Ashley Greene hopes Kristen Stewart’s affair “won’t taint” the ‘Twilight Saga’ franchise

Kristen’s co-star and real life boyfriend Robert Pattinson dumped her during the summer following her fling with married director Rupert Sanders and while the pair have now reconciled, Ashley – who plays Alice Cullen in the vampire series – hopes it won’t hurt the release of ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2’.

She told Seventeen magazine: “Hopefully it won't taint it and people will still be able to enjoy the movie.”

Robert - who plays heartthrob vampire Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight Saga' franchise – recently revealed  he improvised for the sex screens with Kristen, who stars as Bella Swan, in both 'Breaking Dawn' films but was so impressed with his moves that he would love to direct one of his own.

Robert explained: "I haven't even seen the scene and I feel like I did half of it by myself. The only thing I really remember is doing the thing on her clothes [pulling down her zipper] which was my idea, of course it was my idea.

"If you notice the little thing ... we kind of end up at the top [of the bed] and that was my idea as well because we made a little rig for it and that was my idea.

"I should be a director, just for sex scenes. Other than that I just remember staring into the camera and trying to make sexy faces and I don't think it got in the movie."

The 25-year-old actress has portrayed the role of Alice Cullen in the vampire movie series alongside Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and while she is grateful for the opportunity, she admits it can cause problems for her.

She said: "It's hard sometimes when people just say, 'Oh we don't want anyone from 'Twilight'.

"'Twilight' has been amazing, but it's made things a little difficult because you have to prove yourself if you want these really in-depth films."

However, proving herself is not hard because she is willing to go to extreme lengths to take part in a movie she loves - even breaking walls.

She joked to GQ magazine: "I broke someone's wall the other day. I was in an audition and the director said, 'do you remember the scene in the script where you have to fight for your boyfriend's life? I want you to work yourself up and charge across the room like you're running to save him.'

"And after I did it, I couldn't compose myself and I just started crying. And then they asked if I wanted to do it again, and I did, and I ended up putting a hole in the wall.' I was like, 'I'll totally pay for it, I'm so sorry!' "

The 'Twilight Saga' star says she struggled for roles when she first arrived in Hollywood so decided she needed to focus more on her career and less on going out.

The 25-year-old beauty said: "In my second year in Los Angeles, when I was 18, I wasn't getting any bookings. So I stopped going out, stopped partying. It was a matter of getting to the work. I had to focus."

Ashley also revealed how she's looking forward to turning 30 as she thinks she will have more choices when it comes to work.

She told Esquire magazine: "It's a good age. It's an age of choices. What 'Twilight' gave me was years to consider how I wanted to work otherwise."

Ashley - who played Alice Cullen in the vampire franchise - will next be seen alongside Hugh Jackman and Olivia Wilde in 'Butter', an independent film about a small-town girl who discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town's annual contest.
