Bradley Cooper doesn't have his own 'Hangover'-style entourage

The 38-year-old actor will miss the special bond he formed with his co-stars Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis on the set of the comedy franchise because most of his close friends live in Switzerland and he rarely gets to see them.

Asked whether his real-life friendship circle was anything like the movie trilogy's 'Wolf Pack', Bradley said: "I don't have an entourage of friends who follow me everywhere and with whom I can go crazy. But I've got childhood friends who are still around.
"Some of my best pals live in Neuchâtel in Switzerland. I went there when I was a teenager one summer when I didn't speak French at all, and learnt the language there. They were part of the rowing team I used to train with. I'm still close with my Swiss host family too."

The actor is amazed the films have struck a chord with so many people and thinks most men can identify with their dysfunctional friendships and crazy moments.

Bradley added in an interview with Swiss newspaper Le Matin: "The chemistry between the three of us is the main reason for it, I think. It's kind of every man's fantasy to have amazing friends with whom you can live it up at the age of 20, and still do the same when you're pushing 40.

"I think a lot of people see a bit of themselves in Phil, Stu and Alan."

‘The Hangover’ star Heather Graham thinks Las Vegas is ‘phony’

The 43-year-old actress returned to the US gambling capital in the Nevada desert to film the third installment of 'The Hangover', but finds it too superficial for her taste.

She said: "I don't like Las Vegas. People seem phony, they're spending all their money and it's sad. And it's also so cold with permanent air conditioning everywhere.

"I'm more the type who wants to be outside and look at a tree. I don't want to look at a machine."

Although she didn't enjoy the location, Heather especially liked the luxury trailers she and her co-stars - Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms - stayed in during filming.

When asked what was different this time round, she replied: "Well, we had much nicer trailers, they're gorgeous, you can live in there, they're so nice! And Zach has gone on a total health kick, he's Mr Healthy, he's observing this really strict diet.

"He's this crazy comedian, but now he's super health-conscious, he doesn't eat sugar or gluten."
Heather does admit to following a similar food ritual, but admits to indulging when on holiday.

She added: "I sort of am [like that]. It's sad! I didn't use to be like that. I'll eat candy but, because I feel better if I don't, I don't usually do it. But I go to Italy or somewhere that has the best bread ever, I will eat it, but I don't eat a lot of white flour on a daily basis."

'Silver Linings Playbook' star Bradley Cooper's life hasn't "been the same" since his father's death

Cooper at the 2013 Academy Awards
Cooper at the 2013 Academy Awards
The 'Silver Linings Playbook' was unaffected by missing out an Oscar for Best Actor at last month's Academy Awards because watching his father, stoke broker Charles J. Cooper, lose his battle to lung cancer two years ago put his life in perspective.

He explained to British GQ magazine: "Death became very real. And very tangible. Because my father - someone who had been in my life for 36 years is just f***ing gone.

"I watched him dying and I was there by his bed watching him, breathing with him, and then I saw his last breath and he was gone. I experienced the whole thing. And that was a watershed moment that I was privileged to experience. And it changed everything. Nothing has ever been the same since."

Since his father's death, the 38-year-old actor has admitted he doesn't "sweat s***" like winning awards for his acting work and believes it's probably for the best that he didn't win an Oscar.

He said: "You know William Blake's 'Songs Of Innocence?' Well, right there, in that moment, the innocence was gone. Done. Never to return. The beauty is that I just don't sweat s**t anymore.

"I don't want to win an Oscar. It would change nothing. Nothing. The things in my life that aren't fulfilled would not be fulfilled. Career-wise, right now, it's better that I don't win one. I don't want to win. I don't."

'Silver Linings Playbook' star Bradley Cooper thinks his life is getting 'crazier'

Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper, who is nominated for an Oscar for his role in 'Silver Livings Playbook,' said recently that he is just trying to live in the moment in the run up to the Academy Awards on February 24.

Cooper told People.com, "It just gets crazier and crazier."

While Cooper has been the focus of a lot of tabloid fodder lately - namely, his bizarre breakup with model Laura Simpson over a foot fetish - he insists that he still lives a very "normal" life.

"One of the things I love doing is to go to a theater and watch a movie by myself. My life's very normal."

Normal or crazy life, Cooper is still surprised by the response his work can draw. Last month, the actor participated in a talk with military veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington on Thursday and was overwhelmed by the response he received.

