Hillary Clinton speaks out on her bad hair look - busy schedule means no hairdresser for Secretary of State

During her sit-down with Barbara Walters for the journalist’s annual ‘Most Fascinating People,’ Secretary of State Hillary Clinton chatted about one of her most famous attributes - her hair.

Clinton may have a stellar political background, but Walters chose to talk to Clinton about her famous hairdo and its constant evolving.

“I do not travel with any hairdresser, or anybody, to help me do that, and I’m not very competent myself,” Clinton said to Walters.

“I’ve been admitting that for years, which should be obvious to everyone,” she joked in the interview.

“It’s fascinating to me how people are so curious about it,” she said. “Because after awhile, it just got to be really burdensome to try to find a hairdresser in some city, somewhere, oftentimes not being able to speak English, that at least I could communicate with.”

“So I said: Enough — we’re just going to try to go with as simple as possible,” she added.

Clinton’s ‘do first gained attention when husband Bill became President during the 90s. Back then, Hillary was often found sporting a headband. Now though, she’s opted for a ‘simpler’ slicked back ponytail.

The secretary of state has announced that she will be resigning from her post in the new year, leaving the door wide open for an array of opportunities - most notably another run for presidency in 2016.

Matt Damon slams Barack Obama for not having enough 'balls'

The 'We Bought The 'We Bought The 'We Bought A Zoo' actor was a huge supporter of Obama in the run-up to him winning the US presidency election in November 2008 but says he's been disappointed in how he has run the country.

He told America's ELLE magazine: "I've talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grassroots level. One of them said to me, 'Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politician.' You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better."

However, Matt says he does have some sympathy with Obama because he has a lot to deal with, including ongoing negotiations over the country's debt ceiling.

He said. "I don't know what you do in the face of that kind of intransigence. So, my heart does go out to the president. He is dealing with a lot."

This is not the first time Matt has criticised Obama and the decisions he has made over the past three years.

He recently said: "I really think he misinterpreted his mandate. A friend of mine said to me the other day, I thought it was a great line, 'I no longer hope for audacity.' He's doubled down on a lot of things, going back to education ... the idea that we're testing kids and we're tying teachers' salaries to how kids are performing on tests, that kind of mechanized thinking has nothing to do with higher order. We're training them, not teaching them."

Former President John F Kennedy’s Swedish lover dies aged 79

Gunilla von Post, former alleged mistress of President John F Kennedy, has died at the age of 79. Von Post first met JFK when she was 21; he was fifteen years her senior.

The Daily Mail reports that In 1997, Von Post penned a memoir entitled ‘Love, Jack’, which chronicled her and the President’s love affair. The Swedish socialite first met JFK in August 1953 when he was visiting  in the French Riviera, where she had been sent by her father to brush up on her French.

Von Post recalls of an evening they spent together where, 'He turned and kissed me tenderly and my breath was taken away.” JFK had admitted that he was to be wed within a few weeks to Jacqueline Bouvier, but the two maintained correspondence following his marriage.

Two years later in 1955, JFK visited her home nation of Sweden, where the two consummated their love. Von Post wrote “I was relatively inexperienced, and Jack’s tenderness was a revelation. He said, "Gunilla, we’ve waited two years for this. It seems almost too good to be true, and I want to make you happy.’”

Von Post goes on to claim that Kennedy had phoned his father saying he wanted to divorce Jackie in order to marry Gunilla, but his father advised against it citing that it would ruin his chances of ever becoming President.

Kennedy and Von Post grappled over the idea of Von Post moving to America, though she never did until she was much older. JFK eventually ended the tryst with a handwritten note in which he described his emotions as “complicated.”

The two would have their final meeting three years later at a charity ball at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, after Von Post had married Anders Elkman, a wealthy Swedish landowner. When Von Post saw Kennedy, she had a waiter deliver him a note, to which he requested she meet him outside. Kennedy told Von Post, "It’s wonderful to see you. I love you.”

Von Post silenced any doubters when she put to auction several of the letters Kennedy had sent to her. They fetched an impressive $115,537.50, shattering initial estimates of $50,000.

JFK was rumored to have another affair, most notably with starlet Marilyn Monroe.

Von Post is survived by two daughters of her first marriage and a son of her second.

Andy Rooney disliked being called Irish and made anti-Black and homophobic comments

Andy Rooney wasn't always so lovable.

You'd think watching Andy Rooney's farewell he was all sweetness and light, the kind of grumpy but beloved uncle we'd all love to have.

Except its not the truth.

Rooney has stated some very objectionable opinions over the years.

He was hardly complimentary about his Irish roots.

Consider his comments on Blacks.

He claimed they "watered down their genes because the less intelligent ones are the ones that have the most children."

He was suspended for three months after that little faux pas.

As for homosexuality, Andy could be nasty about that too.

He once stated and that homosexuality is "inherently dangerous".

Sure you can write off such opinions as a man of his times, but let's face it, such comments made today would results in immediate firing and widespread disdain.
