Sandra Bullock says she and George Clooney are "too similar" to have a romantic relationship

The 49-year-old actress stars in the new movie 'Gravity' with her good pal and, although they regularly attend parties together, she insists they have never dated.

She told 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' on Friday: "We go way back, so far back that we're now started to take years off how long it's been. We've known each other for a while . . . I think we're probably the only two that haven't dated in the business.

"I think it's probably because we're a little too similar, in all the disturbing ways."

The Oscar-winning actress previously revealed that her son Louis, three, enjoys "man time" with George and their mutual friend Rande Gerber, who is married to supermodel Cindy Crawford.

She said: "The cute little anecdote is that he went to me and said, 'Where's George and Rande?'

"I said, 'I don't know!' And he said, 'I need them.' So we went and found them, and they had man time.

"And I sort of stood off to the side and waited for them to finish. Then I was allowed to take him back."

Louis, who was adopted in 2010, has formed a close bond with George, and Sandra believes she will always come second if he has to decide between the pair.

She said: "My son thinks he's a very cool dude. If there's a choice between me [and] George and Alfonso [Cuaron, the director], my son will leave me to be with George and these guys.

"He's a boy's boy, so he has to go talk to the men."

One Direction star Harry Styles' sister is hoping to launch a pop career

Gemma and Harry Styles

The One Direction hitmaker's older sibling Gemma is allegedly planning to release an album in the hopes of taking over the charts like her superstar brother.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, the 22-year-old aspiring singer has already recorded a demo, which has been the subject of online speculation amongst 1D fans for months.

The blonde has been inundated with messages from eager Harry fans asking when they can hear her music, but Gemma has so far kept quiet about her pop plans.

Harry previously revealed his sister was very musically inclined and has been giving him advice about what bands to listen to.

He said: "I actually get a lot of music from my sister, who's into all these bands. She's been downloading stuff that I get from her."

The 19-year-old star treated his sibling to an all-expenses-paid holiday in the US earlier this year where she got a taste of fame thanks to access-all-areas passes for One Direction's gigs.

He pulled out all the stops with the lavish trip, which was a present for graduating from Sheffield University in the UK with a First-class degree.

A source recently said: "Gemma loves hanging out with her brother and keeping an eye on him.

Harry is in awe of her because she's so brainy and got a first, plus the highest marks in the year.

"He gets homesick sometimes while on tour, so it's great for him to have her there for a while too."

Michael Lohan slams his estranged daughter's desire to look like Lindsay as ‘sick and stalkerish’

Michael Lohan slams his estranged daughter's desire to look like Lindsay as ‘sick and stalkerish’
Michael Lohan
Ashley Horn - the 18-year-old love child of Michael's fling with Kristi Horn while he was separated from Dina Lohan - spent a whopping $25,000 on plastic surgery to copy her famous half-sister's look, much to Michael's disgust.

He told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l section: "It's nuts and sick and stalkerish. What mother would let her 18-year-old daughter get surgery like that? And [saying] she's hotter than Lindsay? Are you kidding me? Lindsay doesn't need plastic surgery."

Ashley has gone under the knife five times for procedures including a nose job, cheek fillers, jawline surgery and fat injections in order to become a clone of the 27-year-old actress.

Michael explains he cut all contact with the teen and her mother when he realised they were after a slice of the Lohan's fame and fortune.

He ranted: "They wanted to meet the girls [Lindsay and Ali, Michael and Dina's other daughter]. Of course Ashley tells people she's Lindsay's sister. Kristi asks, 'Can we get the girls together in New York?'

"Why not my sons, too? It's just the girls because they're celebs. Now her chances are gone. Lindsay doesn't want to meet her at this point."

The furious star - who appears to have made amends with Lindsay since she checked out of rehab in July - was outraged at their publicity-seeking stunts, including Ashley's new photos showing off her new look In Touch Weekly.

Ashley told the magazine:"My goal was to look like Lindsay in her good days, when she was around 18, 19 years old. I'm hotter than Lindsay! I have no problem saying that."

Paris Hilton thinks Miley Cyrus is ‘sexy’

Paris Hilton thinks Miley Cyrus is ‘sexy’
Paris Hilton
The 32-year-old socialite has praised the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker and insisted the criticism she has come under for her risque image is unfair because she's simply enjoying herself.

She told MTV News: "I think that she's having fun. I think she doesn't worry about what anyone thinks.

"She's having fun. I think she looks sexy. Whatever, she can do what she wants."

Paris is the latest star to come to the 20-year-old singer's defence after her controversial performance - which saw her grinding and twerking routine  on Robin Thicke - at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

Miley's father Billy Ray recently opened up about his daughter's racy appearance at the event, insisting she was only trying to create a "special moment".

He previously said: "I knew that she wanted to do something really special and something everyone would be talking about.

"I knew she'd been putting a lot of practice and thought into what happened in New York."

Meanwhile Miley has claimed her performance was actually edited to make it less outrageous.

She claimed: "I was trying to slap Robin's ass but no one saw it! Believe me! MTV edited so much. They cut almost everything I did. I'm proud of that performance."

Prisoners’star Hugh Jackman following tough fitness regime

Prisoners’star Hugh Jackman following tough fitness regime
Hugh Jackman
The 'Prisoners' star has been following a strict diet - created by former Men's Fitness magazine editor-in-chief David Zinczenko - and it has left him "ripped" but exhausted.