He said: "A lot of vets have reached out saying they can really identify with Pat Solitano (his 'Silver Linings Playbook' character). So we screened the movie last night - we thought 50 people would attend, and there were 200! We spent three hours there talking with them.

"We made this movie knowing it was personal for [director] David [O. Russell], but it's also become personal for so many people who have watched the movie."

Bradley Cooper has a new date for the Oscars, his mother Gloria

Cooper and Cooper at the Oscars
The 'Silver Linings Playbook' star - who won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy at the Critics Choice Movie Awards on Thursday - has revealed he will walk the red carpet with his mother Gloria before the prestigious ceremony next month after recently splitting from his girlfriend of more than one year Zoe Saldana.

The 38-year-old actor told E! News his mother claimed his plus-one ticket for the Academy Awards on February 24 long before he was even nominated in this year's Best Actor category.

He said: "Oh yeah, that was done. One night, when I started the profession, [my mom said], 'If you ever [get nominated], I am the date. She was freaking out."
The newly single star recently revealed that his parents are his inspiration and he hopes to have a traditional family home like theirs.

He said: "I would say I am a romantic, for sure. I think most guys are deep down. I look at my parents, who have been married happily since 1963, and my grandparents are the same. What guy wouldn't want that?
"I think the thought of a traditional family home is awesome. Traditional roles are becoming a thing of the past, but I think there is something still really charming about them."

Bradley had originally planned to ring in 2013 with the stunning 'Avator' actress but following their sudden breakup after more than a year of dating he opted to spend some quality time with his family in Philadelphia instead.

Bradley Cooper celebrated his birthday in style despite his recent split from Zoe Saldana

Movie poster for Silver Linings Playbook
The newly single 'Silver Linings Playbook' star enjoyed his 38th birthday at the 24th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival gala in Palm Springs, California, on Saturday night where he was serenaded by fans and other celebrity guests after being awarded the Desert Palm Achievement trophy for excellence in acting.

The actor told the New York Post's Page Six that he was especially touched on hearing what the film's director David O. Russell had to say about him.

He said: "Hearing his speech was the ultimate birthday present, I have to say."

The heartthrob's extra special celebration followed a low key New Year's Eve for the actor after his split from his former 'The Words' co-star Zoe after a year of casually dating.

He had originally planned to spend Christmas and ring in 2013 with the stunning 'Avator' actress but following their sudden breakup, he reportedly spend some quality time with his family in Philadelphia, where he was spotted watching the Mummer's Day parade last Wednesday.

An eyewitness said: "He looked like he was having a great time! He really looked like he was enjoying himself."

Meanwhile, his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend spent the holiday with friends in Miami.

The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’s' Bradley Cooper’s mother wants him to settle down

Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana

The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor is involved in an on/off relationship with his ‘The Words’ co-star Zoe Saldana, and Bradley’s mother Gloria has been spending time with the 34-year-old actress recently to discover if she is ready for marriage with Bradley, 37.

A source told RadarOnline: "She's very protective over Bradley and likes to get to know his girlfriends. She became good friends with Renee[Zellweger] and his former wife Jennifer [Esposito] and it's important to him that his mom gets on well with whoever he dates.

"Bradley recently told Gloria that he is very serious about Zoe, so she spent Thanksgiving with the pair of them.

"Gloria loves Zoe, but she wants to know what her intentions are with the relationship. She knows Zoe isn't getting any younger and is hoping that if she is the one that they will settle down soon.

"Ideally, she wants a grandchild so the pressure is on for Bradley to put a ring on it."

Zoe and Gloria were recently spotted deep in conversation as they enjoyed a day out with the actor and his dog in Venice, California.

A source said: "Bradley was standing with his dog outside the Mystic Journey Bookstore, while his mother and Zoe were inside shopping. The two women were engrossed in deep conversation, it looked very serious, and there was clearly a lot of bonding going on."

Bradley Cooper has Sexiest Man Alive matches with Ryan Gosling

Cooper at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards
The 37-year-old actor - who was voted People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive 2011 - joked that working with fellow heartthorb Ryan on 'The Place Beyond The Pines' was like a testosterone-fuelled competition about who was the most attractive.

