Heartthrob and “Twilight” stud, Robert Pattinson has insisted that he remains single.

Pattinson had been romantically involved with Kristin Stewart, his co-star in “The Twilight: Saga” but apparently he’s been mouthing off to the crew of his new film “Water for Elephants” that he’s not involved with anyone.

"Rob is not dating anyone. There are no plans for Kristin Stewart to visit the set and he tells everyone he is single," said a member of the crew.

Of course there’s never a dull moment at the rumor mill and there’s now talk that Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon have amazing chemistry on set.

“Rob worked with Reese seven years ago on 'Vanity Fair'. He had a tiny part and he joked with Reese that of course she didn't remember him from their time together then.

"They joke a lot and Rob has her blushing and laughing all the time. He's very charming. He went on about how she is this beautiful, super-famous Academy Award winner, and Reese loved it. She was flattered and giggling while he teased. It's cute and it makes for a great movie set. Everyone is excited because they fit so well together."

I wonder what Kristin will have to say about all of this.

Lady Gaga demands ‘spirit-seeking sweeps’ of venues

Just when we though her eccentricities couldn’t get any weirder Her Gagaship pulls another one out of the bag.

She has ordered her staff to carry out "spirit-seeking sweeps" of venues on her tour. The “Telephone” star has become convinced that there are evil spirits haunting her, who are we to argue?

The ghost hunting issue arose at London’s O2 arena. The Sunday Mirror reported that Lady Gaga’s staff contacted a real life Ghost-busting firm in London looking to purchase some equipment.

Owner, Dan Webb said “When I took the order for the kit I had no idea who it was for," he said. "But then I checked the listings and saw who was playing the O2. Her aide said the gear had to be robust as they were ¬taking it on the road - so they must be doing this every where Lady GaGa is performing."

That is not to say that all the spirit who will be following Lady Gaga on her world tour will be evil. Quite recently Lady Gaga gave credit to the spirit of her dead aunt for helping her to get over her addiction to cocaine.

Was Megan Fox dumped from “Transformers 3” for being too skinny?

Was sassy sex siren Megan Fox overlooked for the third installment of the "Transformers" movie franchise because she was too thin?

Reports emanating out of England claim so, with the Sun newspaper reporting that director Michael Bay was none too pleased at the weight-drained actress when she turned up on set for the third movie.

"Megan stormed out after a huge row with Michael Bay," source from the film told the Sun.

"He thinks she has lost too much weight and looks too frail. He wanted her to put on some weight and it all kicked off.

"The crew don't think she looks well, let alone the wholesome, curvy star they cast in the first film. She's going for this gaunt, pale image and it just looks unhealthy."

Bay and Fox enjoyed a tumultuous working relationship before this disagreement caused the split, with Fox comparing the director to Adolf Hitler in one outburst.

Fox is now officially off the movie as Bay and his team seek to introduce a love interest for leading man Shia Labeouf in the next film.

"Sex and the City 2" has opened to disappointing box office results.

The much hyped sequel dropped from $13 million in Friday to just $10 million on Saturday.

It appears the bad reviews have finally had an impact

'Shrek Forever After ' now looks certain to win what experts are calling the slowest box office Memorial Day in a decade.

Sex and the Citys' three day gross stands at $32 million and its four day total (it was released on Thursday) has reached only $46.3 million, far less than the $57 million grossed by the original film two years ago.

Meanwhile, Prince of Persia took third place,

Shrek Forever After hit $17 million on Saturday, for a three-day total of $43.3 million. reaching $133 million in 10 days. The final chapter is still more than $50 million behind Shrek the Third and it’s unlikely it will catch up .

'Survival of the Dead' A new Irish zombie film widely panned

A film featuring Irish characters fighting Zombies on an island off the US coast has been widely panned since its release this week.

George Romero's “Survival of the Dead”, is the latest film from the man who who invented the modern zombie.

However, this movie is being slammed.

Filmthreat.com writes:

“Survival” reads like an episode of “Walker, Texas Ranger.” If you don’t know what that means, imagine a script that sounds like it came directly from the mind of George W. Bush.

Two warring families inhabit an island off the coast of Delaware. They speak with Irish brogues that sound like they’re from County Kiluckycharms.

They wear cowboy hats, ride horses and talk in clichés. Their (corned) beef: A difference of opinion regarding how to deal with the zombies that plague the earth. Should the “deadheads” be shot on sight (O’Flynn) or contained until a cure is found (Muldoon)? Muldoon quotes scripture but his pacifist policy doesn’t seem to extend to the living.