He told Manhattan magazine: "I'm just off the 8-Hour Diet from Dave Zinczenko of Men's Fitness.

"Water dehydration got me that ripped look. I'm so low energy I'm literally sleeping all the time because I'm on a zero-carbs, limited-calories diet."

The 44-year-old actor's fatigue wasn't helped by the fact Hugh - who is married to Deborra-Lee Furness - can't stay still in his sleep, sometimes confusing fellow passengers during flights.

He added: "I'm the busiest sleeper on the planet. My wife says about every 15 seconds I kick, run, turn around, like I'm running a marathon.

"If you're on a plane next to me, you wonder what's going on with that guy."

The star's regime is nothing compared to some of his Hollywood friends - he previously revealed Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson gave him "insane" advice when he was trying to bulk up for 'The Wolverine' after finishing filming 'Les Miserables'.

He had said: "I called my buddy The Rock for tips. I lost weight doing 'Les Mis'.

"He said, 'Here's the deal - three hours in the gym and 6,000 calories, eating very lean. You gotta do that for six months.'

"I did it and let me tell you, The Rock is crazy! He is insane. But we did it and the results are there."

Sean Penn warns ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson not to disrespect his daughter

Robert Pattinson & Dylan Penn
The 'Twilight' star is reportedly dating model Dylan Penn, and her father is said to have "had a chat" with him about their potential romance.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Rob and Dylan get on well and really fancy one another. It's obvious Dylan is smitten.

"But Sean had a chat with Rob recently. Sean knows what it's like to be a young, successful actor and the beautiful women that come with it."

The 27-year-old actor has reportedly been seeing several women lately, and the 'Gangster Squad' star doesn't want to see his daughter hurt if Robert - who split from Kristen Stewart earlier this year because he was unable to get over her fling with married director Rupert Sanders last July - is "playing the field".

The insider added: "He gave his piece about not getting too heavy with his daughter if he's playing the field, as he doesn't want to see her hurt.

"But it's backfired. Rob backed off but Dylan found out and has gone tonto at her dad."

Brian McFadden wants to reunite with Irish boy band Westlife

Brian McFadden wants to reunite with Irish boy band Westlife
Brian McFadden
The 33-year-old singer was part of the boy band's original line-up alongside Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Mark Feehily and Kian Egan,

but quit the group in 2004 leaving them to continue as a four-piece for eight years until they split last year.
Brian hopes to work with the guys in the future and thinks there could be an opportunity when they aren't all so busy with their new careers.

Former bandmate Shane is releasing his first solo album 'You and Me' this November, Nicky has moved into TV and is presenting 'The Hit' alongside Aidan Power, while Mark is currently a coach on talent contest 'The Voice', Ireland.

Talking on UK TV show 'Daybreak', Brian said: "I would definitely love to do something with the guys one day.

He explained: "I don't think it's going to happen for a long time, the boys are all going off on their solo ventures now."

Despite his enthusiasm he insists he would never appear on reality documentary series 'The Big Reunion', which has seen several successful pop bands reform for tours.

The musician - who is married to Irish DJ and reality star Vogue Williams - said: "I wouldn't [reunite], not for 'The Big Reunion' or something like that but I would love to do something with them again of course we used to have so much fun touring and singing together so I would never rule it out."

Brian has released four well-received solo LPs, the most recent being 'The Irish Connection', and he insists he isn't worried about Shane's new music eclipsing his, as he is a fan of his single 'Everything to Me'.

He explained: "I really like what he's doing. I wouldn't say there's competition because obviously we're in different times in our career, this is his first single out and it's all an exciting time for him, it feels like I've been doing it for a long time. We've got different styles as well at the moment and I think he's really creating his own sound."

One Direction star Harry Styles enjoyed a night of gambling at a Australian casino

One Direction star Harry Styles enjoyed a night of gambling at a Australian casino
Harry Styles
The One Direction singer was spotted whiling the night away at the gaming tables at the Pearl Room in Perth and spent most of his time playing chance game roulette.

But Harry's record label bosses have reportedly warned Harry, 19, not to waste too much cash betting after he previously lost an "ugly" amount of money.

An eye witness told the Daily Star newspaper: "One Direction are the biggest band in the world and they certainly earn their time off. But there's having fun on a beach or in a nightclub, and there's high-stakes roulette. It's such an addictive game, and before you know it, you can be up to eyes in debt.

"And although Harry has millions in the bank, it's amazing how quickly it can go. He's his own man and can do whatever he wants, but he's also got his image to protect."

Harry and his bandmates - Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne - were given their stern warning about the perils of gambling when they blew some of their hard earned cash a couple of years ago to celebrate them all turning 18.

Youngest band member, Harry has the lucky number '17black' tattooed on him to celebrate his love of roulette.

Recalling their birthday bets, Niall said in February: "Like most of the stupid things we do, it seemed like it was a good idea at the time.

'We just thought, 'We're 18, this is the first time we've been able to spend a bit of money in weeks because we've been on the road. I won £100, which seemed reasonable, then I stopped.

"But I'll have to say 'no comment' about the others. Let's just say it got a bit ugly and a lot of money was lost. A lot. When our management found out, we got a serious dressing-down about it."