Bradley laughed: "It was treacherous. We had Sexiest Man Alive matches every lunchtime. Who walked most sexily, who are lunch most sexily, who opened doors most sexily. He won every time. Just kidding. He's a really good guy."

The modest actor is embarrassed at the amount of times he gets quizzed about the title - which has now been stolen by 'Magic Mike' actor Channing Tatum - and he hopes it won't follow him around forever.
Bradley told more! magazine: "Every time somebody mentions it to me, I record them and play the conversation back when I get up in the morning just to remind myself. No, I don't really think about it much because it's nothing to do with me, it's just a thing that was here one minute, gone the next and it's not like I walk down the street and people yell at me, 'Here comes the Sexiest Man Alive!' "
Christina Aguilera loves hiking with her boyfriend.

The 'Voice' mentor loves spending time with Matthew Rutler but admitted the footwear for hiking is not her usual choice. She said: "My boyfriend and I started hiking. He got me in a pair of sneakers - no heels, no red soles. So out of character for me."

Christina also revealed her son Max, four, - from her marriage to Jordan Bratman - doesn't mind when paparazzi follow them. She explained: "Paparazzi followed me at my son's soccer game the other day. I was complaining but he said 'Don't worry Mama. They're not taking pictures of you, they're taking pictures of me."

Bradley Cooper says kissing Sarah Jessica Parker was a "nightmare"

Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper
Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper
The 'Hangover' actor guest starred in an episode of 'Sex and the City' where he had to kiss Sarah's iconic character Carrie Bradshaw and he admits it was difficult because he was being told how to be intimate with her.

Bradley said: "I did 'Sex and the City' and I was very nervous because I was driving a stick shift, a standard Porsche, and I thought I was going to bang Sarah Jessica Parker's head against the dashboard. That was all I was thinking about.

"And then right before we shot the scene, this guy came up and I think he said, 'SJP does no tongue. No tongue, man'. And I was like, 'Who's SJP?' So she kisses me, then straddles me in the front of the car and all I kept thinking about was keeping my tongue as far back in my mouth as possible. It was nightmare. But she wasn't - she was great."

The 37-year-old has earned awards buzz for his latest role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' alongside Jennifer Lawrence, 22, but remains grounded about his success.

He told the Metro newspaper: "I learned early on in this business that everything is hyped and if you listen to that buzz, you're going to have a very sad life."

Bradley Cooper says the third 'Hangover' movie will be perfect closure for the series

Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper

The actor is once again reprising his role as Phil Wenneck in the comedy franchise and while he can't give too much away about the storyline, he thinks it will be a good ending.

He said: "We're in Los Angeles, and Vegas, and Tijuana. This film is a perfect closure to the series. But I'm sorry, that's all I can say."

Bradley can currently be seen playing bipolar sufferer Pat Solitano in new movie 'Silver Linings Playbook' and he says he wanted to make sure he portrayed him in a realistic way.

He said: "Well, if you're diagnosed as having bipolar disorder, it's not like there's a sheet saying, 'This is what it is.' David O'Russell (the director) says that mental illness is much like snowflakes - no two are the same. I watched a lot of footage to learn about people who have suffered mentally, but ultimately we just created a character based on his made up history. Pat lives in a bit of a delusion in order to cope with his life. He doesn't have a filter."

Bradley Cooper used to be jealous of Leonardo DiCaprio

Cooper at the 2012 Vanity Fair
 Oscar Party
The 'Silver Linings Playbook' actor had a memorable encounter with the Hollywood A-lister when he worked as a hotel doorman and felt "worlds apart" from the star, who is now a close showbiz pal.

Bradley confessed: "I worked as a doorman all through grad school. I remember taking Leonardo DiCaprio up to his room, and I was in the elevator with him and, like, seven of his friends. It was around the time of 'Titanic'.

"And I remember this guy who looked like a kid, even though we were about the same age, he looked like a little boy. I remember thinking how I was three feet away from this guy, and we were worlds apart."

Despite achieving worldwide success thanks to 'The Hangover', the actor can't believe he has so many famous faces on speed dial and is still in awe of his co-star Robert De Niro, who is so cool he finds himself copying his mannerisms.

Bradley added to ShortList magazine: "To this day, I can't believe [I'm friends with him]. He's infectious. You know when you're with some of your friends and you just start to act like them?

"That's what he's like. When you're with him, you find yourself just starting to adopt some of those mannerisms through osmosis. I draw the lime at going to get a Mohawk, though."

