Charlie Sheen will retire when 'Anger Management' comes to an end

Charlie Sheen
The 46-year-old actor sees his forthcoming new comedy show as his "swan song" and rather than looking for further acting work, he is looking forward to spending more time with his five kids - Cassandra, 27, Sam, eight, Lola, seven, and two-year-old twins Bob and Max - when the programme eventually draws to a close.

He said: "When I'm done with this business it's just going to be about soccer games and amusement parks. And when [Anger Management] ends, I'm done. This is my swan song.

"I've been doing this 30 years. And there's a lot more out there to do than make-believe, you know? I mean, I'm grateful. I've got a dream life as a direct result of television, you know? But at some point you just get tired of wearing somebody else's clothes, saying somebody else's words and working in somebody else's space.

"I'm also aware of the fact that you don't get these kinds of shots in the same lifetime. You're only supposed to have one hit show, unless you're Kelsey Grammer."

While he is planning his retirement, Charlie - who was fired from his last show, 'Two and a Half Men' because of his wild partying and bizarre public behaviour - insists he "doesn't believe" in getting older and never wants to "extinguish" the child he still feels at heart.

He added in an interview with the New York Times newspaper: Inside here, regardless of what the persona may be, I'm still the seven-year-old kid in the back of the class, afraid to raise his hand. I don't want this - all of this - to extinguish that child. Because it can.

"And I refuse to grow up. People are like, 'You still look young.' I'm like, 'I don't believe in aging.' I don't believe in failure, fatigue or excuses. I don't believe in them. You're on two hours' sleep and you're shooting your eighth scene of the day - so what? Do it. The Nike slogan doesn't say 'Just Try It.' 'Just Good Luck With It.' It says 'Just Do It.' And you do it."

Charlize Theron almost knocked Michael Fassbender out at MTV Music Awards

Charlize Theron pretends to kick Michael Fassbender at the MTV Movie Awards (AP)

Charlize Theron looks like she landed a knee on Michael Fassbender right where it hurts at the MTV Awards on Sunday night, where the two were on hand to promote their film Prometheus which opens this Friday.

Irish thespian Fassbender, famous for his full frontal in Shame, is still getting ribbed about it. MTV host Russell Brand let him have it good from the stage.

"I think Fassbender should be roundly condemned for profiting from sex addiction," he said.  “I deliberately removed all erotic content from this monologue 'cause he's only there in the second row and if I get him too aroused, I may lose an eye. Fassbender's pink pipe of acting wonder! That's a good skill for an X-Man."

Fassbender laughed, but really, Brand hasn’t been funny in a long, long time. For more with Fassbender, read our interview in this week’s Craic section.

Charlize Theron would 'jump off a building' for Twilight's Kristen Stewart

Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart
The South African actress stars alongside the 'Twilight' beauty in new movie 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and she admits she loved working with her, mostly because she was an excellent back rubber.

She told Access Hollywood: "I really, I really really love that girl. I love that girl, like, I would jump off a building for that girl.

"She's amazing. She's the real deal and she gives a really good back rub. Kristen is the kind of actor that I like to be around because there's nothing she'd really stop at in order to do the job.

"She's got a tremendous amount of talent and you know, I think you can have talent, but if you don't have tenacity and moxy...she's bad ass."

Charlize - who plays the evil queen in the movie - recently revealed she liked to go to work with a sense of fear.

She said: "I do have a sense of fear every day going to work, but I think it's something that I like. I mean I do like the feeling of waking up on my own, having this moment of like, 'Oh, f**k, I hope I can do this today'
because it makes you realize that you're working with material or you're working with a director or you're working with a cast and they're keeping you on your toes.

"Nothing's kinda like, 'I can do this with my eyes closed' and I think that is ultimately what every actor wants, something that challenges you to that point."

Kristen Stewart celebrates her 22nd birthday with Robert Pattinson – Cast of “Snow White” send her special Happy Birthday videos

Kristen Stewart
One of Hollywood’s favorite heroine’s “Twilight’s” Kristen Stewart turns 22 on Monday and it’s not surprised that she spent the weekend celebrating with his boyfriend and costar Robert Pattinson.

According to Celebuzz they headed out to Harvard & Stone, “one of their favorite bars in the outskirts of Hollywood”. As always it seems that RPattz and KStew were the epitome of discretion and kept their heads down taking pleasure in each other’s company…ahhh!

Apparently Harvard & Stone is owned by the same bunch who own Pour Vous, the lounge where Robert Pattinson was spotted at last week, allegedly hanging out with Lindsay Lohan.

Stuart Townsend’s ex Charlize Theron is happy being single

Theron and Townsend at the 2008 Jameson Film Festival

The gorgeous South African Oscar winner Charlize Theron hasn’t been heard from much these past few years, but that’s about to change as she has a good few high-profile roles in the offing, the first one in Young Adult which debuts next month.

Why has she been away for so long?  Part of the reason was at attempt to salvage her nearly 10-year relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend, which went kaput last year.

Townsend, a native Dubliner, lived with Theron in LA and was a constant presence by her side.
They often talked about marriage to the press – but said they wouldn’t tie the knot until the right was also extended to gays. Charlize even wore a commitment ring that Townsend had given to her that was supposed to symbolize their lifetime devotion to each other.

But, alas, like so many things in life, all was not what it seemed.  Theron tells the December issue of Vogue that she knew the relationship was crumbling and tried to save it, so she put her hot career on the back burner.

“It was sinking, and I had to give it a fight,” she told the magazine. “I really wanted to try and make it work. That was the priority. I wouldn’t do it any different way.”

Theron says that she’s had a boyfriend ever since she was a teen, so being on her own has been a strange but liberating experience.

“I’ve never been single,” she says. “This is the first time in my life. From the time I was 19 I’ve been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month.

“It’s been good for me,” she continues. “I’m a creature who’s really found her comfort zone in relationships.”

The role in Young Adult came at just the right time, she says.

“I’d gotten out of a relationship, and I was in this really floaty place. My feet weren’t touching the ground. I just kind of turned to (director Jason Reitman) and was like, ‘I feel like me again.’”

No word on what Townsend has been doing since the split.  At the time he was said to be extremely upset at the parting of ways, not surprisingly.

“Stuart is gutted but Charlize said that she realized during (a holiday) that the relationship was over. They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended,” a friend of hers told the Daily Mail last year.