Amanda Bynes could be in psychiatric hold until 2015

Amanda Bynes
The troubled star is currently under the 5150 hold after being arrested for starting a small fire outside a friend's home last month, and her lawyer is said to have requested her trial to be postponed for up to a year and a half - apparently until she is out of care.

According to TMZ, the 27-year-old actress' representative was appearing in a New York City court on Thursday with regards to an earlier case where Amanda allegedly threw a bong out the window of her apartment.

The lawyer requested the case be postponed until Amanda is no longer receiving psychiatric treatment.
The gossip site reports that the case will likely be plea bargained because of weaknesses in the prosecution's case - which means it could be dropped altogether.

A source previously insisted the 'Easy A' star has been making "significant improvements" and is doing all she can to "get better".

The insider had said: "Amanda has made significant improvements, she is doing better than she was.

"There are no drug problems involved, it's all mental. She has deep anger and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), which tripped a psychotic episode... She is very ill, but manageable.

"Amanda genuinely wants to get better and has wanted to get better for some time."

One Direction investigated by Australian police after reportedly speeding through three red traffic lights

The incident is said to have happened during a night out in Perth, and the Western Australia Assistant Commissioner Nick Anticich - who said the British boy band's superstar status didn't matter - has revealed an investigation is underway.

He told Perth Now: "I have been made aware of it, and I've asked our traffic enforcement group to have a look at it. We need to determine the facts and obviously if there's any evidence supporting the allegations.
"It's unacceptable behaviour. It breaches the law and we will deal with every person in the same way.

"By virtue of the fact that they are rock stars is not a license to break any laws or be any different from anyone else. One Direction they may be, but the only direction in relation to this type offending will be to the courts."

The group - made up of Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik - were reportedly driven away in three Mercedes when they landed in a private jet, before attempting to bypass a group of fans.

Police Minister Liza Harvey insisted the investigation makes a point that nobody is above the law, but still gave the 'Best Song Ever' hitmakers a "warm welcome".

She said: "It's a clear message for everyone who uses our roads. We have really strong legislation in this state and that applies to everybody who visits here.

"We extend a warm welcome [to One Direction] but when you're here we expect you to apply the same standards that we apply to our community."

Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal tried to fight each other before shooting 'Prisoners'

Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal
The Hollywood stars - who play Keller Dover (Jackman) and Detective Loki (Gyllenhaal) in the thriller - see their characters go head-to-head when two young girls are kidnapped in broad daylight and to really understand their roles, the pair used to practice bickering with each other.

The story revolves around carpenter Keller who sees his daughter and his neighbours' offspring snatched from a quiet suburb over Thanksgiving.

Detective Loki quickly closes in on creepy Alex Jones (Paul Dano) but then releases him without charge as he fails to build a credible case up against him, which doesn't go down well with Keller, who is convinced Jones is guilty, and takes him prisoner in a bid to find the whereabouts of his child.

Speaking on UK TV show 'Lorraine' Gyllenhaal said: "Hugh and I, we tried to fight all the time, before, months and months."

Jackman quipped: "Even just in the hallway."

Gyllenhaal added: "We just kept trying to get it right."

Ashley Horn
Ashley Horn, who discovered she is the biological daughter of Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, after he took a paternity test last November, has dyed her hair red and recently underwent five procedures, including a nose job, to try to look more like her famous older sibling at the height of her fame.

She told In Touch Weekly magazine: "I've gotten rhinoplasty, a bit of refinement underneath my cheeks and jawline, some fat injected into my chin and some fat injected into my upper cheeks."

She added: "My goal was to look like Lindsay in her good days, when she was around 18, 19 years old."
Ashley, 18, thinks she is more attractive than Lindsay and hopes to launch her own acting career.
She said: 'I'm hotter than Lindsay! I have no problem saying that."

Despite wanting to resemble Lindsay, Ashley insists she is nothing like the actress, who completed 90-days of court-ordered treatment in rehab at the end of July.

She said: "I'm not Lindsay. I wasn't raised in that family. I don't drink, do drugs or party. I like being a responsible person."

A source previously said that Ashley was devastated to learn that Lindsay wants nothing to do with her because Michael was still married to her mother Dina Lohan when he had a fling with Ashley's mom Kristi Horn.

The insider said: "While Ashley can't stand Michael, she thought Lindsay would be kinder to her. She says the Lohans are trash and wants nothing to do with them but the truth is she is really hurt by Lindsay's attitude."

The actress gushed about her spouse, Channing's, "amazing" fatherly instincts and how he takes time out of his own busy acting schedule to cradle four-month-old daughter Everly to sleep while she is filming TV show 'Witches of East End'.

The 32-year-old actress told People.com: "He's in the trailer, he's rocking her to sleep, I'm running back and forth breastfeeding.

"He's been amazing - every chance he gets he's here. He's like, 'I could sit here and be set husband all day long. This is so fun!' "

Jenna - who married Tatum in 2009 - moved to Vancouver, Canada, to begin filming her show only two months after giving birth to Everly, and said the move taught her lots about preparation.

She explained: "We knew it was coming, I knew I had this show coming up, and we just knew, okay, let's get through these four months and prepare for it as much as possible, which I'm learning is the key of motherhood: prepping. It's going good so far."

Meanwhile Jenna claims 'White House Down' actor Channing is already a fan of her show, will hit US screens next month, after getting a sneak preview.