O’Flynn isn’t bound by religious doctrine but he too does his share of shooting first and not asking any questions. There appears to be some sort of social or political message here, but whatever it is, it’s so on-the-nose that you can’t even see the damned thing.

Joining the Irishmen on the island is another group of clichés. These are rogue soldiers who appeared briefly in “Diary.” The man in charge is Sarge. With stubble that stands at attention and a cigarette perpetually dangling from his smug mouth, he’s the poor man’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

In his company are a tech savvy kid and a horny Latino who is forever hitting on the tough-talking lesbian. They have a truck full of cash and they behave as though all those Bejamins have relevance in a post-apocalyptic society.

It gets worse. When Romero’s script isn’t being trite or nonsensical, it’s plagiarizing his own early work."

Gerard Butler to star in IRA movie in Dublin

Hollywood heartthrob Gerard Butler will film a new IRA movie in Dublin this summer

Butler is set to play he lead role in the controversial new IRA movie 'Crossmaglen', according to Irish media reports

The film, to be directed by Kevin Connor, tells the story of IRA gunner Dermot McGarvey, who accidentally kills a mother and her two young children on a stakeout to kill British soldiers.

Butler previously filmed the romantic blockbuster PS I Love You in 2006 in Ireland with Oscar winner Hilary Swank and former Friends star Lisa Kudrow.

Tom Cruise mocks Robert Pattinson in new MTV video

Tom Cruise has created a spoof video mocking Robert Pattinson and his greasy unwashed hair in a promo for the MTV Movie Awards in June.

Cruise reprises his role of foul-mouthed movie mogul Les Grossman from 'Tropic Thunder' and offers some advice to Pattinson.

Pattinson says: 'I'm thinking about cleaning up a little bit, maybe get a suit, have a shave, maybe wash my hair.'

Cruise responds

'You're filthy hair made you a star! Your filthy hair made me hundreds of millions of dollars and sent my fat-a**** kid to space camp four times!'

He continues: 'So what kind of shampoo are you going to use?'

In the skit, Cruise reprises the role of Les Grossman, his character in "Tropic Thunder."

Pattinson talks about about cleaning himself up for the gig and Grossman goes mental, slating the star, telling him that his "filthy hair" made him millions of dollars and "sent my fat ass kid to space camp four times."

Pattinson eventually agrees to use dirt as shampoo and the two fist pump.

Alicia Keys pregnant and engaged

It's been a pretty hectic week for the R & B singer Alicia Keys.

Kasseem Dean (Keys real name) announced this week her engagement to semi-long term boyfriend Swizz Beatz and the news that they are expecting their first baby together.

Beatz is a music producer and the pair met on the job.

Keys, 29, and Beatz, 31, are reportedly "very happy" according to a friend who spoke to the People Magazine.

Reps for the power couple - who manage to remain off the radar - say they plan to have a "private" wedding ceremony "later this year."

In March, Keys told U.K. newspaper Daily Record that she is "very interested in starting a family."

She was probably pregnant when she made this statement.

"It is one of the most beautiful experiences to have in this life and I am looking forward to it when it is my time," she said.

Beatz, 31, has two sons -- Kasseem Jr., 3, and Prince Nasir, 9 -- from previous relationships.

Keys has never been married.

The pair have been together since 2008.

Charlie Sheen may serve jail time for domestic violence

TMZ are reporting on Friday that the lawyers for Charlie Sheen have reached an agreement with the prosecutors office on four different plea options to resolve his domestic violence case.

One of the four options included time in jail!

Ouch!

But Charlie does have to choose one.

The options are listed below and appear on TMZ's site today.

OPTION 1: Charlie will plead guilty to a misdemeanor and serve 30 days in Aspen jail. Charlie could enter the plea as early as June 7 in Aspen and would then immediately begin serving his time. With good behavior, that time could be whittled down to 17 days. After he serves his sentence, the case would be over. Charlie would not be placed on probation.

OPTION 2: Charlie would plead guilty to a misdemeanor and receive no jail time, but would be placed on 2 years probation. We're told Charlie's people worry that the actor might slip up and the judge could then throw the book at him and Charlie would end up in jail for a much longer period than 30 days.

OPTION 3: Charlie would receive a "deferred prosecution" -- meaning the case would not go forward but Charlie would agree to various conditions -- including not breaking the law. After a certain period of time -- if Charlie complies with the conditions -- the matter would be expunged from his record.

OPTION 4: Go to trial and fight it. Charlie, we're told, is upset at the Tito Ortiz case ... where the UFC star did not even get prosecuted for allegedly doing a lot worse than Charlie allegedly did.

