Fans throw iPhones at One Direction instead of underwear

Niall Horan
One Direction fans seem to be reaching new levels of crazy every day. Instead of throwing their underwear at Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan, now they are showering them with iPhones.

According to the Irish Independent, Irish member Niall Horan dished about the mania.

“They’ve kind of toned it down a little bit. It was worse. Now it’s kind of iPhones and things, which are kind of dangerous,” Horan is reported to have said.

The 18-year-old Mullingar native spoke about how the band cannot go anywhere without being mobbed.

Niall said: “When we were in New York, we were on our day off and me and Liam [Payne] were going down the street with one of our security guards and we got absolutely mobbed by like 600 people in Times Square.

“I thought ‘There is literally not one place I can walk down the street’.”

Horan, who has over four million followers on Twitter said the attention is hard to get used to.

“It’s been absolutely nuts,” he said. “It’s been crazy. We’re still trying to get our heads around it.”

Bono made a surprise appearance at restaurant Max Brenner in Tel Aviv

U2's Bono
The U2 star was joined by a party of 12 guests at the venue - famed for its use of chocolate - where he enjoyed an evening out where he kept his famous sunglasses on for the duration.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Bono kept his sunglasses on at all times. He was extremely kind to the waiters and guests."

However, the 51-year-old singer - who is renowned for his charitable work and political campaigning - did not leave empty handed, taking some chocolate goodies with him as gifts from the restaurant staff.

Bono has been seen a lot in Israel recently despite his band not playing in the country since 1997 - it is believed he is there on either business or a charity trip.

Bono - who is an avid charity and human rights campaigner - has previously joked he understands why people dislike him and his band, but he thinks that is what makes him interesting.

He said: "We're the most loved and hated band on earth. A lot of the reasons people don't like us - apart from myself, which I understand because I have to live with me too - are actually what make us interesting.

"It's the tangents, the explorations, the making mistakes in public. The audacity of thinking you can get involved in something like debt cancellation and being slagged off by your mates.

"Our diversions make us interesting."

Sinead O'Connor's new album "How About I Be Me (And You Be You?)" is "all down to the c**k" - VIDEO

Sinead O'Connor
The singer – who released her new LP 'How About I Be Me (And You Be You?) earlier this week – hopes people who are listening to it are taken on a journey, but admits essentially it boils down to one thing, sex.

She told The Word magazine: "I always liked the idea that you listened to my records like reading the diaries of someone recovering from very severe abuse.

"A journey documented musically, and the whole point of the journey is to get happy. There's no point taking the journey if, at the end of it, you're going to be f**king miserable. But it's all down to the c**k, obviously. As it always is."

Sinead has previously made public pleas for sex and she admits she did so to cause trouble.

She said: "It was amusing, because we're still a very repressed country about sexuality. It was hilarious, reactions and reactions, six weeks of complete f**king mayhem which was just the best six weeks I've ever had in my life!"

The band - made up of Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and Jonny Buckland - were persuaded to perform at the Volvo Ocean Race venue in Abu Dhabi by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed.

Table tickets for the exclusive event cost $6,630 (£4,300), which includes car parking passes, champagne and spirits.

Jonny is particularly excited to be performing at the venue because he loved his visit the last time he went.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I've never stayed anywhere like the hotel they put me in and probably never will again. It made Buckingham Palace look like a two-bed semi."

However, the performance will be an unusual one for Chris - who raises children Apple, seven and Moses, five, with Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow - because he usually does not seem them over the festive period.

He said: "We're best friends who never hang out with each other except for 10 hours a day when we're working."

The DUP’s Gregory Campbell said “I would like to hear straight from him as to whether he was aware of the entirety of the lyrics when he played it…It’s conceivable, though not likely, that he could have put a track on without knowing all of what was on the track. It would be helpful if he could explain that.

Anderson declined to comment on his choice of song.

The 19-year-old star – who spent three months receiving treatment for an eating disorder and self-harming from last November - feels she has learned a lot from her experiences and is grateful that her loved ones accept her for who she is.

She wrote in her column for Seventeen magazine: “Thinking about how far I have come in a year makes me so thankful. I could not have done this without God and the amazing support from my family.

“Honestly, I am thankful for my life path, including the highs and the lows, because it has caused my true self to shine through. Going to treatment was a gift and I believe it saved my life.

“I learned how to be strong and healthy even through struggles. It also helped me open up about my issues and share them with others. Knowing that my family, friends and fans accept me for who I am is the greatest feeling ever!”