She added: "My husband has seen an episode, he thought it was amazing."

One Direction warn fans to stay away from venomous snake territory
One Direction
The 'One Thing' band's Liam Payne sent a stern warning to girls camping out near the boy band's hotel in Barossa Valley near Adelaide, southern Australia, as they were in an area populated with eastern brown snakes - the second most venomous in the world.

Liam tweeted: "Girls behind the hotel please get out the fields there's a huge sign saying snake habitat it's just not worth it someone's gunna get hurt (sic)"

An hour later the boy band hunk was concerned the girls were not listening to his plea, and repeated his warning.

He added: "Are u not reading what I'm saying it's a SNAKE HABITAT TURN AROUND (sic)"

Eastern brown snakes are known to chase humans and in certain cases their bites have caused death. The area around the resort contains a number of warnings to people not to stray from designated paths because of the dangerous reptiles.

One Direction - completed by Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles - kicked off the Australian leg to their Take Me Home World Tour on September 23 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and will perform in three further locations before touring the rest of the country and heading to neighbouring island of New Zealand.

Dina Lohan, who was pulled over by police on a Long Island highway earlier this month for allegedly driving over the speed limit and officers discovered her blood alcohol level was .20, more than twice the legal limit of .08, appeared in court in New York with her attorney, Mark Heller, and was released without bail because she has no prior convictions.

However, the judge suspended the 50-year-old mother-of-four's driving licence, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

Dina, who was driven away from the hearing in a silver Rolls Royce, is due back in court on October 23.

Lindsay - who completed a 90-day court ordered rehab stay at the Cliffside Malibu treatment centre at the end of July - reportedly started "begging" her mother to seek help for alleged alcohol problems last month.
A source previously claimed: "Lindsay has been worried sick about Dina lately.

"She knows Dina has been out drinking and she sees how much her own treatment helped her, so she has been begging her mother to go and get help."

Amanda Bynes
The 'Easy A' actress, who is currently receiving treatment in a psychiatric hospital in Los Angeles after being placed under an involuntary hold on July 22, failed to appear in court to face Driving Under the Influence (DUI) charges, stemming from her arrest in West Hollywood in April 2012, on Tuesday, and her lawyer, Rich Hutton, told the judge that she does not have the mental capacity to understand the case.

A source told gossip website TMZ.com that after the 27-year-old star's lawyer clarified her current status, the judge transferred the matter to the mental health court, where another judge will conduct a hearing to determine Amanda's mental competency.

It was recently reported that the 'What I Like About You' star could leave her mental health facility in early November and will then be placed in the care of her mother, Lynn Bynes, who secured a temporary conservatorship over her shortly after she was placed in hospital by police, who arrested her after she started a small fire outside a stranger's home.

An insider previously said: "Amanda has made significant improvements, she is doing better than she was.

"There are no drug problems involved, it's all mental. She has deep anger and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), which tripped a psychotic episode... She is very ill, but manageable. Amanda genuinely wants to get better and has wanted to get better for some time."

The actress' PTSD allegedly stems from the pressure she has felt since carving out a successful career in Hollywood as a child star on Nickelodeon.

The actor is said to have moved on after splitting with his 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart earlier this year, and he took a mystery brunette to a birthday bash for actress Shoshana Bush over the weekend.

Speaking to RadarOnline.com, a source said: "Rob and the brunette turned up around midnight. They were cute together.

Although he seems to be doing well now, Robert recently admitted he took up acting as a career to try and improve his chances with the ladies.

He explained: "I was horribly shy. One day in a restaurant, my dad overheard a group of pretty girls talking about their acting classes.

"He told me, 'Sign up, you might meet someone!' I did it ... and it worked pretty well!"

The 'How I Met Your Mother' star was the host of the annual event on Sunday night and - while he enjoyed it - he is relieved he doesn't have to fill the role at any shows "for a long time".

He wrote on his Twitter account: "Emceeing the Emmys was fun, but I'm sure glad it's over. Looking forward to not hosting anything for a long time."

While the 40-year-old actor might be pleased he can take time off from his hosting duties, he later revealed that this year's event drew its "largest audience" in eight years.

He tweeted: "Nice! This year's Emmys had the largest audience since 2005. That makes my bosses very happy. Thanks so much for watching!"

Neil has hosted the event twice now, and had previously admitted he was excited to keep the show "moving smoothly".

Speaking before the ceremony, he said: "It's a fun awards show, because it honors television and all of the people that are there are in their own little bubble worlds.

"I'm just trying to keep the flow alive. My goal isn't to outperform or show off, my job is to make sure things are moving smoothly."

Olivia Newton-John had a Catholic priest exorcise her home after death of contractor

"Grease" star Olivia Newton-John
"Grease" star Olivia Newton-John

The 'Grease' star was rocked by the death of 41-year-old contractor Christopher Pariseletti on her property in August, so hired a Catholic priest to perform the ritual and cleanse it of bad spirits.

Olivia, 64, was joined by her husband, John Easterling, and a pair of friends during the ritual, where prayers were recited and holy water distributed around the home.

Christopher had worked on the property at the Jupiter Inlet Colony, Florida, and had a key. He is thought to have been in financial difficulty with his business facing closure, and had asked for a loan from Olivia to keep his company going. He killed himself with a shotgun by the pool while the property was empty and was found by another builder.

