape the fact that I'm in the public eye, so I might as well do the best I can."

The former Disney star credits her fans for helping her get through her toughest moments over the past few years.

She said: "When I was in treatment, I honestly thought my career was over. But when I came out of treatment, I had more supportive fans than ever."

But the brunette beauty supports her close pal, Miley Cyrus, who has been criticised for being a bad role model after a string of controversial performances.

She said: "She's having fun and figuring out who she is, and this is the age when that happens. I think that... she's doing her own thing. Good for her."

Demi is set to release a book of daily affirmations, 'Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year' next week and has also signed a deal to write her memoir.

She said: "I'm battling with internal thoughts on how honest I should be. Yes, I've been very honest, but if people really knew how dark and deep my struggles got -- not just with my eating disorder but with drugs and alcohol -- they'd be really shocked. But I'll most likely end up saying everything. Maybe it'll help other people in the industry who are headed down the wrong path."

Demi Moore enjoys a ‘divorce cleanse’ holiday to India

Demi Moore enjoys a ‘divorce cleanse’ holiday to India
Demi Moore
The 51-year-old actress embarked on a three-day trip to India with her spiritual guru Hargopal Kaur Khalsa last week amid reports she and estranged spouse Ashton Kutcher have finally filed divorce papers.

A source said: "Demi says she's now at peace with the divorce, but she felt she needed to clear her head of any negative energy.

"Demi now insists she is fully cleansed of Ashton and is even ready to welcome Mila into her life."

The 'Margin Call' actress undertook the trip on the recommendation of her friend Russell Brand, who embarked on a similar retreat following the end of his marriage to Katy Perry.

The source said: "Russell said it would help her gain perspective and keep her on track."

However, the trip wasn't easy for Demi - who endured a stint in rehab following her split from Ashton - as it involved being totally silent, and she also attended 'Craving, Desire, and Addiction', a conference hosted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

A source told Grazia magazine said: "It was tough for her. While she's comfortable being alone, it was incredibly challenging not being able to interact.

"Demi continues to seek help for her long-term battle with drug and alcohol addiction and after she split from Ashton she fell back into an addictive trap. She's conscious of not letting the divorce send her back into a dark place."

George Clooney Julianna Margulies
Julianna Margulies, the 47-year-old actress who co-starred with the Oscar-winning actor on 'E.R.', has revealed they are still "good friends" and has hailed George as her "go-to person for advice."

'The Good Wife' star told 'The Late Show With David Letterman' on Monday night: "He is truly one of the most awesome human beings I've ever met. He's smart, he's down-to-earth...He treats everyone with respect, no matter whether you're sweeping the floors or the head of the studio. He's just one of those guys."

The brunette beauty, who has been married to Keith Lieberthal since 2007, added: "He is my go-to person for advice on pretty much anything  - except marriage."

The 52-year-old actor, who has dated a string of beauties including Stacy Keibler, Elisabetta Canalis and Lisa Snowden, recently began romancing Croatian model Monika Jakisic.

A source recently told UsMagazine.com: "She's not his official 'girlfriend' yet, but they've become very close. She has been seeing George almost every night."

The 'Gravity' star, who was married to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993 previously vowed never to walk down the aisle again.

He said: "I was married, so I gave it a shot."

Alec Baldwin denies he had a sexual relationship with his alleged stalker
Alec Baldwin
The former '30 Rock' star took to the stand against Genevieve Sabourin, who is on trial for stalking and harassment, in Manhattan on Tuesday morning, and broke down in tears as he accused the Canadian actress of making his life miserable.

The defendant, 40, repeatedly heckled the 'Rock of Ages' star, 55, during his testimony, according to gossip website TMZ.com, and challenged Alec when he denied her claims that they had sex after a dinner date in 2010 and also met in 2002.

She shouted: "Really?" when he insisted they never had a sexual relationship and accused him of having a "lying disease."

Prosecutors revealed last week that Genevieve, who was arrested outside Alec's home in New York City in April, violating a restraining order, wrote him more than 100 emails in a bid to convince him to get her pregnant, and even told him when she would be ovulating.