Demi admits her experiences over the last year have made her more appreciative of the things she has in her life and she has vowed not to take things for granted again.

She added: “I am so thankful that I am healthy and happy this year. I no longer take things for granted, like my family, friends, fans and career. Each day is special to me and I take each day one day at a time.

“Sometimes people get busy and forget to enjoy the moment - but I know I will not do that this holiday season. I have worked very hard to get to the place I am today and I am going to enjoy every minute of it!”

Beady Eye (Google Images)

The group – which is made up of former Oasis members Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Chris Sharrock and Andy Bell – would have no problem working with the rhythm guitarist, real name Paul Arthurs, who quit Oasis in 1999 and was replaced by Gem.

Asked if they would record a track with him, Liam said: "Yeah man, why not? He's gotta bring his Freddie Starr wig along with him though. He's a geezer Bonehead, he's been to see some of the gigs."

Andy added to NME magazine: "Yeah, he's been to a lot of gigs. He's a lovely man. He's always welcome."

Liam Gallagher knew the break-up of Oasis ‘had to happen’

Liam Gallagher (telegraph.co.uk)

The outspoken singer was "absolutely devastated" when his former group ended in August 2009 following huge bust-up between himself and his brother, guitarist Noel Gallagher, but he thinks it came at a time when the band couldn't get any bigger.

He said: "I was absolutely devastated Oasis split up. But I just look at the positives now. We smashed it. We took it as big as we could and it inspired a lot of kids.

"I suppose we done what we came to do. It could have been different but the people in the band, that's the way we are.

He added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "There's not a day goes by when I don't think about Oasis and the music, but it wasn't meant to be.

Michael Buble has mocked Kim Kardashian – calling her a "bitch" during a concert

Michael Buble (ContactMusic.com)

The 'Cry me a River' singer seemingly doesn't have much sympathy for reality TV star Kim – who filed for divorce from second husband Kris Humphries  after just 72 days of marriage at the end of last month – and used the derogatory term to describe her after pretending to invite her on stage.

Performing at the iHeartRadio Live concert in New York, he told the audience: "Ladies and gentleman, I have a very special guest … Please welcome Kim Kardashian to the stage."

Fans then collectively gasped, according to the New York Post newspaper, when he quickly added: “Nah, just f***ing with you! That bitch isn’t coming on my stage.”

Michael – who married Argentinean model-and-actress Luisana Lopilato in April – then dedicated his version of Nina Simone’s 'Feeling Good' to Kris.

He also said of the couple: “She hurt him, she hurt him! I wish she had hurt me!”

Last week, Kris' father William Humphries claimed his son had been "blindsided" by the divorce filing and had no idea it was coming.

He said: "There was never a discussion about it - it just came out of nowhere and blindsided Kris.

"How could someone do that? Kris was completely surprised. The news was already published before he found out.

"Kris is hurting, but we're here for him. It's not a nice situation."

Kim flew to Atlanta last week where she filmed her part in new film 'The Marriage Counselor'.

Rihanna finds love in Northern Ireland with boxer / model Dudley O’Shaughnessy

Dudley O’Shaughnessy
Is art imitating life for this pop star and Dudley O’Shaughnessy?

Reports are emerging that Rihanna has found love of her own with amateur Brit boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy while in Belfast.

It’s been exciting few days for Rihanna this week so far in Northern Ireland. First, she was given the boot off some farmland in Bangor, Co. Down during her filming for her upcoming video for ‘We Found Love.’

Then, she attracted crowds as well as police escorts in the New Lodge area of Belfast during a second day of filming.

Now Rihanna hand-picked boxer-turned-model O’Shaughnessy to play the lead opposite her in her video for ‘We Found Love.’ Evidently, Rihanna is putting a literal spin on her new tune.

O’Shaughnessy, an amateur boxer, is 21 years old, two years Rihanna’s junior. He was scouted in his hometown London while riding the tube, and was reportedly “delighted” to give modelling a try. Seems that Rihanna is equally delighted.

"Rihanna was making no secret that she fancied the pants off Dudley. They hit it off straight away," a source told the Sun. "She had seen his modelling shots and other pictures when he was a boxer."

“Rihanna took every opportunity to get close to him and at one point she was sitting in his lap during a break from filming,” the source tells The Sun.

Rihanna’s continuing her tour of Ireland this week with three sold-out shows in Belfast’s Odyssey Arena, and another night on Monday at Dublin’s O2 stadium.