Olivia has been hoping to sell the house, and has had to slash $200,000 from the asking price after the incident.

A real estate agent told the Daily Express newspaper: "Unfortunately there is a grim notoriety to the house and people are put off by that.

"Whoever buys the home will always know that someone blew their brains out in there. It is not the nicest housewarming present."

Rosie O'Donnell had been ready to buy the property, but withdrew her offer in the wake of Christopher's death.

Other stars to have homes in Jupiter Inlet Colony include Kid Rock and Tiger Woods.

The 'Twilight Saga' actor - who played Edward Cullen in the vampire franchise - admits he was "horribly shy" as a youngster, but his father convinced him to train as an actor to overcome his nerves and meet a potential girlfriend.

He said: "I was horribly shy. One day in a restaurant, my dad overheard a group of pretty girls talking about their acting classes.

"He told me, 'Sign up, you might meet someone!' I did it ... and it worked pretty well!"

Despite starring in one of the biggest film franchises of all time, the 27-year-old hunk - who was previously in a relationship with his 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart - admits he still has to fight for the roles he wants and he cannot rely on his reputation.

He added to French magazine Madam Figaro: "I still have to do castings to convince some directors that I'm the man for the job. Even six months ago, I was rejected.

"For 'The Rover', I had to fight to land the role. I hope it'll be a success because I loved filming it.
"I owe a lot to chance. I never thought it would happen, but I never doubted good things would happen."

Pattinson stars in Australian crime drama 'The Rover' with Guy Pearce, Scoot McNairy and Gillian Jones.

The Wanted quizzed Lindsay Lohan about her time in rehab

Lindsay Lohan

The 'Mean Girls' actress - who previously had a fling with band member Max George - recently met up with the British boy band after completing her 90-day court ordered substance abuse programme at the Cliffside Malibu treatment centre in California, and the boys admit they grilled her about the experience.

Max, 25, said: "We called her just after she left to make sure she was OK and she ended up coming to one of our shows in Los Angeles. She's off the booze and doing great."

Bandmate Jay McGuiness, 23, added: "We were curious, asking about what rehab was like. She said there was therapy and lots of talking to screwed-on people and learning about other people's problems."

The 'Walks Like Rihanna' hitmakers - also consisting of Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes - partied with the 27-year-old star in the months leading up to her rehab stint, but they are "happy" to stop the raucous nights out in order to support Lindsay's sobriety.

Jay told heat magazine: "She needed time away from that world. We told her we were proud of her and we thought things were going to turn around for her."

The former Oasis star and his former manager have a new mulch-million pound home, and it is only five minutes away from his estranged wife's house in north London.

The couple are said to be settled in the mansion, spending "nights in" and even babysitting for close friends.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, a source said: "Liam and Debbie are really living it up in the house. They've been ordering pizza and enjoying nights in with mates.

"But they've also been having quiet nights in together - and one of their friends turned up with baby bags so Liam and Debbie could babysit for them."

It was previously reported that the Beady Eye singer and Debbie are "100 per cent together", but they aren't making it public until Liam's divorce proceedings start.

An insider had revealed: "They are 100 per cent together and completely in love. As it stands they are living in limbo, hiding away, unable to properly go public with how they feel.

"But once divorce proceedings begin Debbie will feel more reassured that Liam is genuinely serious about her and they can start planning for their future together.

"With that in mind he is going to sit down with his family in the next few days and tell them just how much he cares about Debbie."

Sir Paul McCartney is lining up Brad Pitt and Sean Penn for his next music video

Paul McCartney

The 71-year-old music icon will release his sixteenth solo album 'New' next month and while the 'Gangster Squad' star has already filmed his cameo, he also wants the 'World War Z' actor for his next promotional clip.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Macca has the biggest pulling power in the industry. He can get anyone he wants because he's such a legend.

"A stellar list of people has been drawn up but Brad and Sean are the big names.

"Sean jumped at the chance to appear alongside Sir Paul and Macca is confident Brad will follow suit. It depends on his film scheduling."

The 'Hey Jude' hitmaker's next video has a "brilliant" concept, but those involved are making sure its details stay a secret for now.

The insider added: "The videos' concept is brilliant but everyone's staying tight-lipped about the project."

And Paul is no stranger to bringing in A-list stars after Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman mimed his lyrics and used sign language for his 'My Valentine' video last year.

Hugh Jackman says his family means more to him than anything else

The 'Prisoners' star - who is married to actress Deborra-Lee Furness - puts his private life above his career and insists fame and fortune aren't important to him.

He told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "Debs has strength and a lot of courage. She is very grounded. Our family matters more than anything - and I mean anything.

"At the Oscars [in 2009], when I put my hand on my heart, that's a sign to Debs out there, a reminder that this is what matters and that all the rest - the awards and the money and the fame - may come and go.

"There'll be time when I'm flavor of the month, times when I'm not. But Debs and my kids are what matters to me."

The couple adopted their children - son Oscar, 13, and eight-year-old daughter Ava - when they discovered they couldn't have their own naturally, and the 44-year-old actor admitted his path to parenthood has been tough.

He added: "[It was] painful ... Trying to have children is wonderful, and when you feel as though that's not going to happen, there's a certain anxiety.

"We'd always planned and hoped to have both adopted children and biological children. But it turned out we didn't have biological children."