Robert Pattinson wins National Movie Award in London

Are we surprised that Robert Pattinson won the award for Best Performance at the National Movie Awards in London?

Well if you are you shouldn't be!

Pattinson, who plays the hot vampire Edward Cullen, in the "Twilight" movies is adorned by fans across the world.

Pattinson was up against actors such as Robert Downey, Jr. for Sherlock Holmes, and Sam Worthington for Clash of the Titans.

But the British actor swooped in and stole the prize.

Another notch on his belt.

At this stage it's becoming extremely transparent that the vampire always wins.

However RPatz wasn't there to scoop up the award in person.

He was on location filming his next movie, "Water for Elephants" in California.

He did however prepare a montage of his gratitude.

He thanked his "Twilight" fans, of whom there are millions and all those who voted for him.

Megan Fox's replacement in 'Transformers 3' is... Victoria Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

It was confirmed on Thursday that Megan Fox is to be replaced by Victoria Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the next "Transformers" movie which is due to begin filming in the coming weeks.

Susan Boyle's hometown needs her help

Now that one of their own has hit international stardom, West Lothian in Scotland feels it's time Susan Boyle showed them some love.

Subo got her start in West Lothian and still has a house there.

She visits it quiet frequently.

And now the town are hoping that SuBo will help put them on the map.

Tourism bosses plan to turn SuBo into an "ambassador" for the area as part of a new campaign to promote its "hidden gems".

West Lothian, currently described as a place where "people drive through to get to somewhere else", hopes SuBo will make their town a gem worth visiting.

Anna Lightbody, tourism executive at the organisation, said officials had made contact with Boyle's management.

She said: "It's such a massive opportunity for us. We know that she cares about her local community and we're just hoping it's something she agrees to do.

"Her rise to fame has put West Lothian on the map. It would be crazy not to try and tap into that."

Lightbody said the aim was to create a new website to change people's perceptions of the area.

"It's about changing that mindset that it's just about industry. Often West Lothian is just a place you would drive through to get somewhere else, but everyone that comes here is pleasantly surprised," she said.

Launching the campaign, West Lothian Provost Tom Kerr said: "West Lothian is one of Scotland's hidden gems.

"This area is ideal for family outings, with some of the best parks in the country and a broad range of attractions and exciting events on offer every year.

"We are also home to some of the most beautiful and significant historical sites in the country."

Gwen Stefani is not pregnant

Poor Gwen Stefani has had the world examining recent photographs of her wearing more baggy clothes than usual and holding her handbag over her belly.

A representative has now come out and said categorically that she is not pregnant.

The gorgeous Gwen Stefani, who is, shockingly, turning 41 this year, has talked about having more children but refutes claims that she is pregnant.

Stefani and her lovely hubby, Gavin Rossdale, front man for Bush have two children; Kingston who is almost four and 21-month-old Zuma.

She said “No one could have prepared me for how awesome motherhood is, and how hard,” she said. “I often feel like I’m running out of time. But I don’t want to spread myself so thin that I can’t be good for them. Poor Zuma, he’d be the middle guy.

“I’m not focusing on it right now, but it’s not up to me anyway, you know? These things are miracles, so we’ll see.”

Sarah Jessica Parker misses an Irish fry-up

Star of "Sex and the City 2" Sarah Jessica Parker- who plays Carrie Bradshaw- has admitted she misses an Irish fry for breakfast when she is away from Ireland.

Parker, speaking to the RTE Guide as part of the movies promotional tour for "Sex and the City 2" said she really misses the peace and tranquility Ireland brings to her and her family but she is unsure if she will make it there this year.

She also said she is partial to a cup of Lyons Irish tea.

Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have a home for the past number of years in County Donegal.

They visit it at least once a year sometimes, depending on their schedules, twice.

They love the privacy the people of Donegal allow them while on vacation.

Singer Rihanna setting trends in Ireland

While taking time out to enjoy Ireland Rihanna has been setting some fashion trends as she walks the streets of Dublin.

The singer is reintroducing the bum bag- or fanny pack as it's known in the US- to the folks in Ireland.

It's not something Irish people were ever proud of wearing but guess what it's making a comeback.

Rihanna, 22, was spotted sporting a Dolce and Gabbana leopard print pouch across her waist on Wednesday making Irish girls think twice about the once forbidden fashion accessory.

Fashion experts are now saying the bum bag is back to stay.

Designers including Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton and Gucci have all included them in their Spring/Summer lines.

But all don't agree; Gaia Geddes, executive fashion and jewellery editor of Harper’s Bazaar, said the bum bags are not for everyone.