Bradley Cooper has revealed he was arrested for underage drinking when he was 15

Cooper at the Golden Globe Awards
The 'Silver Linings Playbook' star - who has been sober for eight years - admits he was very rebellious when he was younger but credits his "intellectually curious" late father Charles for inspiring him to become an actor.

He told the December issue of Esquire magazine: "I grew up in an interesting family. My father was Irish, and my mother was Italian. It's a rich tapestry. It's soaking in volatility. But I was raised well.

"I put them through some hell, of course. I got arrested [for underage drinking] when I was 15.

My mom [Gloria] always said, 'Just call me. I wanna know where you are,' We always had good lines of communication, me and my parents.

"My father was viciously smart and intellectually curious. We lived across the street from a movie theatre. And he would always talk about all these movies, and when I was at the age of being able to appreciate them, he just started throwin' 'em my way.

"He was a huge Tom Courtenay fan. 'Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner' was one of the first ones he showed me. And 'The Dresser. And 'Under the Volcano'. He loved Albert Finney."

The 37-year-old actor previously revealed that after years of abusing drugs and alcohol he realised he was ruining his life because he wasn't comfortable in his own skin and has now been clean since he was 29.
Earlier this year, he said: "I don't drink or do drugs anymore. Being sober helps a great deal ... I remember looking at my life, my apartment, my dogs [when I was still using], and I thought, 'What's happening?'

"I was so concerned what you thought of me, how I was coming across, how I would survive the day. I always felt like an outsider. I just lived in my head. I realised I wasn't going to live up to my potential, and that scared the hell out of me. I thought, 'Wow, I'm actually gonna ruin my life. I'm really gonna ruin it."

Bradley Cooper thought it was a joke when he was named the Sexiest Man Alive

Bradley Cooper

The modest actor believed he was being pranked when he took People magazine's annual title in 2011 and he still isn't sure what makes him the world's hottest man.

Bradley told the Daily Mail newspaper: "They called, and I actually thought it was a joke. There's nothing in it at all. I mean, look at me!"

Channing Tatum is rumoured to have already been chosen as the sexiest guy of 2012 and looks set to steal the title from reigning champion Bradley.

'The Silver Linings Playbook' star says he let fame go to his head when he first gained notoriety working on TV show 'Alias' in 2001, but quickly managed to lose his big ego.

Bradley explained: "I was 25, and there was something gratifying about someone you don't know, knowing you. The whole idea of fame could absolutely fill a void if you let it in. Luckily I was young."
Nowadays, the 37-year-old actor still can't believe his luck and the privileged jet-setting lifestyle he leads.

Bradley said: "I still can't believe it when I'm somewhere like London - it's a joke."

Bradley Cooper says the key to a good relationship is being "loving"

Bradley Cooper in "Silver Linings Playbook"
Bradley Cooper in "Silver Linings Playbook"
The 'Silver Linings Playbook' actor has dated several famous beauties - including Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Aniston and current girlfriend Zoe Saldana - and while he won't speak much about his love life publicly, he knows it's important to treat a woman well.

He told Glamour magazine: "I try to be loving. I think that's the key. I try to be as honest as I can. And caring, I try to be caring."

Bradley also revealed he still looks himself up on the internet.

The Hollywood heartthrob insists a thorough look on what information there is about him on Google helps keep him "grounded".

He said: "This is a business that humbles you daily, just hop on the internet and you can get humbled in two seconds.

"I've gone online. If anything, you have to stay grounded by not believing all the negativity.

"But I don't look at reviews of my work. Once you give over to what reviewers think, that's tricky. It's so subjective. You have to stay true to the movie you wanted to make - you'll never please everybody."

Bradley Cooper’s romance with Zoe Saldana is back on

Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper
Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper
‘The Hangover’ actor was spotted leaving Zoe's Hollywood home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The on-off couple met up again later yesterday for a cosy cinema date at the Arclight Dome Theatre on Sunset Boulevard, where they watched the controversial new Scientology-inspired movie ‘The Master’.

The former co-stars – whose relationship seemed awkward at the premier of ‘The Words’ earlier in September - appear to have rekindled their casual romance after breaking up in March.

A source close to the ‘Avatar’ actress said at the time: “They’re definitely not together. She and Bradley weren’t super-serious at all.”