Jane Lynch heralded Cory Monteith as a "beautiful soul" at the Emmys

The 'Glee' actress - who plays cheer leading coach Sue Sylvester in the hit musical comedy - led a tribute to her late co-star, who died from heroin overdose in a Canadian hotel in July, saying he was a "wonderful" man whose addiction to drugs led to "senseless destruction".

She said: "Cory was a beautiful soul. He was not perfect, which many of us here tonight can relate to.
His death is a tragic reminder of the rapacious, senseless destruction that is brought on by addiction.

"Tonight we remember Cory for all he was and mourn the loss of all he could have been. To a generation that loved Cory so, please know this gifted and wonderful young man was worthy of your love.

"And if you were lucky enough to know Cory as we did, and witness first hand Cory's goofy, breezy sense of humour, his natural instinct for inclusiveness and his unbridled sense of generosity day in and day out, I promise you have loved him even more."

The planned tribute to Cory - who died aged 31 earlier this year - was criticized just hours before the ceremony by the son of late 'Odd Couple' actor Jack Klugman.

Adam Klugman expressed his unhappiness at the Emmys' decision to pay tribute to the 'Glee' star instead of his father, who died in December last year.

He said: "They're celebrating this self-inflicted tragedy instead of celebrating the life of my father, who won three Emmys.... Cory Monteith never won an Emmy."

Harry Styles ditched his LA Shamrock Parlor tattoo artist

The One Direction hunk has been to see Freddy Negrete at his Shamrock Parlor in Hollywood for several inkings, but the artist was devastated to learn the 19-year-old singer went elsewhere to get a rose etched onto his left arm earlier this month.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Harry said he would be back. I did his first tattoo and a lot of them since, until the big one when he was here with [ex girlfriend] Taylor Swift last year. I don't know why he's gone somewhere else now.

"I didn't do the rose. He didn't even get it here at the parlor. I don't know who did it."

Harry last visited Freddy in December 2012 with then-girlfriend Taylor when he got a large design of a ship on his left arm.

However, Harry looks unlikely to be back at the Shamrock Parlour - also a favorite haunt of soccer star David Beckham - anytime soon, as he has left Los Angeles following a short holiday during a break from the group's current 117-date Take Me Home Tour.

Freddy will be hoping the heartthrob wasn't talking about his designs when he recently admitted he regrets some of his tattoos.

He said: "There are some that my friends have done and some that are just awful.

"I regret this one on my wrist here. I regret this. I mean, these are just crap!"

Will Ferrell took his children onstage at the Emmy awards

The 46-year-old actor stepped out on stage with his three sons, Magnus, nine, Mattias, six, and Axel, three, to present 2013's Best Comedy and Best Drama gong at the event held in Los Angeles and joked he had brought them because he couldn't find a babysitter.

Speaking at the ceremony, he said: "Unfortunately, Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith dropped out at the last second and they called me literally 45 minutes ago. I couldn't find childcare, okay? We had a soccer game, there was a neighbor's birthday party, a nut allergy, I didn't have time to do my hair. It doesn't matter, it's great to be here."

However, 'The Campaign' star appeared to be flustered as he presented the two awards, which concluded the lengthy three-hour show, because his offspring continuously interrupted him while he gave his speech.

At one point, one of his boys asked to use the toilet.

To which Will snapped back: "You have to go to the bathroom?! I asked you backstage if you had to go to the bathroom. So you're just going to have to hold it. This is the Emmys. Don't blow this for me."

The former 'That 70s Show' stars, who first met when the actress was just 14, started dating approximately 20 months ago following Ashton's split from Demi Moore, and their ex co-star Laura Prepon isn't surprised they're now madly in love.

The 33-year-old actress told UsMagazine.com at a Pre-Emmy Party in Beverly Hills, California, on Friday night (20.09.13): "It's incredible! I wasn't surprised either."

Laura insisted the couple's relationship is the real deal and confirmed that the 'Two And A Half Men' star was Mila's first kiss.
She said: "He was. He was."

The 'Orange Is The New Black' star worked with Ashton, 35, and Mila, 30, on the comedy series from 1998 until 2006 and revealed the entire cast is still close.

She said: "They're like my family."

It was recently reported that Ashton and Mila are engaged even though his divorce from Demi has not yet been finalised, and Laura expects an invite if and when they do tie the knot.

She said: "Obviously if people wanted us there, which she would because we're all family -- then of course I would be there. We support each other no matter what."

Tom Cruise threw a birthday party for Suri in Lake Placid

Tom Cruise threw a birthday party for Suri in Lake Placid
Tom & Suri Cruise
The Boots and Birdies centre in Lake Placid, New York - which also offers mini golf - got a call from Tom's representatives asking if they could close it for a "special guest."

The actor, his seven-year-old daughter Suri, some of her friends and their security team then turned up for a day of fun.

Local Scotty Marshall, told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise newspaper, "The kids seemed to have a wonderful time," adding Tom was "friendly but quiet ... videotaping his daughter".

Owner of Boots and Birdies, Terry Nichols, said Tom and Suri were impressed by Lake Placid village, which has a population of just 2,500 and is located in upstate New York.

He said: "They said they liked Lake Placid because of the quietness and lack of paparazzi, and they said they would return."