She told the Daily Telegraph: 'It’s a fun trend, but I don’t think anyone over 25 will buy into it in a big way!'

Rihanna arrived in Dublin last Saturday, when she performed a sell-out concert to fans in Dublin's O2 Arena as part of her The Last Girl On Earth tour.

And she certainly been making the most of her time in the city, spending several thousand euros of designer gear from upmarket department store Brown Thomas earlier in the week.

Colin Farrell enjoys baby gift from Ellen DeGeneres

Irish actor Colin Farrell visited Ellen on her show this week and was over the moon- and in fits of giggles- when she presented him with a baby-grow that was emblazoned with the words: My Daddy f*#@%&$ rocks!”

Farrell, who was on the show with his current girlfriend Alicja Bachleda, to promote their new movie Ondine, had the audience in stitches when he puckered up to get ready for a smooch with Ellen.

He even popped a breath mint and took time to stretch.

After locking lips with the openly gay presenter, who is married to actress Portia de Rossi, Farrell declared: “That’s my annual Ellen snog – now I have to wait another 12 months!

“I was hoping for a bit of tongue this time, I thought the third time might be a charm!”

Farrell, during the interview, said he enjoyed being a dad to seven-month-old son Harry and is no longer a bad boy.

Farrell, 33, said he is not even sure if he really was all that bad!

You say the ‘F word’ in a few interviews and then you become a bad boy. But badness was never really involved, was it?

“Maybe some moderate misbehaviour. But yes, I’ve been clean now for six years. It’s such a weight off my shoulders.”

“I’m just present in life now, I was never present [before]…

“Now I just feel stuff. Whatever life comes with, I feel it… It’s very liberating.”

And the winner of ‘American Idol’ is.... Lee DeWyze!

Lee DeWyze was crowned the season nine winner of “American Idol” on Wednesday night finale show.

He beat off Crystal Bowersocks to win the crown.

Before the winner was announced both Crystal and Lee were given keys to their very own customed decorated Ford cars.

Although it was predicted from last nights performances that Bowersocks would be the 2010 winner but no such luck.

America preferred cutie Lee DeWyze and was voted the winner of season nine "American Idol"

Lee's mother, who is Irish American, will be very proud as will his fans and family across the U.S.

It's on to bigger and better things for Crystal.

Well done Lee.

Siobhan Magnus rocks the ‘American Idol’ stage one last time

It was certainly an emotional one.

Simon’s final night. Lee DeWyze crowned the season nine winner. And a mini-reunion of top 12 contestants which included Siobhan Magnus.

Magnus first came on stage along with the 11 other contestants donned in a sexy school uniform and blowing it to “School’s Out” alongside famous rocker Alice Cooper.

We next saw Magnus take the stage and perform a duet with 18-year-old Aaron Kelly.

Donning a red tightly fitted dress, Magnus yet again wowed the audience with her deep vocals and quirky personality but what was most impressive was when she was joined on stage with the Bee Gee’s to sing their song “How Deep is Your Love.”

A little before half way through the six gals rocked out a triage of songs dressed like rockers and danced around the stage energizing the place.

Magnus of course had one of the strongest voices for such a performance and it was no surprise when they were joined on stage with rocker chick Christina Aguilera.

Magnus’ last performance was a number from Janet Jackson and she was assisted by the rest of the top 12.

Janet Jackson joined them on stage to sing with them.

Although not the winner Magnus sure acted like one and we're sure she will continue on to bigger and better things.

Simon Cowell’s last night on “American Idol” a sad one

As much as the show was about crowing the next “American Idol” it was as much about making a special tribute to English judge Simon Cowell.

A colleague of famous “Simon moments” were screened on the first half of the show and although cringing at some of the things he said to contestants overall Simon enjoyed it.

A special song was sung by comedian Dane Cook based on all the negative comments Simon dished out over the past 10 years.

The song was interrupted by some of the contestants that Simon rejected over the years and while vying for attention some of them began to fight for the microphone forcing the producers to cut to an ad break.

Comedian Ricky Gervais, via satellite, called Simon the “King Maker” who made contestants dreams a reality.. “and you only take 80 percent of their wages,” joked Jervis.

Paula Abdul, who surprised the judges with an appearance on the stage, described her first impressions of Simon Cowell.

“I could not believe what came out of his mouth,” said Paula.

“The best moments were when we were just laughing uncontrollably.”

"He taught me to be very strong,” added Paula.

Seven of the former “American Idol” winners appeared on the stage as a tribute to Simon including a lot of former “Idol” contestants.

Then the inevitable happened, Ryan Seacrest called Simon on stage to say a few words.