The actress's lawyer, Todd Spodek, argued that her actions were the result of her desire to seek closure after her brief "sexual relationship" with Alec "crumbled" in 2010.

He previously said: "No contact and no decency. A complete disregard for Miss Sabourin and her emotions. Miss Sabourin was just looking for closure from a difficult relationship."

Alec's wife, Hilaria Thomas, 29, who welcomed their first child, Carmen, in August, is expected to testify later this week.

Charlie Sheen was approached about a TV show based on his custody battle with Brooke Mueller

Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen

The 'Anger Management' actor has been locked in a bitter feud with his ex-wife for months over who gets to look after their four-year-old twins, Bob and Max, and TV bosses believe the dysfunctional family would make the perfect reality show subjects.

Charlie has been vocal about his feelings toward "Adderall snorting husk" Brooke, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and the "anus-brain" judge who granted the former actress' brother, Scott, temporary custody of their sons last week.

According to TMZ, TV executives have also asked Dr. Charles Sophy, the Medical Director of the DCFS - who has been heavily involved in the custody case – to appear in the prospective programme.
However, Dr. Sophy was "uninterested" in the idea.

TV heads believe the show has great potential as Charlie, Brooke, and Denise Richards – another of Charlie's ex-wives, who had temporary custody of the twins while Brooke was in rehab – all live in the same gated Los Angeles community. The US production team who are hoping to get the project off the ground also haven't given up on the idea of filming the "crazy stuff" that goes on in Charlie's life.

George Clooney loves tricking his co-stars into thinking they've gotten fat

George Clooney
George Clooney

The 'Gravity' actor is known for his practical jokes and says one of his favorite pranks involves sending his actor friends into a panicked dieting frenzy by having their clothes altered so they no longer fit.

He told the New York Post: "I do enjoy whenever an actor's trying to lose weight having the wardrobe people take in their clothes.

"It just makes me laugh, watching them eating, like, a grape the next day. And they do it for weeks. It's good fun."

George was speaking ahead of receiving the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film at the BAFTA Los Angeles Awards over the weekend and warned his friend and 'Ocean's 12' co-star, Julia Roberts - who presented him with the prize - to be careful with her speech as, he will be returning the favor when he hands out awards in the coming 2014 season.

He joked: "I will take her down. She has to walk a little on eggshells with me right now."

George's confession of his wardrobe prank will come as a relief to Matt Damon, as the 'Bourne Identity' star has previously admitted he was unsure whether he had been a victim of his friend's sense of humor.

He previously said: "A couple of years ago I hadn't been working out and I'd got kind of fat. I had to go to a function and when I tried on my suit, it was too tight.

"My immediate thought was that my buddy George Clooney had hired someone to get into my closet and cut down my clothes. I seriously thought that – until my wife said, very gently, 'Do you think it might be that you've put on some weight?'"

The 48-year-old actor was keen to have film producer, Susan – who turned 40 on November 6 – celebrate her milestone in style at luxury resort Cavallo Point near Sausalito, CA, among a number of A-Listers.

Hollywood stars who joined the happy couple included Justin Theroux, Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau and Reese Witherspoon.

A source told E! News: "It was a great weekend for Susan, and Robert went all out to make sure she knows how special she is.

"Around 50 of their closest friends came up for the weekend and stayed at the hotel in historic houses. It was a very relaxing weekend and there was a lot of time for people to catch up."

On Saturday night they partied in the ballroom of the hotel and that was followed by a fireworks display. The celebrations were family-friendly with entertainment provided for children too.

The source added: "There were kids running around everywhere, and the whole weekend catered to families. They had lot of kids' entertainment and the children were included in all of the events, even the nighttime birthday party. The whole group was very tight and very friendly. There was lots of hugging and reminiscing with old friends."

On Sunday morning the group enjoyed brunch before singing happy birthday to Susan before leaving.
The sourced added: "When it was time to go on Sunday, everyone talked about how much fun they had and that it was too short. They wished it could have lasted longer."