It seems Suri is back to full health again after breaking her arm in August, leaving her in a cast, which her mother, Tom's ex-wife Katie Holmes, wrote a cheeky message on reading: "No butt smacking with this!"
It has also recently been revealed Tom is planning to buy a home in London so he has a permanent place where Suri can stay with him when he is working in Europe.

A source said: "Tom is happy because he thinks putting down roots in London will allow him to take Suri for longer stretches of time.

"He is just trying to do something nice for Suri. She has been grounded in the United States for a long time and Tom wants to make sure she gets to experience life fully and know other cultures. He doesn't want her to grow up to be a narrow minded person who's afraid to use her passport."

Lindsay Lohan talking with Oprah Winfrey
The troubled starlet has signed a $2 million deal with the talk show host and her OWN network to make an eight-part documentary on her controversial career, but Oprah had to hold showdown talks with the actress after growing concerned she wasn't going to put enough effort into making the program.

She said: "There was a lot of chaos going on. So I went to have a conversation, a real conversation about that, to say to [Lindsay], 'Do you want to do it? Because if you don't want to do it, that's OK. We could just end it. We don't have to do it.'

"She said she wants to do it. So let's get to it."

Oprah was so concerned about Lindsay's show she drove over to see the 27-year-old beauty - who completed 90 days of court-ordered treatment in rehab at the end of July - and warned her she would pull the plug on the upcoming documentary unless she showed more enthusiasm about the project.

Speaking to 'Access Hollywood' in an interview due to air on September 24, she added: "I went to her house just to say, 'What are you doing? Let's get real here.' And ... 'This is what's conflicting about it.' Because it's television and we stand to gain if it does well.

"I said, 'If I get here and Lindsay isn't serious, I will shut this thing down today.' "

Irish star Saoirse Ronan grabbed some girly time with her mother Monica at a Brown Thomas fashion show at the Four Seasons in Dublin on Friday afternoon.  She’ll soon be back on the publicity trail hyping her next movie, How I Live Now, which opens in the U.K. next month and here in November.  Saoirse, 19, plays a young American girl spending a dreamy summer in England that soon turns bad as a 21st century world war breaks out, and she’s got to fight for her life.  She’ll likely be at the Toronto Film Festival this week as the film has been green-lighted for its world premiere at the prestigious annual event.

"Downton Abbey" breakout star Michelle Dockery has a new Irish boyfriend who she’s apparently smitten with.

She’s been seeing John Dineen, a 31-year-old Cork-born financial consultant based in London who she met through her Irish-born Downton castmate Allen Leach.

Dockery, also 31, lives near her new beau in London, and she brought him along to New York where she made the scene last week at Fashion Week and the U.S. Open.

“John is also from Ireland and went to university in both Cork and Dublin before coming to London. He is very private and softly spoken but he has really been taken by Michelle. Allen is an old friend and appears to have played Cupid,” a friend of Dineen’s told the Daily Mail.

Dockery plays Lady Mary in the wildly popular Downton.  She’s no stranger to Irish men in her life, as her father is a native of Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
Prior to starting her relationship with Dineen, Dockery was dating an American architect for three years.

The actor plays a distraught father on a quest to find his kidnapped daughter in crime thriller 'Prisoners', and admitted his wife Deborra-Lee Furness was so disturbed by the on-screen bloodshed, she kicked him out of their marital bed.

Speaking to Jon Stewart on 'The Daily Show', Hugh said: "When I saw the film with my wife Deb, she was holding my hand and it's very tense, it's a gripping thriller.

"She was holding my hand, there were nail marks in my hand and about half way through she took her hand away from mine and ... [questioned] 'Who am I married to? What? Whaaaat?' ... I've been on the couch ever since."

The 44-year-old heartthrob is secretly pleased his wife had such an extreme reaction, since the film was intended to make viewers question their own morals.

He explained: "Well, I think it plays with that idea of like 'Death Wish' or you know like 'Taken' where in the beginning, even with my character you're going along as an audience going, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah.

"It makes you start to feel a little uncomfortable and it really starts to make you think and long after the credits roll, it questions you about, what your attitude - what you'd do in that situation."

The late Cory Monteith
An episode in the next series of the show, 'The Quarterback', will be devoted to the late actor - who was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada, from a heroin and alcohol overdose in July - and his former co-stars are preparing a moving musical tribute in the shape of the 'Rent' showtune.

Meanwhile, E! News is reporting Cory's girlfriend Lea Michele - who also plays his character Finn Hudson's high school sweetheart, Rachel Berry - won't appear until the final act of the special episode, where she will perform a "limited but incredibly powerful" song.

Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Naya Rivera (Santana) will also have solo parts in the tear-jerking tribute.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: "The [episode] is more of a celebration of Cory's life, and the difference he made to us and the fans of the show. As much as it will be [part of the 'Glee' season], it also feels like a stand-alone episode."

Show boss Ryan Murphy recently said they were unlikely to show Finn dying of a drug overdose.
Matthew Morrison - who plays mentor and glee club leader Will Schuester - revealed filming the tribute had helped the cast with the grieving process.

He previously said: "It's incredibly hard. We've mourned Cory, but now we're mourning Finn. So it's kind of like two people in that one person.

"It's incredibly hard and we're staying strong together and I have to say Lea [Michele] has been the most strongest of all of us."

New reports claim the 'Twilight' actress went back to her married lover - who she was caught on camera kissing while she was still in a relationship with Robert Pattinson in July 2012 - once his divorce from Liberty Ross was finalized because she had "real feelings" for him.