“I didn’t think I was going to be this emotional. I genuinely want to say it’s great to have Paula back and I want to thank everyone for the support and fun and everyone's sense of humor on this show,” said Simon emotionally.

“The truth is when everyone asks who is going to be the next judge the truth is you guys are the judge of this show (speaking to the audience and viewers) and you’ve done an incredible job on this show.”

It was a sad farewell to Simon.

He will be missed!

Lee DeWyze wins American Idol, Simon Cowell's emotional goodbye

Irish American Lee DeWyze has won American idol. The Illinois singer, whose mother's maiden name was Donahue, defeated the other top contender Crystal Bowersox in a tension packed finale.

DeWyze , apaint salesman,had been a long shot until the very final weeks of the competition but his low key demeanor won over audiences in the critical final weeks.

It was finale that had everything from Paula Abdul coming back to a farewell to Simon Cowell who preened and looked very happy with all the attention.

But then Cowell said goodbye and seemed close to tears at times,

‘Glee’ rocks the Lady Gaga look

On Wednesday night “Glee” featured the music of mildly loony and always eccentric looking Lady Gaga.

Gaga was over the moon as she’s been a fan of the hit show began. She said to see her style and hear her music on the show as a dream come true.

Before the show aired she said “I love the cast and the creativity of the writers. I went to a musical theatre school and used to dream that someday the students would be singing my songs. Can't wait for 'Bad Romance' and 'Poker Face' in ‘Glee’ fashion!"

The cast of Glee (as you can see above) were also rocking some of Gaga’s most audacious styles. Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) wore a version of Lady Gaga’s famous Kermit the Frog dress while Heather Morris wore the famous lobster dress.

Morris said “It was such a chore to wear because I had to dance in it and it wasn't made for dancing… It took us 45 minutes to get it on and off every day. All I could see was what was directly in front of me."

It seems that the Lady Gaga inspired “Glee” episode has been the biggest success since the Madonna tribute which sky rocketed “Glee’s” “The Power of Madonna” straight to the top of the top of the US charts.

I can’t wait for the Susan Boyle episode, when supposedly she’s going to play the lunch lady. I wonder what the outfits will be like?

Ricky Gervais’ Susan Boyle jibe explained

“The Office” creator, Ricky Gervais, had to undertake some serious damage control when he tried to pull off a controversial joke about Susan Boyle during his stand-up show.

Fury ensued when the British comic used the word “mong” to describe the internationally beloved singer, Susan Boyle. “Mong” is a derogatory term used in Britain to describe an individual with Down Syndrome.

The British Down Syndrome Association quickly contacted the comedian having heard about the slur.

On his official blog Ricky Gervais wrote “The DSA contacted my PR on the 6th of May explaining they had had a report about my routine about Susan Boyle and voiced their obvious concerns.

“I sent them an email (in which I wrote) 'I clearly explain that words change and that at no point am I referring to anyone with Down's Syndrome. Not only am I not referring to people with Down's Syndrome I also explain that I am not associating the word with its old derogatory meaning. I also do it as part of a routine about comedians taking responsibility for everything they say. I hope this is acceptable.'"

The Association has accepted Gervais’ explanation. Has anyone asked Susan Boyle how she feels about it?

Double trouble for John Travolta

John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston are expecting twins.

An insider said "They were ecstatic when they thought they were having just one baby. Now that there will be two, they can barely contain their happiness.”

The news that the couple are pregnant was announced last week.

This double bundle of joy comes just one year after the tragic death of Travolta’s son while they were on holidays. The actors are also parents to ten-year-old Ella Bleu.

Sandra Bullock’s estranged husband lied on TV

Jesse James’, Sandra Bullock’s estranged, cheating and possibly racist husband revealed all in a TV interview this week. During the interview he also said that he blames some of his behavior on the fact that he was beaten when he was a kid.

His father, Larry James denies this allegations and James’ ex-step mom called said that James was talking “a bunch of crap.”

During the interview James said “My whole childhood, I never had a chance to be a kid. I remember the clenched-teeth, strained-neck look on his face. He beat my a** pretty good a bunch of times. Ellen DeGeneres starts own record label

Talk show host and "American Idol" judge has set up her own record label and plans to sign up new artists that she feels deserves a break.

DeGeneres has called the label Eleveneleven and her first signing is 12-year-old You Tube sensation Greyson Chance who shot to fame with his version of Lady GaGa's "Paparazzi."

Chance, from Oklahoma is 12 and DeGeneres fell in love with him after seeing him on the computer.