While Zoe’s love life appears to be going well, the actress has had a tough time recently after the Hollywood Reporter revealed she has been cast as Nina Simone in the upcoming biopic ‘Nina’.

Some critics began an online petition at Change.org calling for the movie’s director Cynthia Mort to hire another actress “who actually looks like Nina Simone”, claiming Zoe’s skin tone does not match Simone’s dark complexion.

Blogger Tiffani Jones wrote on her blog Coffee Rhetoric: “Hollywood and the media have a tendency to whitewash and lightwash a lot of stories, particularly when black actresses are concerned.”

Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana forced to reunite at the Hollywood premiere of "The Words"

Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana
Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana
The couple - who dated for three months after meeting on the set - have managed to avoid each other at previous screenings for the film, but posed for pictures together after walking the line of journalists separately.

They got together after 'Star Trek' beauty Zoe broke up with her partner of 11 years Keith Britton in November last year.

By March the romance was over, although friends say they were never serious about each other.
A source said: "They're definitely not together. She and Bradley weren't super serious at all."

The pair are not the only stars to have to reunite on the red carpet after splitting - it is thought Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be seen together to promote the last film in the 'Twilight' franchise, despite her cheating on him with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders.

MTV Video Music Awards host Kevin Hart said: "From what I understand they're both still gonna be here. I'm not really up to speed on the whole soap opera that's been going on between them. I know they've got a movie to promote. Twilight's coming out so it makes sense for them to show up at the VMAs if you ask me.
[Although] I don't really care."

Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson - hot news couple sneak out on a dinner date

Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson
The 27-year-old actress - who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds - and her 'He's Just Not That Into You' co-star appeared "wrapped up in each other" as they flirted and laughed through a meal at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant at the Bel Air Hotel in California on June 11.

A source told RadarOnline.com: "They seemed very comfortable together and it was pretty obvious they are into each other. Bradley seemed almost distracted by Scarlett's beauty, especially since she was wearing a very low cut dress, and Scarlett was totally working her charms. She kept flipping her hair when she laughed at his jokes.

"The chemistry between them was very evident and they looked totally wrapped up in each other - very cute! They were definitely having more than a 'friends' dinner, it seemed pretty obvious they totally have the hots for each other."

According to onlookers, Bradley - who has previously dated actresses Renee Zellweger and Zoe Saldana - picked up the bill for the meal and the pair then relocated to the venue's piano bar to continue their evening over drinks.

Bradley Cooper was "nervous" about appearing in "The Silver Linings Playbook"

Bradley Cooper
The 37-year-old actor was apprehensive about taking on the role of a psychiatric patient trying to win back his wife because he thought director David O. Russell - who helmed 'The Fighter' - would be very demanding, but he enjoyed the experience and they are now firm friends.

He said: "I was nervous to work with David because I knew he was going to be so demanding - I've seen all his movies and there's really not one bad performance.

"But it was an incredible experience and he's become a dear friend."

Bradley is particularly enjoying his career at the moment because he is doing his best to challenge himself professionally.

He told Total Film: "Lately I've been doing things that really scare me. I've taken on projects that are compelling and challenging."

One such challenge was on 'The Words' - in which he plays a struggling writer who obtains overnight success after stealing another author's work - which was directed by his old friends Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal and also stars Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, Ben Barnes and Zoe Saldana.

Bradley Cooper thinks being crowned Sexiest Man Alive is 'awful'

Bradley Cooper
The ‘Hangover’ actor – who was recently awarded the coveted title by People magazine – admitted being given the accolade has made him more aware of how “not sexy” he really is.

Bradley joked: “It's the worst. Oh, it's just so awful. I’m finally at an age - I'm 36 years old - where I really don't care about anything like that anymore, which is wonderful thing, and then it happened. And then I started to realize just how not sexy I am.

“I have a lot of moments where I’m walking out and I’ll open up the door and think to myself, ‘I could do that a lot sexier’.”

However, the 36-year-old heartthrob – who previously dated actress Renee Zellweger - explained in his opinion the accolade should have been handed to ‘The Notebook’ hunk Ryan Gosling.

Speaking on UK TV series ‘The Graham Norton Show’, Bradley added: “He literally looks like he's in a photo shoot, like he just came off the runway.

"I literally look like the neighbor who never comes really out of his house."