According to America's OK! magazine, the 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director and the 23-year-old star's second chance at love was short-lived with Rupert abruptly calling things off after the first time they met up after his divorce.

The 42-year-old filmmaker's ex-wife - with whom he has children Tennyson and Skyla - is reportedly fuming over the revelation and the fact Kristen has never apologized to her.

A source said: "Liberty recently left a message for Kristen, suggesting she might as well sew a big letter 'A' on her chest, since she's never really apologized to the now divorced mum."

Meanwhile, it appears Robert has finally moved on from Kristen after their on-off romance petered out earlier this year.

The British-born star - who has since been linked to Elvis' granddaughter, Riley Keough - has just put the Los Angeles mansion the couple once shared on the market for £4.2million, after initially purchasing it in 2011 for £3.9million.

Singer and tabloid fixture LeAnn Rimes had a blast in Ireland last week – until she landed in an emergency room in Dublin to treat a bad cough.

The star, more famous for wrecking the marriage of her husband Eddie Cibrian (whose ex-wife Brandi Glanville parlayed her “heartbreak” into a role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), stopped in Belfast for a show before heading to Dublin on last Thursday for a planned concert for 1,000 at the Vicar Street venue.

"Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes,” she tweeted before her concert promoters announced that the show was canceled.

LeAnn didn’t mention, though, that she enjoyed a night out in Dublin with her hubby the night before at the Copperface Jacks pub among other places. They hung out with Claudine Keane, wife of Irish soccer star Robbie, who tweeted about the couple, "Had the most amazing singsong with @leannrimes & @EddieCibrian. She's the most incredible singer. What a fun night, thanks guys!! Cxx.”

Leann is on the mend and proceeded to Scotland and England for more concerts last weekend.  She apologized to her Dublin fans and said on her extended Twitter account, “A few things I've learned about Dublin. The fans are loyal and understanding (we'll be back). You have a great otolaryngologist that took fantastic care of my voice and is helping me power on as much as I'm possibly able. The oysters are insanely good!  Thank you Ireland for your love!”

Ed Sheeran
The 22-year-old 'Give Me Love'  singer - who was raised in the UK, where minimum age requirement to drive is 17 - is hoping to learn how to drive properly, after nearly crashing his tour bus when he last got behind the wheel.

He has been quoted saying: "I've only sat in a car seat once and that was in the tour van - and I thought this thing that you pull out was the glove compartment, but it was actually the brake or clutch.

"We were on a hill, so it starts rolling. It was a bad thing, no one else was in the van except me but in the end it was OK."

Meanwhile the star is busy working on his music and planning to release three albums in three years, including a long-awaited follow up to his 2011 debut studio album '+', in 2014 followed by albums in 2015 and 2016.

Despite already having penned 70 tracks, he is yet to decide which direction his next record will take.

He previously said: "I've demoed 70 songs. I'm hoping to release three [albums] in three years. I've got the whole months of October and November to decide what to do."

'Legally Blonde' director Robert Luketic then bought the house and sold it to 'The Rover' actor in 2011.
Robert and Kristen, who had a brief fling with married director Rupert Sanders in July 2012, ended their four-year relationship for good earlier this year after struggling to forgive her.

The couple, whose son Noah will celebrate his first birthday on September 27, are reportedly thrilled after doctors confirmed that the 27-year-old 'This Is 40' star is pregnant with another little boy.

A source told In Touch Weekly magazine that the brunette beauty and the 'Anger Management' actor "found out earlier this month," adding: "They're both really excited!"

Former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star Brian recently admitted he has "no idea" how he and Megan will manage two babies.

He said: "I do whatever she asks for and I say yes no matter what it may be! She's doing great. She did great the first time around, but I wouldn't wish the experience on anybody! I couldn't do it! I couldn't make a baby, it's unbelievable!"

But Brian admitted they are not sure how they will juggle two babies, as well as his 11-year-old son Kassius from previous relationship.

He said: "I have to say, we honestly have no idea and we discuss it daily and think, 'How are we going to do this?' I think we'll just see when it happens. People do it all the time."

He added: "I'm [just] hoping for a healthy baby."

Megan is currently filming 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' and remained tight-lipped about her pregnancy until last month so that it didn't interfere with her work.

The couple first started dating in 2004 and tied the knot in June 2010.

The couple were among the mourners, dressed entirely in white, at a special ceremony for Rabbi Philip Berg, who passed away on Tuesday, and was the founder of the Kabbalah Center in Los Angeles.

The 'Two And A Half Men' star was spotted comforting his former 'That 70s Show' co-star, whom he began dating approximately 20 months ago following his split from Demi Moore.

A source told the MailOnline website that Demi, who is also a follower of Kabbalah, did not attend the funeral and she went to a yoga class in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Ashton first introduced Mila, 30, to the faith when he took her to Rosh Hashanah holiday services at the Kabbalah Centre in New York City in September 2012.

'Ted' star Mila was raised Jewish and Kabbalah is said to have originally developed from its teachings.
She now appears to have fully embraced the religion.

The 35-year-old actor began following the sect in 2003 with Demi.

The former couple turned to a Kabbalah counselling centre in a bid to save their marriage after he cheated on her.

They then decided to split and are currently waiting for their divorce to be finalized.