He was invited to appear on the DeGeneres' show on May 13, sparking huge interest in his video which has now been viewed over 20 million times.

"Greyson ... inspired me to start a record label called eleveneleven. He is my first artist and we are making a record together," DeGeneres said in a statement released on Tuesday.

Who knows maybe DeGeneres will sign up some of "American Idol" rejects.

Lindsay Lohan may star in Willie Nelson's 'The Dry Gulch Kid'

Lindsay Lohan is in talks about possibly headlining Willie Nelson's of comedy "The Dry Gulch Kid" but she doesn't want to wear her SCRAM (alcohol-monitoring bracelet) while filming.

Lohan, who was in court on Monday told the judge she didn't want to wear the SCRAM bracelet as it might impede on her new movie role.

Although it's not been confirmed if Lohan has accepted the role Nelson said they are in talks.

"We are in talks, but nothing is confirmed yet," Nelson's production partner, Kerry Wallum, told the E Online site.

"Hopefully she'll let us know in the next few days. She's a good actress."

However Wallum doesn't see the bracelet as in issue.

"The ankle bracelet means nothing to us," she told E Online.com.

"We can take care of that."

The movie is scheduled to begin shooting this summer and stars Johnny Knoxville.

Lohan would play a character called "Lieutenant."

Lohan is currently being forced to juggle her career with several court dates.

On Monday she was sentenced to three years of probation and an 18-month alcohol education program.

Lohan will next appear in court for a hearing on July 6.

Word on the street is that hottie Megan Fox is ready to settle down with Green for life.

According to E! Online, the pair is ready to announce their wedding plans after learning Green's ex, Vanessa Marcil, is sporting an engagement ring from CSI: NY actor Carmine Giovinazzo.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Megan and Brian announced an engagement to overshadow Vanessa's wedding," a snitch told the news outlet.

"Either right before or right after - I could totally see that happening. It would drive Vanessa crazy."

In very unlikely news we're hearing that Madonna is reportedly replacing Simon Cowell as a judge on 'American Idol.'

It's impossible to believe that her Madgesty would even consider it, though.

According to the British tabloids, Madge is said to be show boss Simon Fuller's first choice to replace the music mogul after Cowell announced he was leaving the panel to concentrate launching the "X Factor" stateside next year.

She may be his first choice but that does not mean it's happening anywhere except in his imagination.

A source said: 'Simon is going to leave a gaping hole. Not only is he an expert, he's also a big star in the States. Everyone agrees Madge would be great and they want her as a full-time judge. But if that fails they'd at least like her as a mentor.'

Fuller is said to be 'desperate' to hire the Vogue singer to join the current judges Ellen DeGeneres, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi on America's most notorious judging panel.

I’m guessing when Danny O’Donoghue, from The Script, formed his band back in 1996 he never guessed that Cameron Diaz, one of the most desired women in the world would be slipping him her number on “The Today Show”.

That’s quite the way to start your weekend.

On Friday morning the Irish rockers got a real boost by being chosen to play on “The Today Show”. Cameron Diaz was also down on the set and she was spotted given our O’Donoghue her phone number.

It seems that O’Donoghue has a big fan. This is all despite the fact Diaz is seeing baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

An insider said “She ran up and told them that she was a big fan. She wanted to know when they would next be on tour.”

The source also confirmed that directly after “The Today Show” Cameron Diaz returned to Rodriguez’s apartment.

Oh well. I’m sure it’s a morning O’Donoghue will remember for some time.

Christina Aguilera calls off her summer tour

Christina Aguilera has called off her summer tour due to her busy schedule.

A statement from Live Nation said that the tour will take place next year and ticketholder can get refunds from their point of purchase.

Aguilera says her diary is jammed packed for the summer. However it seems that she only has an album launch, “Bionic”, on June 8 and the premiere of the movie “Burlesque”, which she stars in, this fall.

No time for a couple of shows in between then?

The statement read “The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date this wasn't possible.”

Leona Lewis, who shot to fame having won the British “X Factor”, was set to support Aguilera on the tour but now she’ll have to find other plans.

This summer’s tour was set to begin on July 15 and end of August 19.

The hunky actor is being turned into a plastic doll for his role in the movie in which he plays Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck reports say.

'I am very excited that there is an action figure of my character. It feels like a big deal. Getting my own toy was always the goal,' he coyly told the press this week

Cooper stars in the film alongside Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Jessica Biel, who will all also be made into dolls as part of the film`s merchandising.

Irish 'American Idol' finalist Carly Smithson sings U2 classic with new band.

Carly Smithson made it to the top five or six on "American Idol" two years ago but her career has gone from strength to strength since finding her niche; rock, more rock and soul.

About a year ago Smithson, from Dublin and now living in L.A., joined forces with former band members of Evanescence Ben Moody, John LeCompt, and Rocky Gray to become their lead singer.

The band is called We Are The Fallen.

For Billboard.com's Monday Mashup the band sang their version of the U2 classic "With Or Without You" and Smithson does a mega great job.

Lucy Lawless said sex scenes in 'Spartacus' were awkward.

Lucy Lawless has admitted that filming her sex scenes on "Spartacus" was awkward.

And why wouldn't they be, her husband, Rob Tapert, is the executive producer of the show.

Imagine your man watching you pretend to be with another guy.

That just screams "awkward."

However the actress told the Daily Record in England that Tapert decided not to come on set when she was working the sex scenes.

"Even though theoretically I don't have any issue with it, I like to think I am a modern young woman," Lawless told the Daily Record.

"It is really uncomfortable. You have to make the unsexy look incredibly sexy."

Lawless also joked that she has already started exercising in preparation for the upcomingSpartacus prequel.

"I am working out," she said.

"If they shoot the prequel, I'll have to look five years younger."

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to present at MTV Movie Awards

We just can't get enough of him ladies!

Robert Pattinson, along with "Twilight" co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will present at the MTV Movie Awards in L.A. on June 6 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City.

Not only will they appear together to present an award, they will also introduce a never-before-seen clip from "Eclipse" - opening in our movie theaters at the end of June.

They did the same for "New Moon" at last year's Movie Awards and MTV's Video Music Awards in September.

Last year's Movie Awards saw the first "Twilight" taking best movie, best female performance, best breakthrough performance (male), best kiss and best fight.

This year "New Moon" - last years movie and the second installment- is nominated in five categories.

Other presenters on the night will include Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Biel, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Shaun White (Olympian) and Jonah Hill.

The show will be hosted by funnyman Aziz Ansari.

Less than a week later, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will take part in a panel discussion at a Twilightfan convention in Los Angeles on June 12.

Victoria Secret model to replace Megan Fox in 'Transformers 3'?

It has been touted over the weekend that Victoria Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley may be the next character to fall in love with Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBoeuf) in "Transformers 3".

Although several names have already been linked to the role, Huntington-Whiteley is as sexy as Megan Fox - who got the boot after "Transformers 2" and could very well fill her place nicely.

Advance word on "Going the Distance " the new movie starring Drew Barrymore Justin Long and Jim Gaffigan is that it is already getting the kind of media buzz that smacks of this summer's hottest hit.

It will released on August 13.

The move may be the career breakthrough for Irish Cathoilic Jim Gaffigan who has made a name for himself on Comedy Central and who continues to draw fans in huge numbers.

Gaffigan was born in Chesterton, Indiana according to Wikipedia. He is one of six children and often jokes about growing up in a large family.

He is married to Jeannie Noth, with whom he has two daughters, Marre and Katie, and one son, Jack.

Gaffigan is a practicing Catholic and of Irish descent, although in his Comedy Central Presents special he joked that his dad was Swedish and his mother was Elton John.

Gaffigan is also known for various routines or skits relating to being lazy and eating food, His 2006 album, Beyond the Pale consisted primarily of material regarding food and American eating habits.

Lindsay Lohan may end up in jail

A California judge is working a vacation day Monday to hear what excuses Irish American actress Lindsay Lohan comes up with for her non-appearance in court last week.

If she doesn't like them Lindsay may end up in jail.

Judge Marsha N. Revel issued an arrest warrant for Lohan on Thursday but Lohan was in Cannes at the film festival partying.
Her attorneys said she lost her passport

"Actions speak louder than words. I've heard the best words in the world, but the actions are far more important," the judge said. "She has a history of not keeping scheduled appointments.... I couldn't have been more clear about the priority of this case and getting things done."

It an ominous sign that Revel who was scheduled to begin a vacation will stay to hear the case.

Lohan was found guilty on driving and alcohol abuse charges and she is on probation.


Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said her client is mostly in compliance and that the probation officer supports that view.

Out of nowhere, Lee De Wyze has shot to hot favorite status for the 2010 American Idol status.

Las Vegas bookies this week made him the prohibitive 1-2 favorite, in other words bet two dollars to win one.

Meanwhile long time clear leader Crystal Bowersox is at 6-4, lay four dollars to win six, second choice.

How did DeWyze, mother's name Donahue, and proud of his Irish heritage, mange to grab the inside slot as the race comes to the final bend?

Timing is everything it seems.

After leading all season long Bowersox has not been pleasing the judges these past few nights. The problem she has is being on top for too long.

Sarah Jessica Parker, the star of 'Sex and the City 2,' loves receiving all the free clothes from the movie because she "grew up poor," famed stylist Patricia Field has claimed.

The actress has just reprised her role as Carrie Bradshaw for the second movie adaptation. The movie (like the original TV series) is renowned for the outfits Sarah Jessica and her co-stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis wear, which were chosen by costume designer Patricia Field.

It was recently reported the wardrobe for 'Sex and the City 2' cost $10 million dollars. Although that figure has been disputed it is known that Sarah Jessica gets to keep all the clothing she wears on set.

Patricia insists it is understandable that the actress wants to take home the pieces as she is not used to having such lavish outfits. 'If there’s anything that makes her like that, it’s that she grew up poor, and she delights in all the things she can have and has,' Patricia explained.

Patricia insists her upbringing had a huge affect on Sarah Jessica and she is now making up for lost time. 'She’s in a position where she’s offered many things. I am, as well. My take on it is her thing is that she comes from a family that was not wealthy at all, and it was a big family. She remembers her childhood as being poor, and when her career started as a child, she really helped support and provide for her family,' Patricia told the American edition of OK! magazine.

Simon Cowell hated himself over Susan Boyle

"Britain's Got Talent" judge Simon Cowell has admitted that he hated himself after watching Susan Boyle's famous first audition on playback.

The reality TV judge, 50, told Oprah Winfrey on her show this week that the Scottish singer's appearance on "Britain's Got Talent" had been a necessary 'wake-up call.'

"On the day of her audition, I was in such a bad mood, I didn't want to be there, I never thought we'd find anyone good," he said.

"When I watched the clip back, I actually hated myself. We're all sneering, we're not listening. I didn't like what I saw. It was a wake-up call, and I was happy she made us look stupid, because we deserved it."

Cowell also revealed that the reason he wants to take "The X Factor" to the US and continue working on TV talent shows is because he enjoys the buzz.

"I remember Fantasia singing 'Summertime' on 'American Idol,' and for three minutes, I lost myself," he said. "You want to be part of something people are talking about. I love that feeling."

Just 16 months after the death of their son, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston have announced they are expecting a baby.

On Wednesday Travolta, 56, wrote on his website that his wife Preston, 47, was three months pregnant.

Travolta wrote: "It's impossible to keep a secret... especially one as wonderful as this."

The couple already have a 10 year old daughter, Ella and are still trying to come to terms with the death of their 16-year-old son Jett last year.

Jett died of a seizure last January in the Bahamas.

He suffered from rare Kawasaki disease.

Tragedy seems to follow the Travoltas.

Last week their two dogs were killed by an airport truck in Maine.

The pregnancy has been called "a miracle" because of Kelly's age.

She is due in November.

New Zealand Opera singer slams Susan Boyle

When asked to compare herself to Scottish reality star turned singer Dame Kiri Te was not too pleased to have to answer it.

Kiri Te is apparently starting up her own version of "Britain's Got Talent" - the show that discovered SuBo.

In an interview on a New Zealand radio station to compare herself to Boyle - who has sold eight million records and has topped the charts globally in just one year.

"Move on. I'm doing something classical, not whizz-bang. Whizz-bang disappears. It goes 'whizz' and then 'bang'. You insult me by even wanting to bring it into this conversation. I'm not interested.

"[My competition] has nothing to do with The X Factor, which I can't bear. It's whipped up for one night and it's over. I feel so sorry and sad for those poor contestants. My show is everything to do with finding a true singer.

"It's a mission because I'm capable of bringing talent forward, which is not being done enough."

Megan Fox out of 'Transformers 3'

The starlet of the "Transformers" movies Megan Fox will not appear in the third installment of the movie.

It is unclear if Fox ditched them or she was given the boot but one thing is for sure, it won't be the same without her.

According to Deadline Hollywood, it was Michael Bay that gave Fox her marching cards.

Nikki Finke of Deadline wrote, "Giving Shia a new love interest makes more sense for the story," an insider said.

However Fox's people are saying it was her that chose not to sign up for a third installment.

"It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best," reps for 24-year-old actress told People.com.

Maybe it had something to do with her publicly comparing Bay to Adolf Hitler last year!

She told Wonderland Magazine last September, "[Michael] wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation."

"He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for."

But she did say that her director was much nicer off set!

"When you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward," she said.

"He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant."

Bay to say the least was not very impressed!

He responded with.. "She says some very ridiculous things."

"And she still has a lot of growing up to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want.'
